He is very intrigued by the place. In a way, it reminds him of a past Liyue and he feels somehow at home. He really wants to find WooPil and the worry never leaves him, but except from asking around and continuing to wander, there is nothing else he can do for now.
He warns the others he will go on his own for some time, also to try clearing his mind a little.
He ends up in the Exalted Sanctum where he takes a walk and looks for possible clues. He actually finds some and soon enough, he is pointed to General Jing Yuan's residence. He heads there, but has little hopes he will be allowed in. He explains the guards outside his situation and asks if WooPil was taken there, but they stay vague, since they don't know Zhongli's real intentions. He maintains a very respectful attitude while talking to them.

«Oh, a lucky coincidence then. It could have been dangerous for the kids, if they had not met you, though.» He assumes, he doesn't know anything about Teyvat and how safe it is.
«Maybe I am not cut to have a family. Who knows, I don't intend to give myself limitations on that sense.» He only wants to fuck, like every old man.
They aren't playing briscola yet.
He moves his gaze on WooPil, watching him while he eats. «What's wrong, little one?»
WooPil. «Nothing…»

He picks WooPil up and places him to sit on his lap.
«I think I know some way to make yourself of use, as you wanted, ZhongLi.»
"Chan is very capable, but still not an adult. He is a very reckless child.
I think I understand what do you mean. It is what I have been doing myself." Old polite men are the worst instill.
"Nothing...we are not so easy to trick, little one. What is troubling you?" He looks at WooPil.

As the chips are served, he places the dish right under WooPil's face. «These go well with fried eggs, don't they?» He'll get the whole pantry cooked, on this pace.
"I would feel bad for the mara struck if they came across him in this mood. He is not the same age as WooPil, he is older." He trusts Chan and in the worst case, he knows he can't die.
"If chips can't fix, what could? Maybe seeing Chan, but that's going to happen soon, don't worry WooPil. I can call him from anywhere." Or even quickly send a message so others won't continue to worry, but he already forgot how to use his phone.
"They also go well with sausages and some spicy sauce. We are not afraid of real spicy."
