Name: John Collins

Gender: M

Age: mid 40s

Skills: Marksmanship, Tactics, Adaptability, Tracking Criminals

Role/Family: USMC (formerly) FBI

Rank: First Sergeant (formerly) Supervisory Special Agent

Personality: meticulous and thorough, an assertive leader who is nonetheless well liked by his subordinates.

Biography: Born in 1920s to a middle class family in San Francisco, California. Due to the stock market crash that results in what was called the Great Depression, young Collins experienced profound economic and social turmoil throughout his childhood.

As a teenager, Collins often got into trouble with the authorities, and he was arrested twice for criminal mischief by the age of 17. After being released from his second arrest with a warning, the news coverage of the Attack on Pearl Harbour arrived. Knowing America would definitely be joining the war, he decided to enlist for the Marine Corps at the end of December 1941.

He was posted to the 6th Marine, 2nd Marine Division and first saw action during the Guadalcanal Campaign in August 1942. Subsequently, he also took part in Battle of Tarawa, where he faced the Japanese defenders who were well-supplied and well-prepared, and they fought almost to the last man, exacting a heavy toll on the USMC before the island falls.

During the Battle of Saipan, while acting as a liaison to the US Army 105th Infantry Regiment, Collins survived the largest Banzai charge in history, tens of hours of intense and unrelenting hand to hand combat that took a toll of 2,000 on the US forces before the entire Japanese forces that took part in the attack was practically destroyed.

For the remainder of war in the Pacific, Collins was stationed in Saipan and fought the guerrilla war against the remnants of Japanese forces led by Captain Oba Sakae, until they finally surrendered in December 1945, three months after Japan herself officially surrendered. In his journey through the Pacific War, Collins gradually grew to respect his enemy as professional military men who fought for their countries. After the war concluded, Collins would return home to finish university.

Peace in Asia did not last long however, in 1950, reenlisted as a Gunnery Sergeant, Collins was posted to the 7th Marine 1st Marine Division to take part in the war broke out in Korea. Collins was in the amphibious forces that landed in Inchon during Operation Chromite, a decisive victory despite technical difficulties such as dangerous tidal range (one of the largest in the world) in the area of operation, leads to the collapse of North Korean Army and the UN forces able to recapture Hanseong (today Seoul) and push northwards all the way to the Yalu river.

This prompted the Chinese to intervene in Korean War, incompetence in intelligence made Gen MacArthur failed to realise when over 300 thousands Chinese troops crossed the border into Korea, the full brunt of the Chinese offensive results in a military disaster for the UN. In Chosin Reservoir, Collins along with the 1st Marine Division were encircled by over 150,000 Chinese troops, a brutal 17-day battle in freezing weather soon followed in which the UN forces were eventually able to break out of the encirclement and to make a fighting withdrawal to the port of Hungnam, inflicting heavy casualties on the Chinese. Collins carried one of his wounded comrade through miles of mountainous terrain under enemy fire until they got to safety, and for this he was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross and promoted to First Sergeant.

He took part in the Third and Fourth Battle of Seoul when the South Korean Capital switch hands multiple times between the UN and Chinese forces, he participated in the Battle of Triangle Hill before the Armistice was signed.

In 1965, the ever worsened situation of Vietcong insurgency finally urged the US to send ground troops into Vietnam, now 40 years old, Collins participated in the first wave of Marine troops to land on the soil of Vietnam in July, after various search and destroy operations, he was wounded in action in September 9 during Operation Piranha and sent home with an honorable discharge.

Unwilling to conform to civilian life, Collins managed to made an age waiver with a DD-214 and joined the FBI at the age of 41 (under normal circumstances FBI do not accept applicants above age of 37).

-Crappy Starter-

A foggy grey, cool, spring morning, around 10 am. New York city seemed almost grey on this day in the 1970s day, almost lifeless and boring, but it was actually the opposet you see. Just right around the corner Mikey Sivesto was sitting in the drivers seat of a 70s Lincoln, the car black and shiny from a fresh wax. Mikey was waiting on Vincenzo DeVito, a notorious mafia hitman, he was credited with killing the underboss of the Gagliono crime family. Also inside the building was Jimmy Paccitto, one of the top Caporegime's in the Salvati crime family. Mikey wasn't a made-man yet so he wasn't allowed to discuss business with the others. He mostly acted as a driver for the family, until he gets made. He has yet to meet the boss.
Soon Vince exits the building, covered in blood, what had happened?
"Open the trunk Mikey, quickly!" Vince said with a motion of his hand before walking back inside of the building.
Mikey quickly jumped out of the car to open the trunk, before quickly getting into the drivers seat and starting the machine.
Vince and Jimmy both come out of the building with a blood soaked rug, with what is believed a human corpse wrapped inside. Jimmy had the top part where the mans head would be, and Vince had the feet, they quickly stuff it into the trunk of the car before they have a chance to be seen.
Vince closes the trunk and gets into the back driver side of the car.
Jimmy, the capo gets in the front seat and lights a cigar.
"Lets go, and drive like you don't have a body in the trunk heh." Jimmy said as the car began to move down the narrow street.
They were probably heading to the pub that they meet and hang out at.

A routine day for an FBI agent begins early.

The Big Apple New York was swaddled in a veil of poltergeist-white mist this morning, rags of the grey mist grasped at the shops and balcony windows.

In the bathroom, the shower head shivers before spewed out a stream of cold water. Ken Akiyama shaved his face with the old-fashioned razor. From the half-open window, he can hear the sound of the city’s early morning, the roar of car engines, the bustle and footsteps of the working crowd rushing to the subway station, the conversation and laughter of the housewives when they gather to buy the first batch of groceries in the morning...various sound that are common in the city.

His attire was laid flat on the bed. The outfit had nothing that symbolizes power and authority an FBI agent entrusted with. White polo shirt paired with a grey sports jacket. Blue jeans and leather shoes. The idea is to look professional and represent the Bureau well, but not be so overdressed that it hinders the agents ability to interact with the public.

Akiyama looked at himself in the mirror, the FBI Senior Special Agent in the mirror glared back at him. Satisfied with his appearance, he inserted his standard issue sidearm into his concealed carry holster before leaving for work. Smith & Wesson .38 Caliber Model 10 revolver, the very same firearm he trained with in Quantico and issued to him when he graduated.

Through the mist he can see the ominous shadow of a pair of gigantic towers in distance. The World Trade Center twin towers, he witnessed the start of construction just few years ago, now they are completed but haven't open to public yet.

Perhaps next time he should visit the new buildings when he got a day off, it's said they're the tallest buildings in the world afterall, he thought to himself as he got to the driver seat of his 1970 Ford Mustang Mach 1.

His workplace is a surveillance van near where the mansion of Salvati is located, they're one of the powerful Mafia crime family in the city.

(Edit: finally found what the FBI standard firearm was in this period)

Antonio had accompanied the group on the job. As he did often. He had stayed out in the car. Didn’t want to many guys inside at once after all. As he sat quietly tapping his finger on his knee when he heard Vince tell Mikey to open the trunk. He got outside of the car to help and did so. Getting in the car, he sat silently.
“What da’ f*** guys! What happened in there?” He asked as he looked at them. Getting the car seats all bloody and sh*t.

Vito was going to go with Mikey, Vince, Jimmy and Antonio but he knew they didn’t need no help so he didn’t bother. Instead he was doing another small job. Collecting money from a hotel that they controlled. It was quick and easy.
Vito was a Ferrari collector so that’s what he usually drove. Unlike most of the other guys with their Lincolns and Cadillacs.
Walking outside he got into the Ferrari Dino and drove to the pub where he was going to give the money to the boss or the underboss.

Angelo and Alonzo sat together talking at a wooden table inside of the pub. It wasn’t very busy. Only a few table where occupied. They awaited the other 5 to get back.

"What do you think happened in there?" Vince said with a pause as he looked over to Antonio. What a dumb question. And it's not like the seats in the car are white...
"We had orders to talk to the man, he pulled a gun and Vince put a cap in his head, simple." Jimmy said as he looked back to the two in the back. "And you two cleaning the car." Jimmy turned and looked out the mirror of the car to make sure they weren't being followed, and they weren't.
Mikey was being to gag on the smoke from the cigars lit in the car, and cracks the window.
"Roll up that damn draft Mikey! Are you trying to kill me?" Jimmy said with and angry motion of his hand as Mikey rolled up the window, the pub was close as they drove down a larger road downtown before turning off onto a smaller one and up to the rather nice pub.

Jimmy got out of the black Lincoln and entered the pub where he made his way over to Angelo and Alonzo. He had a seat with them before taking a napkin and whipping the little blood off himself.
Vince followed Jimmy, "Boss" he said as he walked over to them. "The job was a success, he is dead." Vince said before going and cleaning himself up a bit, but still had blood on him. He took cleaning supplies out to the car where he began to cleaning the blood off the red leather seats.
Mikey got out of the car and sat on the hood, smoking a cigarette.

“Why do I have to clean the car? Your the ones that made the f***in’ mess!” Antonio said as he fixed his white shirt. He had taken off his light blue suit jacket before they left.
When they stopped the car, he got out and put his jacket on the hood. Why didn’t the recruit have to do it? He waited patiently, fiddling with his tie.
When Vince got back, he took a rag and some cleaner to help. He threw a rag at Mikey “Y’think your just gonna sit there and watch?” Antonio said and motioned to the car. He proceeded to help clean up the mess that was not his mess. A**holes.

When the guys got back, Angelo motioned for them to sit. He took a drink of wine as he listened to them. “Dead? You where supposed to do a shakedown not that.” Angelo said to Jimmy since Vince had hurried away.
Alonzo sat quietly not saying a word until he was spoken to.

Vito had parked his car across the street, he shut the engine off and took the keys. He locked the car, put the keys in his pocket. Vito had noticed Vince, Antonio and the recruit doing something. What was his name again? Naturally he had to investigate. He straightened his cloths (black dress shirt, tie, pants and a red jacket) and walked across the street.
“Ciao! What are you guys doing?” He asked as he approached.

"While I smoke this cigarette I am." Mikey said as he avoided being hit by a flying rag that Antonio threw at him. He had a seat on the car as he finished what was left of his cigarette and threw the bud down the storm pipe hole. Grabbing a bottle of cleaner he sprays the red leather seats, he began cleaning the headrests with a rag, occasionally spraying it with cleaner.

Vince started cleaning the front passenger seat where Jimmy rides, this seat wasn't too bloody since Vince was really the only one covered in blood. Once the seat is clean, it looked brand new. He moved on to the dash.

"He pulled a gun on me and Vince, it was our only choice. He had a crazy look in his eyes, he was going to shoot the both of us." Jimmy said as he looked at Angelo, he pulled a package of money from his jacket and places it on the wooden table.
