Chan's Blog

빌 알

When TiHao proposes him to return to WooPil, it's very late in the night, since it was already evening when they left for that feud.
Chan is very bitter, but he is not angry at Shige for what happened. He knows it wasn't his brother's fault if they ended up having to spend so much time there. What infuriates him is to always end up stuck in these situations where he doesn't have a choice, where he can't do what he really wants to do and is just forced to do what he must. He swore that he would never chose anything over WooPil, yet it keeps happening.
He is also frustrated because of the fact that, in a way or another, he can never rely on anything from anyone, while everyone counts on him for everything.

He returns to the camp in a black mood, as those infuriating thoughts accompanied him all the way back.
Without caring of the fact there are many soldiers who are awake and witnessing, he opens a portal in front of them all, in the middle of the camp. A big, black and red portal, that looks scarily threatening, like a storm about to explode and devour everything. It's just a portal that leads to Earth, though, but it reflects the mood of who opened it. For some reason, the worse his mood is, the easier magic comes to him.
With the same nonchalance as Daemon cutting a Prince's head in half inside the court, he walks through the portal, well aware that it's illegal, but right now he cares as much as Daemon.
He comes back out of it just a few seconds later, in Nortrig time, as he only spends some minutes on Earth. He carries multiple paper bags with him.

As soon as Chan steps out of the portal, it starts to vanish. Nobody dared to approach it, as it would look scary even for those who are used and knowledgeable about portals.
Reached his tent, he unsheathes Ruinbringer and stabs the ground right by the entrance of the tent, in case someone wanted to come to question him about the portal.

Cat and fox.

He flies with Shangque over the woods and eventually they manage to catch a glimpse of the buildings in the trees that are part of this new, mysterious feud. They can't get very close, due to the tree tops and foliage, but at least they figure out the exact position of the feud.

As they return to the camp, Chan hurries to warn Shige about everything that happened while he was away and what they found in the woods. It's certainly no case that a group of cats came and burned down their supplies. They are also aware about nimox so it's not hard to guess that the cats are all like Gino and that it was a carefully planned attack on their damage.

Before Lianxi could decide what to do, a Messanger from the mysterious feud arrives at their camp, to deliver a message from his rulers themselves.
The King and Queen formally invite the leader of the camp to discuss about the incident, in their own palace, right away. The Messanger also reveals to them that the cat they caught is the youngest son of the King, therefore, Lianxi doesn't need to worry about foul playing from their side — otherwise they could easily kill the young prince.

고양이

When they return to the camp, (Huo Shi and Hudie), it's getting dark and there is a bit of a weird atmosphere. Maybe because the camp is still almost empty with the troops having not returned yet, or is it the cats? There is a group of black cats all around the camp, some sitting, some wandering around and observing. They surely weren't there before they left for the battle and didn't come from Lianxi either.

The camp has to obviously be pretty far from the feuds they will attack, and in a shrouded, but strategic position, near a source of water too. Which makes the cats even more strange to see. They don't look like dirty and wild cats from the woods.

Chan is right outside the tent where he and WooPil are staying, smoking a cigarette. He cleaned himself from the blood and dirt of the battle, but still has some wounds and bruises that his fast healing didn't have the time to erase from his skin.

이 후 빌

For some reason that he can't fully understand, WooPil kind of struggles while the physician tries to mend his belly. To the point he is asked to hold WooPil still, in order to make things right. Chan feels dreadful to do that, but knows that they need to cure the wound, they can't risk it gets infected.
Due to WooPil's strange behaviour, the process lasts a little longer than it normally would, but everything goes well.
He picks his boyfriend up and takes him to his own tent, so they can be quiet and by themselves.

Chan gently places WooPil on the blanket and, even before he could lie next to him, the other is already curled up to the side, pressing his knees against his belly.
Chan lies to the side too and wraps his arms around WooPil, keeping him close to his body. By now, they are both crying silently.
«Mianhe…» murmurs Chan, after a bit. «I was wrong, I shouldn't have left…» He makes a bit of a long pause. «There is nothing more important than you, to me…»
WooPil feels like a completely useless person. Someone who didn't even earn the right to cook a meal, in all the time he has been working in the kitchen. Hudie saved his life with his move, there is absolutely no doubt, but it also had a bad side on him. He keeps crying silently and not saying anything, not changing his position either.

He only leaves WooPil side to get some food for them, but his boyfriend doesn't want to eat anything and there is no way to convince him.
The next day, Chan has to leave to go to fight, but his mind is more in that tent than in what he is doing.

The Day.

As he said, he went to Earth and bought an owl to deliver the letter to Huodong. He had no certainty that it would work, but he hoped so, since otherwise he would have to return to that place to deliver the message himself.
The owl took about 5 days to get there and return with the answer, that was positively received. Huodong accepted to meet in the location they chose, in order to perform the exchange.
The days it took for the message to travel also gave Lianxi and Xingxi the chance to study the location and prepare in the best way possible.

The Day of the meeting comes even too fast for Chan's tastes. He doesn't manage to get rid of that feeling on uneasiness concerning Huodong and the guy he saw there. He somewhat hope that the guy is not their leader and that he won't show up to the meeting.
Persuading WooPil to not come is probably the worst part of it, but eventually he manages to convince him over the fact that "only few people can come or they will find the situation suspicious". After all, his part of the plan is to teleport away with WuXing as soon as there is the chance and avoid the possible troubles coming next.

Lianxi and Xingxi people arrive to the neutral location with some advance over the time they decided and have to wait for Huodong, but they too arrive with some advance, just not as much as them.
The people from Huodong who came look all pretty rough and threatening, but they have WuXing with them and although the kid is evidently terrified, he doesn't seem to be hurt in any way. They are 10 people and a man among them acts as if he was the leader.
Chan can't help but be relieved that the guy he saw indeed isn't present.

At first, everything would appear to be going smoothly, except that at some point, before the exchange, Huodong guards start to get suspicious, as if they sensed the trap.
There is a little chaos starting, that quickly escalates in a mess.
Not having much time to think, Chan reacts as quickly as he can to grab WuXing and teleport back to Lianxi with him. In the process, though, he ends up teleporting also the person who was holding the kid, inadvertently making a prisoner from Huodong.

On the other side, the situation is dire and the Huodong are heavily outnumbered by the Xingxi soldiers that were hiding in the forest.
The only person among the Huodong who can teleport, grabs the first Lianxi/Xingxi person he can reach and disappears with him, while rest of the people stay there to fight till the end. They could have easily joined the teleporting guy and left with him, but it was evident they didn't want to.
Since XinLan joined the fight and he was no easy target, due to his position in the battle, the Huodong who took Hudie didn't have the chance to take him.
It was a random take, rather than a choice, just to avoid to return empty handed to the real leader.

After teleporting, Hudie finds himself right behind the very tall, rocky walls (outside) that Chan and Shangque saw and gets surrounded by various guards that help to restrain him. They aren't gentle at all and if Hudie struggles, they don't hesitate to beat him up until he becomes more cooperative, one way or another.
