Dear Parent Or Guardian.
Hello!
If you are recieving this letter then that means you have been specially chosen for Bessarion High School, where the students have a special difference to normal children. It has come to our attention that your child has a unique power. Whether you know this or not, our people have been observing everyone in normal schools for a quality that would seem unearthly, and please do not take this as an insult - we, as a school, are based around these unearthly powers and we are just trying to find a place where their skills can fit in among others like them.
Below you will find a student form in which you will need to fill in all information from the boxes and any additional information that you might require.
We strongly advise you talk to your children about this, because they may not want to partake in this cause, but trust us, it would be a golden opportunity missed to enhance the spoken child's powers, along normal subjects too.

Rules:
1: No godmodding, except if your power is obviously greatly useful to something and you excel in it.
2: Choose sensible powers. Not terrible, but not terribly good. We will allow A-List powers, but no powers like, "Can absorb other people's powers." or, "Can control everyones mind."
3: Use proper grammar, capital letters and full stops are vital, grammar and spelling can be worked on.
4: Do not be inactive, there's no time to wait for people, we will be interacting.
5: Violence - No Limit on this, go crazy. Romance - PG - 13 for Americans, 15 for British.
Need to Know:
The kids will have got their powers from birth, and most will have been watched until they reach high school age. No freak storm or radioactive spiders folks.
By the way the school is not a boarding school, times go from 9:00AM (Start of School) - 4:00PM (End)

Name: Ashliel (Ash-lee) Ride
Gender: Female
Power: Avian Abilities (Flight, Heightened senses; Smell, Hearing, Reflexes, Sight)
Background: Ashliel never felt special. She wanted to do more, she wanted to be somebody. Not "bird girl" or "angel". Her whole life seemed like a joke. Other kids were able to bend fire, walk through walls, heal the sick. Her parents were heroes, keeping those who used their powers for evil in check. Her father with his super speed and her mother with her ability to control animals. But she could only fly, so that's what she did. At the age of 12 she ran away from home until the law required all gifted children to attend. She made a vest to hide her wings under her uniform. It hurt but she'd rather people not know her ability and make fun of her. She used her parents status to ditch any ability training and sat out.
Personality: She could be described as quiet but really she's just guarded. Doesn't like to let people in, fearing of being judged by her peers. Really she just wants to feel like she can do something great, she is kind and compassionate but tries to hide it. It slips out occasionally.

Ashliel tapped her finger against her cheek as she waited for her toast to burn, her chin resting on her palm. She ignored her mother's judgmental eyes boring into the back of her skull.
"What are you wearing ? Is that a jacket over your school uniform?"
"Yeah, or else my wings would show."
"But it's going to be hot today."
She'd had this argument before and it would go nowhere like always. She didn't care if kids thought she was a freak for wearing a black windbreaker over her uniform. 'As long as I don't get called bird girl then it's worth it.' Ashliel could fly to school, many kids who had levitational abilities did but of course they didn't have 16 foot wings growing out of their back. It would be faster that way but she would be seen and, well, that would defeat the purpose of the windbreaker.
Ashliel grabbed the toast and headed out, she said goodbye to her mom who was still yelling at her to take the jacket off.
"Alright, here goes nothing..." she muttered to herself.

Ashliel pulled the collar of the jacket higher as she shifted her weight from one foot to the next. She dusted some feathers off her skirt, it would be thirty or so more minutes before her bus arrived. Though she could already be at the school if she would use her wings.
A fond memory, the only memory really, of her childhood was Ashliel trying to cut them off. She'd thought at the time that if she got rid of them, she'd get a new real power instead. Many kids had abilities that changed their appearance. She wasn't a fan. None of the other kids had wings so she was the weird one.
She shook her head, like she could shake the memory away so easily. 'Just 8 hours of school, it'll be fine..'
