As it always happens, it is simply impossible to keep the thing hidden, the rumor started to spread from the harem and it certainly didn't stop there. All the EGs know, the Northern Doctors, the Generals, Lan, Peng, Ethan and so on.
Among the various people who know about it, there is Xiao's father. And he is one of those who are really thrilled about the idea of having a potential grandson on the throne of the East.

As everything gets planned in the detail, they finally set the perfect day for the attack at the Imperial Palace. It's no ordinary day, as there will be a massive battle between North and East in that morning, led by Generals Wei and Fu.
Sao doesn't send his men to the Palace. He, along with his most trusted IAs (Siwang, KM, Hun Zin and Zhan) will take care of the 4 Generals, as it is essential to put them down and to keep them away from the Palace at the moment of the attack.
For obvious reasons, Sao will go to get Liao and Siwang will go for Xen. The other 3 will go to the battlefield and try to kill the remaining Generals before the battle start, so that it won't happen at all.
Meanwhile, Choi and Yoon are ready to lead their men to siege the Imperial Palace. They just wait for Peng to teleport them in from the special spot she managed to find, inside the Yeting, where women are sent to do laudry as punishment.
That's something hugely unexpected and nobody suspected anything until the massive group of armed people storms out of the Yeting and starts to slaughter every Elite Soldier standing on their way. The fact the Generals aren't showing up makes the ESs pretty disoriented, which adds to their shock for the sudden attack.
Peng fights side by side with Choi and the other men and the little army soon makes its way to the doors of the Emperor's Quarters.
Siwang heads to his father's residence and manages to sneak inside unseen with the help of servants, who have always been on his side, as he was always on theirs. When he reaches the house, Xen is taking a bath.
The General doesn't look too surprised to see his son alive and starts to do his usual talking to how disappointing he is, like every a**hole man would do when about to get killed. Siwang reminds him that General title is inherited and impales him into the bathtub.
Sao, followed by Magnus (who acts like his mini pet all the time), heads to take his father. Unlike Siwang, he doesn't just kill him fast, he takes him away to his little secret dungeon and chains him in there, after cutting off his hands and feet. (Making sure he won't die out of bleeding either, he won't pass away that easily, Sao wants his revenge and it will last a few months.)
KM, Zhan and HZ head to the battlefield as planned and manage to kill the two Generals without too many troubles. Done that, they gather the heads (the Generals were standing on a hill, at some distance from the army and the battlefield) and go in the space between the two armies. They show the heads to both Morgan, his officers and army and the Eastern one as well. The death of the Generals is considered defeat for the Eastern without needing to go further into the fight.
The Eastern soldiers, thinking they will end up prisoners of the Northern, start to kill themselves in masses. Yichuan though, who was there in his role of Captain, makes a long speech and stops the mass-suicide.
At the Imperial Palace, the battle goes on pretty brutal. While a group of men, led by Peng, break into the Emperor's Quarters, Choi and the Brothel Sons head to cleanse the harem from guards and to gather all the women of the place, to keep them out of harm.
Peng by now realized that Wung is nothing but a victim of the Generals and that was why she tried to get to him first. Problem is, inside the quarters there is no Emperor.
Wung is caught by Choi and his men, as he was running towards the harem to attempt to help the women to run away from the attack, as a last attempt of honour.
Choi, who doesn't want to listen to reason about his grandfather, orders his men to throw him to the crowd of citizen and leave him to their (unexisting) mercy. Wung looks utterly surprised to see Choi alive, he tries to offer the throne to him, but the grandson doesn't revoke the order and the ex Emperor doesn't even try to beg. Choi can't help it, he is totally sure that Wung was behind the massacre of his whole family.
After realizing what Choi condemned Wung to, Peng rushes into the crowd and she really has to fight her way to reach the poor man. He is weak and totally useless, it didn't take much to people to massacre him and cause him to pass out. She manages to reach him, but the crowd doesn't appreciate the fact and think that it is just an attempt of the Empress to protect Wung, despite his crimes. They aim to attack even her, in the frenzy of the moment, though, before they could even touch her, Sao and his IAs arrive there and the people get lost, rushing away in total terror.
The IAs take Wung into custody and bring him to the dungeons of the Imperial Prison. Since he didn't die, he will have to be questioned about all the crimes and atrocities he committed in a very formal and official situation.
The questioning doesn't happen with tortures, as Wung openly shows himself to be willing to give any answer they will want. He is chained to the wall and they place a truth amulet around his neck, which makes it impossible for him to lie.
Sao, in the presence of Edward, General William (Riddle) Siwang, KM, Hun Zin, Peng and Yichuan.
They gathered all of the thousands over thousands of parchments, that are the documentations of all the orders he gave during his time on the throne. Sao takes each one and questions Wung if he was the one to order that. In every case, he answers no and the fact the amulet doesn't give any effect, shows he says the truth. Problem is: every parchment bears his signature, which is nothing ordinary that could be faked. Eastern Emperors use Suyoul Ideographs which are blood-bound and unique to the person. Nobody except the one they were created for, is able to write them the same way. It proves that Wung had to sign each order by himself.
When asked if his signature could have been faked, Wung answers yes, in a desperate attempt to save himself, but the amulet acrivates immediately, giving horrible pain all over his body for having lied. The effect of the amulet to lies is just like a torture that cause him to bleed from nose, mouth and eyes.
After quite a long time of interrogations, they decide to take a break to leave some time for Wung to rest and recover from the amulet effect.
#Starter1. For the break, Edward and Sao head to the North. They go to the Club to have dinner before going back to Shiirhuang to continue with the questioning. They take a seat. Sao is strangely thoughtful, Edward is always the exact same.

As soon as Edward and William leave, he approaches the ex Emperor and snaps his fingers, using his magic to heal him a little.

The place itself is even colder than North, as it is northern compared to the continent, and everything has been carefully prepared for the occasion.
The four powerful women leading for their countries are given whole rich palaces of their own where to stay during those days, big enough to fit also the personnel and the participants.
As first thing, while the girls take their rooms, the 4 leaders are meant to meet in a very formal way.
Meredith, with her Princesses behind, is wearing a very rich dress in Northern style, but full black. She will keep dressing as a widow till her own death, but that doesn't prevent her from behind extremely elegant.
Since the 4 palaces where they are meant to stay are all close to each other, there is a garden and a square-like place in the middle and she heads stright there for the meeting.

4 Nations Graces.
Every 2 years, a particular event takes place: the 4 Nations Graces.
The initiative has, as formal purpose, to prove which country of Nortrig has the "best women", in a way. It is mainly a cultural manifestation meant to promote equality between genders, proving that women can be just as good and even better of most men.
The competition includes different disciplines and talents:
> Strength:
- Best Battlefield Team;
- Best Swordmaster;
- Best Enchantress;
- Best Martial Artist.
> Arts:
- Best Painter;
- Best Minstrel;
- Best Writer;
- Best Sculptor.
> Intelligence:
- Chess Master;
- Best Mathematical Mind;
- Best Strategist;
- Wisest Mind.
> Virtues:
- Master Acrobat;
- Master of Martial Arts;
- Champion Dancer;
- Graceful Charmer.
There is no real prize for the winning country, other than the prestige. And in truth, it is a very wanted reward that makes all the nations very competitive.
As it is an event for women, it is not left in the hands of Kings and Emperor, but of Queens and other high ranked women chosen by their rulers. (Like for the North, (That is left without a Queen.)
(Nothing prevents men from assisting as audience to the competition, even though they can not participate to the various challenges nor actually test the participants themselves.)

Jack, among many others, was forced to go, mainly thanks to the fact he is both a Doctor and an EG. He is not happy about it, since it ruins all his plans in many ways and forces him to do something he hates.
He and Yang are sat by the counter of Amiir's shop, sipping hot chocolate while the poor uncles complains about the matter. «I can not believe that of all people, I had to be chosen to go there. And you know how many people, from all the military organizations of the North are going? 355. Sentries, EGs, IGs and even some Hunters.»
