Truth and new life.
Myles chewed on her lip. She stared at the book of life, the book that had the names of every living person and their parents. Many guardians refer this as the book of blood as well. But now she knows the book could be meddled with, she understands that it is for protection but it causes problems. Next to Taylor's name is Maria and Kornhe with a question mark next to it and she hated it. She would have to bring it up to Kasen later and why it was causing her problems.
Myles met with Kasen to investigate all the Guardians' homes. Hearing the complaints of each one as they walked to the others made her smile a little. Her own home Sanctuary didn't even escape, she had too many rooms and candles and she had to gently remind him she didn't believe in electricity and her home was meant to house the guardians and all their charges if needed. He went very quiet after that reminder. Each visit was pretty much the same, until they made it to Roseline.
Myles blamed herself, Ryder only went on and on about sweets when he was nervous, that should have been her first clue. When Kasen started talking about Taylor being his son, she wanted to be mad at him, but she couldn't. She was mad that the situation, that all this could have been avoided if she addressed her concerns sooner, or maybe denied Rain access to the book to find out who she was. It was uncalled for that she took out her frustrations on her friend and leader but it was a frustrating situation all around.
Myles watched as Taylor held Rain's hand telling her how well she was doing and how much he loved her. Myles prepaired the water and towels to clean the baby with as Alice and Rose worked together to deliver the baby. Myles knew that both children were mad at their father but the bond the two had was almost instantanious. Taylor was always protective of Alice to the point where several thought he was in love with her, until Rain came into the picture, he was more infatuated. But now it made sense, it was always her understanding that siblings even if they did not grow up together would always know and protect each other.
Myles looked out of the room and saw Kasen keeping back but watching. As much as he felt the need to leave the urge to stay was strong was well, she could see it warring with him. She shook her head and went back to the task at hand knowing that she would have to tallk to him later.

Rose walked over and glared at Taylor seeing his surprise. "I agree with Kasen, Taylor. If it wasn't for the fact that I had Alice I would have done the same to Melody, I was planning on it if Myles didn't convince me to be Alice's Guardian. I'm sorry but you don't know what is going on, yes Kasen should have come forward but I can understand why he didn't, you have to understand these kinds of decisions are not easy, and sometimes they come back to bite you but in the long run good or bad they are made with the best child's interest at heart. With a few exceptions. If I was in Kasen's shoes I would do the same thing again, especially if you being Kornhe's son I "protected" you from his assassins. Do you know how many times he sent them to people who were close to either us or Alice, the fact that it is not well know that Kasen is Alice's father is protecting him. Letting the rumor, the lie that you are Kornhe's second son, it protected you better than any sheild or armor."
