Via wondered aloud, “What smart girl would get tangled up with you?” Until she realized technically whether she liked it or not, she was stuck with Tim. Via rubbed her temple and quickly followed with “Nevermind don’t answer that.” Via studied him for a moment, her hand still rubbing her temple lightly. Admittedly, at first glance he looked very approachable. Just a young man who liked to have fun and if she allowed herself to imagine it, she guessed he wasn’t too bad to look at.
Her partner replied which distracted her from gazing a little too intensely at Timothy. ‘I guess that works. You sure I can’t make the trip? You know I don’t mind.’ Via smiled warmly down at her phone. Mathew was a sweet kid even dispite everything that had happened between them. ‘Really I can drive just fine. I’ll see you later.’
