Clarissa shook her head, she timidly said he shouldn't touch her but that she meant him no harm. Before she had a chance to get up synn had pounced on the human in front of her and was growling threateningly.
Synn had heard her mother scream gone running. She knocked the male over, sinking her claws into his chest as she held him below the water, both because she was hungry and because she assumed that he had hurt her mother.

Synn pushed against soul whimpering and growling as she desperately tried to get back inside and get her mother, "they hurt her!" She hissed, "in the water. She screamed!" Synn stopped struggling, and rested her head against soul's chest as he held her. "Dad. . ." she whimpered. Blood drentched her shoulder and her side where Elliot had managed to grab her.
Clarissa got to her feet and rushed to soul amd synn, "synn. . . I'm here. I'm here." She said and brushed back the young demon's white hair trying to comfort her daughter as best she could.

Clary had a slightly hard time holding synn and a harder time when she ended up with Noah instead. She ended up kneeling with him trying to calm him doen as he cried and clung to her. Clary nodded to soul and held naoh a bit away from her so she could see his face, "I need your sister alright? You rest, and let synn back for me."
Noah didnt protest. His hair faded to white and synn was blinking up at clarissa asling her mother if she was alright. As soul came closer carrying the human, elliot came closer as well. As a result synn became very protective of clarissa her tail lashing behind her, she snarled at the demon, her pupils turned to slits as she entered a feral state of mind. Her own sort of demon form.
Clarissa held synn scolding her and telling her to calm down. But the young demon was frightened and hurt and she didn't listen to clary at all.

Synn growled at the demon and for a while she struggled to go after them shouting that she had to get to soul and had to get rid of the other demon. It was first time she had met another demon aside from soul. And she didn't like it being near her family. Not at all.
Clarissa held synn until trying to calm her and tell everything would be fine. She took synn up a floor, the building seemed stable enough so she though it would be best to get out of the water. Clary really didn't like that their family was split up again but she knew she had to focus on her children. They were hurt and upset and needed her.
Synn ended up laying against her mother starting to fall asleep. But at every sound she would jump and growl at the door waiting for something or someone to come in.

Synn blinked sleepily. They could smell the demon and got up quickly in case it came in the room. Synn let out a pittiful cry at the sudden movement and fell to the floor, curled up on her side holding her shoulder.
Noah gasped, tears running down his cheeks as the pain ate at him. Wynn always did better with pain than he did, but he always tried to keep her away when they were hurt. She became feral. And he didnt like it. It felt wrong when she got like that.
Clary knelt with them, promising that they would be alright. She just hoped that soul wouldnt be long. . .

Noah winced, their form flickering between his and his sister as she begged to be let free. "Get away from us." Their voices echoed one another as the twins strained against eachother. This happened whenever they fought or got too emotional. Noah was typically the first to give in but now he refused. He didn't want synn to get into another fight. He didn't want to die because she cant keep her claws clean.
Clarissa cupped their face in her hands and pressed her forhead to the it's, "shhhhh, hush now, you'll be fine." She soothed amd when they didn't respond clary started humming a lullaby. A tune soul had taught her. Whenever the twins got fussy or upset it was hard to get through to them but for some reason when they would hear this song they always calmed down.

Clarissa looked at Elliot and moved to be between him and Noah, "honestly how can you lay there and threaten children?" She was quite clearly distressed by his threat and worried that he would act on it.
Noah flinched and scrabbled further away from Elliot his eyes wide as he tried to get away and ended up with his back against the wall, panting hard as he watched Elliot.
