He never wastes a chance to invite WonPil out to hang out together and have fun. It's summer in Korea, so WonPil won't have problems with the cold and naturally he doesn't want him to suffer in any way.
The new adoptive father of WonPil is a bit more chill, but due to the situation of auriold, he can't fully relax.
In truth, Chen too is especially protective and repeats all the rules to him almost on daily basis.

Anyhow, dressed as two perfectly normal teenage Koreans, he and WonPil leave the magical neighborhood to go to Muggle Seoul. The plan is to reach the internet cafe and try some videogames, till they can, before the new year at Sumasandeul school will begin.
They are walking next to each others on the rainy street, Chan is holding an umbrella for both, as July is a very rainy month in Korea.

The next day at preschool, he waits for WonPil's arrival by the entrance of the cafeteria. He can notice from the other's expression that he is surprised to see him but he also looks happy. Which makes Chan feel happy too.
He smiles and waves. «Hey WonPil!»
«Annyeong!»
«Let's hurry to eat, I'm starving!»
«Arayo right!» WonPil snorts and walks inside the cafeteria, heading straight to the food expositors with his tray.
Chan follows him, still smiling. He can't help but find the other cute and funny.
They both fill their trays with all the food they can contain and head to their usual, empty table.
«By the way…» says WonPil, starting to eat his sausages. «Mianhamnida that I couldn't come with you, yesterday… I hope you didn't get offended…»
«Of course no, don't worry. Your father was there to pick you up, it would have been rude to just send him away!» He winks, not having taken it for ill at all. «I guess that asking you again today will have the same answer?»
WonPil bites his lip and turns a little nervous. «It's not that I wouldn't like to hang out with you… it's just… that appa… I think he is a bit a careful type. I mean, even if now I know the path to come here, he still wants to come to accompany me and take me home everyday… I think he wouldn't be ok if I went out…»
Chan nods. «I understand, don't worry. You are still little, your father doesn't want you to be in the street. It's fine!» He smiles.

He shakes his head. «Though… how about you come to our home instead? Your dad should be ok about it?»
WonPil's eyes widen and he looks as if pondering the proposal for a bit. «I don't think he would mind. I will ask to him and tell you what he says, arasseo?» He smiles too, showing his dimples in their full splendor.
«All right then. Tomorrow you tell me what he said and if he's ok with it, we go to our place after your classes.»
«Deal!»

After the end of lessons, Chan, who was already outside, waits to see WonPil and ShinLin leave, like the precious day, then he returns home as well.
After setting his room for a bit and cleaning the apartment where he lives with his older brother, he heads to the kitchen to prepare dinner.
He makes some noodles for both, with a thick, meaty sauce, very tasteful.
He sits by the table and just waits while the food cooks.
Meanwhile, his brother comes home too. «Hey!» Chan greets.
«Hey…» Chen lets his big bag fall on the floor and goes to wash his hands before joining in the kitchen.
«Bad day?»
«The usual…» He takes his head in hands while leaning his elbows on the table.
«Dinner is almost ready.»
«Okay…»

Chan quickly sets the table for both and takes some drinks, then serves the food.
«GeGe, by the way… I asked a friend to come over tomorrow.»
«You made a friend? How come?»
He shrugs, looking down at his noodles. «I like him… he is a nice guy…»
A moment of silence from Chen. «All right.»
«It's not certain yet though. He has to ask for his father's permission. He might not give it.»
«How young is he?» He raises a brow.
«He said he is 14. He is new here, I think that's why his father is a bit overprotective…»
Chen places a hand on Chan's shoulder. «Try not feeling too sad if he can't come.»
