The merchant ship docked at the harbour. Yulia immediately notices the 20 metres tall stone wall protecting the city behind the dock, on top of it some students are patrolling behind the battlements, clad in 8th century chainmails and wearing armbands with "Public Morals Committee" written on it.

"Alright, this is it. Viking High." Yulia murmured "No contacts, no supplies. no safehouses. Let's try to pull off an espionage here"

The Viking school ship is sailing at high latitudes, with constant low temperatures, Yulia saw most of the houses in the villages along the way had their base stone structure built underground for heat preservation, supported with wooden beams and walls, and the top is covered with wheat straw.

The school is built of black granite, a towering building with an ominous atmosphere.

If it wasn’t for the tanks driving around town from time to time alongside the horse carriages, Yulia would almost think she went back in time.

Some medieval Nordic words are being used as well. Yulia had heard the local students addresses the tank commanders in their senshado team as “Huscarl”, and the Student Council members are “Jarl”.

“Well, what an interesting school is it not?” Yulia said jokingly.

Kasumi seemed to be blown away by the school as she looked about from the shadow's at the surrounding's before her. Such an odd school, with such a fantastic looking style, it was...just mind boggling.

The rural farmsteads are few and far between on this school ship, disguised as tourist and travelling on horse carriages across roads indicated by stones, the largest village Yulia and Katsumi saw only consists of only around only fifteen to twenty farmsteads.

The clothes of the people she saw were simple and practical, just like the Vikings, made from woollen or linen cloth, with animal skins to keep warm in the winter. Men wore trousers and a long-sleeved shirt or tunic, while women wore loose-fitting dresses, usually with an apron over the front. But these were made with modern materials, only resembling the looks of it.

They are not living in amish style, after all. Chores like plowing the fields were done by machines, plough were pulled by tractors, sometimes converted retired tank hull like Panzer I & II. There are also TV and satellite antennas coming out of the stone-wooden houses.

A trade town is being set up around the school. Surrounded by stone walls, markets were held on the quay. Nearby, potters, leatherworkers, carpenters, tank mechanics and other craftspeople were busy in their workshops.

“Here we are, where do you think we should start?” Yulia looked around and saw the mead hall. A large wooden longhouse with an upside down longboat as roof, where the local community would gather to socialise.

Kasumi then noticed some students walking towards the hall, passing by a lot of foliage..perfect for cover. ''We can use those bushes as cover to get close to the door so we can listen in...sound good to you?'' she asked, getting ready to move to new cover.

"Sounds good, let's go." The two approaches the mead hall. Yulia then notices some people going in and out of the large building dresses like tourist as well, seems like the mead hall is open to public like some university's canteen.

So they got inside without trouble. Yulia immediately notices the open fireplace at the middle of the hall, people are drinking, eating, singing songs around it. Mead are being served, and it looks like a lot of people are a bit tipsy from the honied alcohol.

''..Hmm..let's see'' whispered Kasumi, looking around the hall silently from behind some pillars before noticing some..more well dressed individuals up near the top of the long viking styled table.

''Hmm....look there. They could be the commander's..or at least some form of high authority in the school..let's take a a look.'' Kasumi waited for her moment, before silently dashing from cover to cover, trying not to be seen by anyone, which was certainly a hard task with their being so many people around.

There’s not much luck in the mead hall. Yulia listened to most of the conversations, drunk or sober, but it was all just random chatters.

Yulia remembers that one of the senior students had told her that the KGB of Pravda had infiltrated most of the other school ships, and the way to contact an underground focal point in case of lost of communication would be through newspapers. Encoded messages are often printed unbeknownst to normal citizens.

She managed to found a newspaper left around the mead hall and try to find the article she can decipher with the method her senpai taught her. She decoded the message, and it reveals a location that is a bench at a nearby part.

She sat at the bench for a while before realising what she needs to do, she reaches underneath the bench, and there is a 500 Yen coin stuck there with a gum. It’s lighter then usual coin, she knew this is one of those hollow coin used by the KGB to transfer messages.

In a toilet stall, Yulia opened the hollow coin with a Swiss Army Knife she had with her. A small piece of paper, with binary code written on it, like “ 01110011 01100001 01101101 01110000 01101100 01100101”.
Decoding it reveals a location in a nearby inn.

Kasumi had watched and followed Yulia throughout all of this, somewhat bewildered and confused, not really knowing what to do..she was taken aback and surprised by all the things Yulia knew about this spy work..even more so about Pravda's KGB Group.
