*After brushing away the dust, the shopkeeper searches for any indication of price with no such luck. She turns back to the feline figure with the so-called stick in hand.

Tuí nods quickly, taking her explorer's bag off her back and sticking her paw in it, searching for her small pouch of coins.
"How much?" She asks in a nervous sounding tone.

Tuí's eyes light up in joy at this but she feels a little cautious. That seems too easy to get. Her name? What happens if she gives away her name? Could this human use it for something? She seems a little wary but still finds herself nodding.
"Tuí. Like the bird!" She pauses then adds, "Ironically."

The feline's eyes widen and a squeaky purr erupts from the depths of her throat, tail twitching in joy. She's ecstatic. Quickly, she takes the stick and holds it in her paws, feeling a sudden surge of power pass through her. Yes, she was right to ask for this stick. It is a good stick. Quickly though, she places it gently down to rest against the counter then digs her pouch of coins out, pushing a few platinum ones towards The Very Mysterious Store Owner.
"Here. You take my coins. You are very generous. Good person."
She closes her eyes and bows her head slightly in respect. After her thank you, she opens them again.
"Your name? Can I ask?" Her head tilts slightly to the side.

Tuí seems a little startled by the gift and almost gives it back but her gaze is easily trapped on the shininess of the object, watching the blues and greens streak across the metallic stone. With a grin, she pockets the item in her explorer's bag along with her pouch of coins.
In the meantime, something, a small group of somethings, move past the window of the store.
[PERCEPTION CHECK]
[Book 12(+5), Tuí 10(+5)]
[Tuí's distracted by her bag and facing away, disadvantage roll]
[Tuí 8(+5)]
Both notice the group outside, both identify that there are three humanoid figures but both see/hear different things.
Tuí. Tuí notices that the group are talking in hisses, she can hear something metal being drawn. Her ears prick to hear more of the conversation outside but it's hard to make out what they're saying through the walls, especially as they aren't speaking her native language. She doesn't think much of it but the tone of voice and unsettling atmosphere that she feels surrounding them makes her a little wary.
Book. Book notices much more than Tuí with her sight. Unlike Tuí, she can see the three humanoids but she can make out that they are commoners. She also spots a small knife being drawn and another commoner holding a club. The leader of the gang speaks in the common language and is holding a knife too. She can pick up on some of the words they speak but not all, such as "go in" and "take" and "kill if needed".

*Book's eyes narrow and a scowl makes its way onto her expression. She slides an open spell book that was resting on the counter closer, using it to also cover the platinum coins. In a low voice, she asks Tuí an important question.
Book:You know how to fight?

Tuí looks back over to Book with a confused but nervous look, she raises a paw and tilts it side to side with a small shrug and hum. Though there isn't much time to say anything as the door swings open and the three commoners off the street charge in, the one in the back kicking the door shut behind them.
[INITIATIVE!]
[Book: 9, Tuí: 2, Commoners 9]
At seeing the Tabaxi, the commoners falter a little in shock having never seen one before.
[Commoners +2]
[Tuí's Turn!]
Tuí spins around at the sound of the door opening and instinctively casts Produce Flame on the closest commoner, commoner 2, hurling the bright fireball at the human. On impact, they take 6 points of damage, which instantly makes them crash back into a table then run back out of the store. Tuí then unsheathes her claws defensively. The commoners feel less confident about their plan now.
