(Backstory)

When Elene was an infant, she was left for dead by her birth parents in the dumpster of a robotics research center. That night, Edgar Richardson, lead developer and engineer for the robotics center, found her small lifeless body inside the dumpster. Believing he could bring her back to life, he took her corpse and began implating highly advanced cybernetic technology into her body. Her tiny corpse sprung back to life after most of her organs were exchanged for silicone and metal replacements. It was a miracle of human engineering. The center deemed Edgar's achievement heroic and promoted him to Vice President of the research facility. They saw Elene as another project they would experiment on.

This miracle of human technology only boosted Edgar's ego. He felt like a god. What else could he do? He decided to keep Elene and raise her as his own. As Elene grew, Edgar implanted her with more and more robotic parts. Soon, even parts of her brain were held together by wires and robotic silicone. Each new implant involved a series of torturous procedures involving electric shocks and painful testing.

Eventually, after most of her body was artificial, they implanted the kill switch. It's a tiny microchip that can be remotely activated by Edgar or anyone who knows how. When active, the kill switch turns off most of her emotions and replaces them with an intense desire to kill whoever she's told to.

Now, she lives a relatively normal life. She lives in a secluded house with her father and can roam the town as she pleases.

(Backstory)

Zurak was the son of a wealthy Lord in Fellnor. Growing up, he got whatever he wanted and received attention and praise from his friends and family. He was egotistical and arrogant due to how spoiled he was. However, while he and a few close friends were exploring the dark forest on the outskirts of town, everything changed. They had cornered a dog up against a large rock, kicking and throwing knives at it. Then a dark mist surrounded them, and a large figure emerged. It was a bog witch who owned the dog they were torturing. Zurak's friends made a run for it, leaving him behind to face the witch. She saw how egotistical and arrogant he was and put a deadly curse on him. Whoever looked at his face would rot from the inside out, leaving only a rotted mound of bones and melting flesh.

But he didn't feel any different after the curse was placed on him. So, he walked home, disoriented and confused. The first person he saw was a child not much older than he was then. He watched the girl scream and cry, her skin slowly rotting away. After this happened a few more times, he ran home, unknowingly killing nearly all the city's people. He only realized it was his face until his parents, siblings, and friends died. He thought some kind of monster had been chasing him, but after everyone was dead, only he remained. He quickly put a sheer cloth bag over his face and ran.

After authorities found the massacred city and him missing, they assumed he had murdered everyone in cold blood. He was exiled from the elven kingdom and wanted posters with portraits of his face plastered throughout the other kingdoms.
