He heard of the event and wants to partecipate. He intends to win the final prize, since he is still struggling with money. After people destroyed his apartment because of Bao, he had no choice but return home to his ex wife and it was not a pleasant time so far.

In a way, he wants his revenge on Haitien, but on the other hand, he finds Bao very cute. Overall, though, he is unconfident to start a new relationship after others cheated on him.
He stands by the window of the corridor, looking at the endless horizon of stars. It is always breathtaking, peaceful but also scary.

He takes his time in the bathroom the evening before, Leaf could have as well gone to sleep already by the time he returns. He is willing to share the only bed of course.
The morning after, he wakes up pretty early and starts to prepare his baggage to leave the room. He hopes they will find a place quickly enough, so that he won't have to pay for more inns.
After a bit, he pokes Leaf to wake him up too. He is very curious about his...hat and while he sleeps, he aims to see under it.

After accompanying HaoLin back, he wanders the city. He is already ready to return to his home, but he haa no hurry; at the moment, the environment is not the most pleasant there.
He is thinking about HaoLin a lot, finding him pleasant to be with. Both as revenge on Haitien and a help to HaoLin, since he is convinced the other will break his heart, he'd like to approach him and become something more.
For now, though, he is more up for some fun. He doesn't frequent Guiji so often, so he is looking around on one of the most popular streets.

He has his own work to do, but Red Dawn summoned him in Guiji, he really couldn't miss. He reaches the palace the morning after and joins Jiwon in the eastern quarters with the students. For most of them, he is definitely not a new face, but he maintains a serious attitude during their training and in presence of Red Dawn.
For the first day, he takes a look at what they are capable of, which is really not much for Kaeya and Wooji. He lets them do some basic training, like running and stretching, and showing them a few simple moves he asks them all to repeat.
As the lessons end, Red Dawn leaves and lets them interact freely with each other. Without her around, Jingyuan is a bit more chill. "Let's wash and get changed, then let's have a meal together, shall we?" He is the opposite of Haitien in many ways.
