Woopino's Blog

Big Stink.

After spending some time with Chan, WooPil "falls victim" of Cyno. Now that he doesn't have a job nor anything he can be useful at, he thought well to spend more time with Woopino.
Since it's not raining, Cyno proposes to bring WooPil to the park, even if it's a bit cold. The little one doesn't mind the proposal in truth, so the two head out together.

Cyno carries WooPil to the park, keeping him in his arms all the time. He is overprotective and doesn't intend to take any risk when he takes the child out.
They buy some peas from the market and once they reach the park, Cyno lets Woopino fees them to the ducks in the pond.
All seems relaxed and well, until WooPil starts to get nervous for no apparent reason.

(༎ຶ ෴ ༎ຶ)

While ZhongLi was busy with Zaiyi, Woopino returned from Chan's residence and headed straight back to his father's place. The servants, though, knowing that the King was busy with a concubine, thought that they couldn't let WooPil in. They are still not knowledgeable enough in handling the young prince and for that reason, they have the bad idea to take him, by force, to his own residence. Where they assume he should be. XD

WooPil tries to oppose, but he doesn't make a big fuss and is definitely not strong enough to go against adults picking him up and taking him somewhere.
But that's of course the beginning of a valley of tears, as the child cries all the way there and even for a few hours when in his residence, until he falls asleep.
Since the servants feared that he would flee and wander around outside at night, a couple of them spent the whole night at WooPil's residence to make sure he wouldn't do that.

Magic pen.

The artefact WooPil "found" is quite a unique item, in truth, unlike the typical artefacts that have been known so far.

Differences from normal artefacts:

• The pen's effect is not static, it scales on the power of the user.
- Typically, artefacts scale on their own power, regardless of the person who uses them. If the artefact has a 1000 potential, it will produce a 1000x effect whoever uses it, regardless of the person's powers or cultivation.
The pen, instead, will produce a result entirely dependant on the power and cultivation of the user.

• It doesn't absorb the magic energy of the user, but that of the environment.
- Artefacts need to recharge when used and normal ones absorb the magic energy from the person who uses them, in the moment they are being used. That makes them dangerous to various extents, as they could drain a person's whole life force, and it also makes their recharge immediate.
The pen, instead, has a long recharge time as it slowly absorbs the magic energy from the environment.

• The pen has two elements.
- Traditional artefacts strictly have one element and that actually makes them more powerful, as they have a high, concentrated amount of pure and stable magic.
The pen, having two elements, loses a strong amount of its potential for balancing the two elements together.

• It's unclear where it came from.
- All artefacts are trackable in some way: whether they arrived in the world world in the hands of the first who left the Halls, were gifted by the Gods to someone or were in Shiinden, they all have a fame and some kind of history. — Except from those from the bad Gods.
Everything points to the fact the pen itself might be a very new artefact and not an ancient one.

• The pen has very strong limitations.
- Artefacts usually are almost omnipotent for what concern their own power. They usually have no kind of limits, as long as one doesn't try to use them for a different purpose than that they were created for.
The pen is limited even in its own purpose.

It's as if the pen was an artefact specifically thought to be safe for children.

A night to forget.

He gets awakened in the middle of the night by a particularly bad nightmare, that is enough to panic him really bad. He even has sleep terrors sometimes, but he tends to be less noisy than average children with that kind of problem.

As he wakes up, he quickly reaches for his light and turns it on, but it doesn't help him to calm down.
He approaches the door, but it's closed — they couldn't leave it open, it's too cold and there would be the risk for some wild animals to sneak inside too. He can't reach the handle, but he is too panicked and feels the need to go out.
He has to climb on the furniture nearby, quite dangerously, and ends up falling and hitting his forehead, but manages to open the door. In the process, he also ends up peeing himself, which truly messes him up.

He runs outside, but finds all the other doors of the rooms shut. He can't climb anywhere to open them from the outside and eventually runs behind the dormitories building, reaching the water.
He sits down near the edge and curls up, also covering his face with arms while crying silently.

Home.

After they come back, he feels a little sad that ZhongLi had to leave again. But at least he has a new toy and he carries his wooden bird everywhere he goes, now.

Not feeling in the mood for much, also since it's late evening, he goes to sit on a couch with his toy bird on his lap, but doesn't do anything, just sits there.
