I'll be B, you be A. I'll use my oc, his blog is called "The Moon."

Character A is a marine biologist.
He lives near a salt water lake connected to the ocean and it's pretty normal for him and his team to take in and rescue seals and other animals when they get sick or hurt.
They know about the mermaid population, but they usually stay away from them because they're very aggressive towards humans.
Character B, a merman, proves this to be true. He gets into a fight with some fishermen and ends up being injured due to being outnumbered.
They take him to A for treatment. Mermaids aren't usually captured this easily so this is kind of a big deal.


So basically this will mostly center around A trying to gain trust from B. He will be scared at first, of course. Angry eel merman. But if you can deal with that, hmu!

Okay actually I have another plot idea with the same character. So let me know if you wanna do either of these plots.

("You're a peach!")
Character A likes going for walks. He also likes peaches. He goes for walks in the woods and eats peaches, and he finds out there's a cave in the woods near the lake, so he dumps the peach pits and leaves. This becomes a routine for him and he does it over and over. What he doesn't know is that character B, a merman, lives in that cave. Mermaids usually bring each other small gifts to propose to each other, usually rocks or gemstones. B hasn't seen peaches before (they don't grow around that area) so he assumes things are are rare. So basically from his perspective, he thinks that A is aggressively attempting to be his mate.
One day A goes for his usual walk, but this time B comes out to confront him about all of this and respond to his (accidental) proposal.

Plot:
Character A and character B are already bestfriends but lately they've been spending less time together as A is spending more time with his girlfriend. She starts to become more and more jealous and possessive, telling him not to be around B.
B can see that A is unhappy in the relationship. A starts to develop a crush on B.


So yeah that's it. Basically A will go behind his girlfriend's back to be around B and eventually leave her for him. Or maybe even cheat on her if you wanna go that route.
Get him outta that toxic relationship.
Bonus points if A previously identified as straight but discovers he isn't as straight as he thought. I love a bi/gay awakening.

(Prince x mermaid)
Character A is a prince, ridiculously spoiled rich. His castle is huge, to the point where just walking through it once would be exhausting.
He's not allowed to leave his castle very often so he starts to complain to his servants (and anyone who will listen really) that he wants to see the ocean. He's never seen it in person and he's pissed about it.
One day he discovers that his complaints have been heard and listened to, just not in the way he wanted. Instead of taking him to the ocean, his servants tried to bring the ocean to him. They've made a room dedicated to being an aquarium room and filled with it the most beautiful and rare creatures they could find.
None of it really captures A's interest… until he sees B. B is a mermaid. Or rather merman. He's never been so close to humans before and he's obviously terrified since he's basically been captured and put in a strange environment.
A kind of feels trapped too. But when he sees B, he's immediately infatuated.
