The lights in the room dimmed as Vinn's workers blew out most of the candles along the walls when they stepped onto the stage. Roland shifted, he lifted his head and looked around his blue eyes glowing softly in the low light as his gaze sifted through the crowd failing to find any familiar faces. "Quid hoc est?" He spoke in his native latin tongue and wasn't surprised when he got no answer. As a few demons stepped onto the stage near him he bared his sharp, almost shark-like teeth and let out a soft growl as he backed up until his wings were pressed to the bars of the cage. He recognized one of the demons. The one who had found him in the cave.

Roland, though he didn't trust the demons, gratefully drank the water in greedy sips causing it to drip down his chin and leave small wet spots on his shirt. Once the glass was empty he pushed it away and held onto the bars of the cage.

When people began going up to the cage Vinn sent a few guards to stand near the angel and keep people away from it. They would leave it on display as they went through the rest of the auction after the rest of the wares finally arrived and Kris was sent to guard the angel as well. They began Selling off many rare creatures including a wyvern that shrieked and snapped at anybody who got near as it stayed in it's beast form. It went to a high class demon as did many of the creatures sold. One after another being bought by collectors and those that liked life's luxuries.

At the end of the auction they did indeed get to the angel. And as Jordy began the speech for it, two of the guards near the cage opened it and pulled the angel out, one on either side of it as they dragged Roland to the middle of the stage. They had planned a little display to show off just how unique this creature really was. Roland growled but his head was only pulled back and a knife place to his throat. A few people spoke asking how they knew it was real and not some ploy. Angels were supposed to be extinct after all. In a quick motion the guard slit Roland's throat and metallic silver spilled from the cut. The angel stilled for a moment and the crowd all held their breath. And then the angel pulled away from the guards, the cut at his neck already beginning to heal. He turned his back to the crowd as he faced the demons on stage and hissed a threat in latin. Telling them to stay away from him.

It was chaos. And in the midst of it a demon below had grabbed Roland and pulled him off the stage. He twisted out of the male's grasp and sunk his teeth into his throat, tearing through his carotid artery and letting him bleed to death. Most fled. But some were brave enough to try and grab at him.an run away. Those who did were all shouting. Yelling at him to do one thing or another but their words made very little sense to him. So he ran. But he didn't get far.

The demon who had captured him, Vinn. Had an ability called sedation. And it allowed him to essentially sedate or force a creature into a deep sleep. And so moments after he fled, he fell unconscious.

(I've got an idea as to where the plot can go from here. What if our characters all ended up going together, I would assume that maybe Kris and mark might sorta work together to get Roland away and maybe they are forced to Jordy with them? Of course it's just an idea! We can do whatever you guys want.)

Roland could move. Couldn't see or hear or feel anything. . . Everything was just. . . Black. The never ending darkness seemed to consume him. Paralyzed him. It left him unable to speak or even breathe. But by now he was used to the darkness. He'd spent over a thousand years traped underground surviving only on rats and snakes. It had been dark then to. But his vision had adjusted. He'd been able to see in the cave after a while. But not here. In this death-like state. He could see nothing. And it scared him.
