His babies are so quiet and cute he just can't ❤
He wishes they had stayed babies for a little longer so that he could have an excuse to skip his job for some months, but luck wasn't on his side.
Anyhow, he spends most of his day in Shiinden, as he has to work at night and after recovering from the heavy effects of such a complicated pregnancy, he returns to his usual 'patrols'. Someone has to keep monitor, especially now that WuXin has to teach in the school and ShiSui is horny for TiShan.

While doing his patrol, it doesn't slip his eyes that there is someone new that he didn't hear anything about. Though, despite the strangeness of the individual, he gives for granted that nobody could be there if not taken there by someone else, so maybe it's just that he doesn't know.
In the doubt, he definitely asks around about him.

When WuXin comes, he looks at him, being just as worried as TianQi for the lack of response. «There is JinYi in there, something is up with him and he might be in need of help», he hurries to say.

When the door gets opened, they find JinYi on the bed. LaNi approaches him to check his vitals and thankfully he is not dead nor in an unstable condition. He passed out from weariness, since he literally spent the two whole previous days crying, without eating, drinking nor sleeping.
At that point, though, nothing saves JinYi from a full checkup, but what he was trying to hide is evident even without needing to take his clothes off. His face is full of signs of heavy beat ups, as well as the whole rest of his body, but what LaNi finds the most worrying are the bruises around his neck, as if someone strangled him.

LaNi refreshes the medication for his broken ankle, that got all messed up, and applies some medicines that will make the bruises heal faster, plus a couple of injections.
After seeing all that JinYi went through, he can't help but fear that Hoseok could he the responsible, due to the weird behaviour QI reported and also the fact he suddenly appeared in Shiinden again after a long time.
He took pictures on his phone of the injuries on JinYi's body, to keep them as a proof for when they'll act to uncover the matter.

He leaves after being done with all the procedures.

The day after the seizure, LaNi spends most of the time next to XinLan, in his bed, monitoring his health. As he expected, his son feels very bad for most of the day, due to the effects of the crisis he had.
LaNi makes sure to find the time to carry on the tests on the child's blood to isolate the cause of the seizure. And he manages to find out exactly what it was.

In addition to that, LaNi performs other tests that make him realise that, most likely due to his elements, XinLan's health needs to be monitored closely and constantly, and that to preserve, it will require a few measures too.
As a first thing, he is preparing an accurate diet to ensure that his body won't get to lack in terms of energies and nourishments.
The other important thing to do is to help XinLan spend a sufficient amount of energies during the day, to avoid that they will go 'bad' and turn into something that negatively impacts the child's health, both mental and physical.

"XinLan needs to train every day", LaNi says to himself, determined to do all that is needed to keep his son healthy.
The day after the recovery, after monitoring XinLan having a rich breakfast, he takes him out with him to the House of Tiger. Since his son likes that kind of environment, what a better place than the rainforest to train him?
XinLan acts hesitant and stressed, but LaNi manages to convince him to play, putting the whole training in game terms.
Catch game for warming up, climbing on trees, hide and seek, explore around while searching for heavy things to move.

They come back after 5 hours. "Shall we make a challenge who teaches the Grand Temple first?" he asks to XinLan, walking out of the House of Tiger with his arm wrapped around him.

After the shock, his absolute priority should have been to head to his lab to study XinLan's blood and find the cause of the seizure. The problem was that he himself was way too unstable to focus on something and didn't manage to leave his son's side.
He remained next to him for the whole night, as a precaution in case another seizure could occur. These things can be unpredictable and he knows well.

The night proceeded smoothly and without further accidents. He didn't sleep much, as he was too worried. In situations like these, he can't help but feel responsible, considering it as a negligence from his side. What does he have so much knowledge and skills for, if he can't make sure his children will be safe from these events?

He walks out of XinLan's bedroom in the morning and heads straight to the kitchen. He has already a number of theories on what could have caused the seizure and since it will take some hours to get the results from the blood samples, he wants to put a remedy to what he considers the most likely option.
He starts to take out stuff from the pantry.

It's the 'speak to WuXin week' and everyone has something to tell him :v
But unlike WonPil, he brings an homage made of crunchy shrimp chips.

After returning to Shiinden from the city, he heads straight to the Grand Temple with the paper bag containing the tasty snack, looking for WuXin in the rooms he usually spends more time into during the day.
It'll be a good occasion to discuss a couple of things, including organising about YooJin and RuYin's plan.
