When the scream rang through the halls of the facility, the cyborg didn't stop; and neither did the duo following him, for quite obvious reasons.

His hight-frequency blade was stained with fresh blood, as the vast amounts of infected just kept running for the certain death. Technically impaling themselves on the weapon. But they never had a chance to know what they're facing.

Kilo led Soul and Clarissa through the facility, nearing the room with pressure-locked cells. Source of the loud shriek. The door leading inside was sealed tight. So instead, the cyborg merely peered inside - and despite the lack of light, his sensors picked up movement nonetheless.

Automated voice spoke up as he signalled Soul and Clarissa to halt.

- '' * * Hostile trace; Multiple contacts. * * ''

Hydraulics hissed. He lifted his hand up in the air, swinging it back and forth with calculated movement, barging an arm-sized hole through the bulletproof window on the door. He'd grasp the inside ledge of the now penetrated door, pulling with hard-to-imagine force.

The locks released, hydraulics hissed again and the cyborg basically ripped the door out of its frame, gaining absolute access into the room with pressure-locked cells.

He downed a simple glare at the ragged-up infected coat, swinging the high-frequency blade through thin air ahead as he scanned him.

- '' * * CRITICAL INCONGRUOUS THREAT IDENTIFIED. * * ''

He'd kicks his feet in motion, the heavy metal steps ringing throughout the room, completely silencing the ragged up breaths and sighs of the infected doctor ahead.

Infected's reaction-time was non-existent. As soon he was at compatible CQC distance, the cyborg swiftly shashed through the area ahead, running the blade vertically through the torso of the infected doctor, the weapon itself traced by the trail of blood, sparkles and burnt flesh.

The infected gargled up some blood, its torso splitting in two as it motionlessly collided with the steel floor below.

The Cyborg would swing the blade through empty air again, ridding it of the corrosive agents and blood, the smell of burnt flesh slowly spreading throughout the room. He'd divert the scanners at the cell, which he calculated was the source of screaming.

Automated voice spoke up.

- '' * * Compatibility registration; underway. Multiple contacts of sentient descent. Processing 76% of inevitable epidermal damage. Nano-catalyst viability assessment; complete. Facility subjects of unnamed species; further register updates required. * * ''

The Cyborg would slowly turn back to Soul, speaking up.

- '' * * Directive protocol will be required. * * ''

Kilo peered back at the duo in the cell ahead, lowering its gaze at them. Thin lens directed at both girls in the cell were bright enough to turn the entire room into swiveling pool of violet colour.

Faint clicking coming from behind the lifeless glare was more than enough of a confirmation that anything that has been scanned is thoroughly processed.

Automated monotone spoke up shortly after.

- '' * * Deep layer protocols engaging. Database located. Compatibility registration underway.

Seemingly, he spoke about Ophelia.

And soon enough, the voice spoke out again and the visor dimmed down.

He'd glare down at the duo, its body unmoving - clearly operating under command of Doctor Soul.

He soundlessly waited.

Clary closed her eyes and covered her ears. It had been so nice to be away from here. Away from the cries and screams of the other subjects who were still alive. Not to mention the scent of rotting flesh and spoiled food that hung thick in the air, almost enough to make her gag after the small taste of fresh air she'd had earlier. The electricity was still up since the facility was powered by solar energy so at the very least there was light. But still, this room, this place. . . It made her skin crawl and her stomach twist into knots. . . She hated it. Hated how everyone was suffering. Hated that she couldn't do a single thing about it.

So she just sat, eyes tightly shut and her hands over her ears, dark hair falling to hide her face though surely she looked as upset as she felt. She didn't want to be here anymore.

Clary jumped a bit not quite expecting the child to touch her. She hadn't even noticed the little girl until now. But she opened her eyes as Lucy put her head in her lap. Clarissa was hesitant to touch her. She wasn't acting like she was infected. . . She didn't want risk changing that. "I-I'm sorry " she murmured, "but you shouldn't touch me. You could get sick okay sweetie?" She murmured in a warm, gentle voice though she cringed as another desperate scream was heard from one of the test subjects locked up a few rows away from them. Clary smiled at the little girl and and covered her hand with the sleeve of the lab coat soul had put on her earlier. "We just be careful." She said softly.

The Cyborg would slowly turn its empty glare to Soul, its scanners lighting up significantly.

The mass of light gathered ahead of Soul, would result in a large; LCD-like hologram screen. As an answer to Soul's question, the automated voice would speak up.

- '' * * Command Prompt Interface; Enabled. Activate / Deactivate / Enable / Disable / Add / Remove prompt length active.

Awaiting response from directive personnel. * * ''

The Cyborg would appear completely obedient to Doctor Soul.

- '' * * EXITING STANDBY MODE. PADLOCKS UNLOCKED. THREAT IDENTIFIED. * * ''

The hologram screen disappear just as quick as it appeared; and the cyborg would kick its feet in motion - the visor lighting up in bright red.

The automated voice rang throughout the room as the heavy steel steps echoed.

- '' * * Nano-shell intrusion detected.

STAND BACK. * * ''

The Cyborg would swiftly attempt to reach down to grab Lucy by her hair, pulling her away from Clarissa, whom was only known to Kilo as Subject 0 0 1;.

And if there indeed was no-reaction time from the defected girl, he'd lift her up high in the air, glaring emptily without turning its gaze to Soul, speaking up once again.

The Cyborg would turn its head to the side slightly, completely oblivious to the utter attempts of the thirteen-year old Ophelia, to release Lucy from its grasp.

Briefly scanning the individual in the cell beside, the automated voice would speak up again.

- '' * * WARNING; MULTIPLE CRITICAL INCONGRUOUS THREATS IDENTIFIED. PRIMARY SYSTEM RE-ROUTE DIRECTIVE REQUIRED. * * ''

Its free hand would automatically move back, wrapping palm tightly around the hilt of the high-frequency blade, sheated on its back.

Hydraulics hissed as the automated voice spoke up again.

Clarissa sort of panicked when Lucy was pulled away from her. She stood up quickly, nearly falling as she did so and frantically repeated what soul had said earlier when the thing had tried to attack her as well.

"Um. . . 'Force primary directive Alex 1 1.'' she sputtered, having no clue what it meant or what it would do. She just hoped it would help and make the robot thing stop.

Stopping in motion entirely, the Cyborg would lock its empty glare ahead. The faint clicking of hardware coming from behind the lifeless visor was audible, as the room went silent.

This meant, that something was most definitely happening.

...

The grip on Lucy's hair would become loose. And as the Cyborg held her up high at its eye-level, she'd drop down good meter or so on dead weight, colliding with the steel floor.

The simple reaction to Clarissa's command was Cyborgs automated voice.

- '' * * Subject; 0 0 1 identified. Enabling combat restrictions.

...

Primary systems, re-routed. Unit EC;MK-01 of Endocorp's Cyber Initiative; ACTIVE. Direct input not required. Entering stand-by mode until further directive.* * ''

The hydraulics in its frame would hiss once again, its arms locking loosely by its sides, the visor dimming down.

...

Dead silence.

As soon as Lucy was on the ground Clarissa fell to her knees and drew the smaller girl into her lap, running a hand through her hair as she held Lucy protectively, "are you alright?" She asked, still a bit frantic and shaken by what had just happened.
