The departure from Cyno helps him to feel less cantankerous, but his mood doesn't really change. He is still off and different from usual. Proof that Cyno isn't really the cause of it, but an aggravating factor. Simply put, because he feels inferior to him and it bothers him hugely, because he thinks they are the same age and Cyno should only be a little more trained than him. He is not considering that the other lived thousands of years as Deshret and part of that power is still contained in his golden core.
He feels pretty dreadful in that city, but the high amount of evil also help to energise him in various ways. It's the kind of place where he could kill someone - evil - even by accident.
Since they are there to ask people for information, he tries to approach a group of teens that look like typical hooligans. Of course it only leads to Chan beating them all up pretty badly.

The guard who was with WooPil ran immediately back to the Palace to report the crazy happening. He didn't know how to explain it much, he just saw WooPil literally disappearing like out of magic and he was completely powerless in front of that.
Needless to say that as soon as the news reaches Chan, he instantly heads to the location of the disappearance to investigate. Until Lani phones him and explains him what happened. It doesn't make him any less angry and annoyed, because he is worried to know WooPil somewhere potentially dangerous with himself to watch over him.
He has to go to the palace to warn the Queen about the situation Lani told him and when he is done, he goes to look for Tino.
There isn't much he can do, he can't go on that Astral Express thing by himself — or he would have already done it — so… he decides to blame the dog for running off and causing WooPil to end up in that situation.

Regardless the morbid poster they came across, the festival for Liberation holiday is still a very nice celebration, at least in the good sides of the city.
There are many stands, games and fireworks to celebrate the Queen and the Kingdom and it lasts several days. Naturally, there are also exhibitions and lots of delicious food stands.
Around the centre of the city is where stuff is the prettiest but also more expensive. It's where rich people go to have fun during the festivity. And the guys decide to go to the festival too, since it's a pleasant thing.
They leave the palace all together, but soon enough they part ways, leaving WooPil, KiNo and Razor with Chan.

Needless to say that Chan goes totally crazy and starts to look for him everywhere. The square and streets are incredibly crowded and chaotic, a total mess of noises, chatter and music that makes the search even more difficult.
