Chan's Blog

First date.

He proposed the date to WooPil in the old fashioned way, asking him if he would do him the honour to come to a date with him. As if they had not been living together for months already.
Needless to say that his boyfriend accepted and both spent some time in the late afternoon making themselves handsome for the date.
In homepage their outfits, they don't really have elegant clothes and Chen's ones aren't very fitting for their physiques. Too long and large for WooPil, too long and tight for Chan.

They go out at the right time for dinner and they walk on foot to the Italian pasta restaurant where Chan booked a table for them two. Chan is aware they will be followed, but WooPil doesn't know it.
They reach the restaurant and take a seat by their table, starting to check the menu right away.

플래시백 — Flashback

WooPil reached South Korea the same way as in the initial idea: www.roleplay.me/blog/261573

It's a boring afternoon of a summer Sunday. Chen insisted to go camping as soon as he came back from school for the summer break and he accepted. He is always reluctant at first, but ends up enjoying camping with his brother. The part he hates is the car. Hours of driving to get there and then return, but Chen is too fearful to teleport. "What if we end up appearing right in front of some muggles?"
How unlucky could a person possibly be for that to happen? But he can't argue on that. Besides, Chen loves his car and to drive it. It's pointless arguing with him about that.

When they get close to Seoul, his hyung turns the car and drives into an almost entirely empty parking lot, that of a rest stop. There are only two other cars, one of which looking like it was just dumped there in 1946 and never reclaimed.
«I have to use the restroom, I'll be fast», says Chen, opening the door.
«Arasseo», replies Chan, without moving bis eyes from the screen of his phone. He is reading KinnPorsche novel. «Don't stop by the convenience store.» He knows his brother would take forever there. Besides, they don't need anything. Thanks to the Doubling Charm, they only need one of each item that they can multiply to infinity. Why waste money for other stuff? Their kitchen is full of all of their favourite food and snacks all the time.

5 minutes pass and no track of Chen. 10 minutes, then 15. Chan is much less patient than he likes to admit, but if there is something that drives him crazy is having to wait.
He puts the phone on his pockets and gets out of the car to go to check it his brother fell into the WC. He has to walk past the convenience store to reach the restroom and from the transparent walls of it he clearly sees Chen inside.
Why the heol did he have to go there? They even have food in the car, the leftover snacks they brought to the camping.
Snorting and not hiding his annoyance, Chan walks inside the convenience store but, before be could reach his hyung, an unknown boy approaches Chen first.
Clearly young, short and cute, dressed like he just time-traveled from the 1960s, messed hair, old clothes. Did he say already cute? Damn cute. He never knew he had a type but that boy is totally his type.

«I found… I would like… this…» says the boy to Chen, in a heavy North Korean accent. Chan can feel that he is scared, but also excited and uncomfortable. He is showing a little packet of… dried anchovies?!
«Y… what is that? Anchovies? Ew… I mean… are you sure?» Chen's face turned green at the sight of those.
«Hyung?» Chan finally reaches them, after staring at the mysterious boy for probably a couple of minutes straight.
«Oh, Channie! I took long? Meet WooPil, I'm offering him a snack!»
The boy bows, very slightly. It's clear as day that his back hurt and he is unable to move smoothly. «Annyeonghasimnikka…» he mumbles shyly.
«Annyeonghaseyo, WooPil.» Chan bows too and looks at the anchovies. «Wait here.» He walks away from them and starts to quickly browse through the shelves of the convenience store, grabbing some inspiring foods.
He returns one minute later with a bottle of chocolate milk, a big sausage on a skewer and a peach yogurt, that he took because he noticed that WooPil sent it several glances before he arrived to them.
«That looks better.» Chen motions to place the stuff by the cashier and pays with his phone.
Chan somehow guessed, from the way WooPil felt, that he was uncomfortable accepting Chen's offering and didn't want to make him spend a lot, so he took literally the cheapest thing he found. But in the doubt he could really be into dried anchovies, they buy those for him too. XD

«Come, come!» Chan motions WooPil to follow and accompanies him to the dining area of the convenience store, where table and microwave over are.
He sets the sausage to cook in the microwave and then hands it to WooPil. «Sit there, eat comfortably. I'll just tell something to my hyung.» He gives the other a slight smile and approaches Chen, at some distance.
In order to avoid potential muggles to hear, they speak in New Dolashin for a bit. «He is North Korean for sure, probably a defector…»
«I think so. And he is wounded. In the bathroom I saw he had blood on his hand when he was washing them. I also saw some blood on the back of his tank top, under the cardigan.»
«We have to take him with us, or he will end up in troubles for sure.»
«But Chan… we live in the magic neighbourhood, we can't take a Muggle there… the secrecy…»
«If wizards can marry and have children with muggles, exposing them to that world for their selfishness, then wizards can also expose a muggle to it to save his life.»
«You are right…»
«Call your warlock friend, tell him to come to heal him at home. Also, let's avoid to make a commotion here. There are probably cameras in the parking lot and I doubt he will come with us easily. I have my soporific potions in the backpack, put some drops into a Yakult and wait for us.» Before meeting WooPil, Chan had serious difficulties to sleep so he needed the potion for himself.

After having that conversation with Chen, he returns to WooPil and sits in front of him. The other already finished everything and is actually eating the dry anchovies for real, like they were candies.
«These are so salty!» says WooPil with a smile. He is excited again and not uncomfortable anymore. The food must have given him a good mood.
Chan can't help but smile at the feelings he perceives from the other. «Are you here all alone, WooPil?»
The boy hesitates but eventually nods. «I am traveling to Seoul, to find a job. So I can receive a house there. I will work really hard!»
In case it wasn't clear enough that WooPil is surely a North Korean defector. «We are from Seoul. Do you need a ride?»
«Uh… aniyo, gomapseumnida though… I have my car, I can't leave it here…»
You are younger than me and even I can't have a driving licence and a car yet — Chan thinks. «Arasseo.»
«I should go now… jinjja, gomapseumnida for this food… it was so good…» he says in a low, cute, shy tone.
«Eo, let's go, my brother went out already…» He places his hands on his pockets and the two walk out together. Their cars are parked next to each others.
When they arrive, Chan opens the back door of Chen's car. «Jogiyo, WooPil, jamkamman! Come a second!» He enters in the back seat and motions the other to come inside too. «Drink this with us before we go! Sit a moment!»
WooPil obeys, even though it's probably the most dangerous thing one could do with strangers. It's clear that the boy is very naive and… not exactly a cunning one.
Chan hands him an open bottle of Yakult and takes one for himself too. «Geonbae!» — Cheers —
WooPil drinks the little bottle in one go and less than one second later, he collapses on the seat.
Chan closes the door of the car and holds the sleeping WooPil. «Let's go.»

Chen drives back and parks the car outside what would look like an abandoned factory/slums/bar. That's where the entrance to the magical neighborhood is, in Seoul. Chan takes WooPil in his arms to carry him to their apartment, where he place him on his own bed.
The warlock, Noctis, arrives shortly after their return and goes to check on the boy right away. Other than healing his wound and informing Chan and Chen that sadly the bullet caused damages that is too late to fix, even for magic, he warns the two that WooPil is not just a muggle/mundane, but likely one like them. "He is imbued with an ancient magic, more like that you display, than that of wizards and witches, much different from the demonic magic of warlocks."
Chan had already decided, even before that information, that they would keep WooPil with them and take care of him. And that's exactly what happens, WooPil stays with them till they are kidnapped and taken to Nortrig.

F word.

It can be said that he didn't take what Liu told him well, at all. He was so mad that there were only two possible scenarios: explode in a way everyone would remember forever or the wench approach. Poor the foolish people thinking average anger attacks are the worst.

He is quite a determined d*ckhead and like all the first generation Oni — to remember that Gu, their father, is not an Oni but a fallen God —, he is much more powerful than he realises. And when he has something in his mind, one way or another, he will eventually make it happen.
That's how, fueled by his anger, focusing very heavily and using all the knowledge he acquired in the magical school on Earth, after many hours of failed attempts, he managed to open a portal leading to their own apartment in the magic boulevard in Seoul.

And since he no longer trusts to leave WooPil alone in that residence, he decides to bring him along too, with the intention of leaving him in the apartment while himself goes to buy stuff around.
The portal is in their bedroom and Chan doesn't plan to close it, since he has no certainty he would be able to open it again. It's so luminous that even with the door closed there is enough clues to get suspicious.

D

He is not a particularly patient type nor one who likes to have people keeping an eye on him when he does his stuff.
His teachers in school weren't surprised at all that he resulted in Yin group, after him spending several years there.

Anyhow, after making sure WooPil returned safely to their residence, he leaves only warning his boyfriend about it.
He walks towards the stables right outside the palace and asks for a horse to have a ride outside the city. And since nobody in the royal family would care if he dies, he doesn't find opposition from the stable boy.
He walks out of the stables with the horse he was given, ready to mount.

Surprises.

He wakes up very early in the morning and decides to go for some training, avoiding to wake WooPil up. He doesn't pay much attention to anything, due to being quite sleepy.
He trains outside and that's where a servant sent by the Crown Prince warns him that WooPil is expected to meet with the young Prince for the next meal, on that same day.

He can't fully hide the annoyance of all the princes who are getting private time with his boyfriend, but it's not like he can make a mess there. He receives the instructions from the servants, including how to behave in the presence of the Prince, and returns to the residence.

Almost as soon as he steps in, he can feel a crazy amount of fear coming from their bedroom. That's an instant alarm bell for him, who rushes there and tries to open, but the door, strangely, is locked. And WooPil never locks the door, normally.
He starts to knock loudly. «Babe, open, it's me… if something is wrong you should definitely let me in!»
He only hears some sobs from inside and no answer. «WooPil, are you there?!» He is getting totally out of himself and can barely think. «Open the door or I will have to bring it down!» He keeps knocking harder and harder.

Before Chan could indeed break it — and it was really close — the door gets unlocked.
He opens and storms inside, to which he has a moment of freeze. There is no WooPil in the room, only a girl. Wearing his clothes?? If he was mad before, now he is totally blinded. Otherwise, he'd notice some obvious details that would spare him from acting like a d*ck.
«WHO ARE YOU?! WHERE IS WOOPIL?! WHY ARE YOU WEARING HIS CLOTHES?» Without waiting for the girl to answer, he aims to grab her by neck, but she escapes and runs out of the room.
Chan chases after her and manages to grab her hair. She gets forced to turn around and he slaps her on the face right away.
In a fraction of a second, though, Muhan appears between them and stabs the floor, as to protect the girl, who is now on her knees and crying.
