        DREAMS AND
        M A D N E S S
        an ancient tale

        Hello everyone!
Here are some important rules that I will follow when roleplaying with you:

i. I am a busy person: I love writing, and I love long and complex roleplays: this will take time, so do not expect me to respond all the time. I want quality in my writing, so I will be slow.

ii. I am not a native English speaker: I am sure my writing will contain mistakes or unfamiliar grammatical constructions. I can assure you that everything will be understandable, but my answers may not be perfect.

iii. I will remove anyone who dares to bother me. I am slow, I am not a native English speaker, and I like complex rps: if I get distracted for a while, mindlessly scrolling through the site or doing my research on the internet, do NOT complain to me. I will bite. I need time. I will respond to everyone eventually. I created this profile to write, but also to have fun.

iv. You are free to interact with my character without first plotting with me. I can assure you that Elliot will have an interesting discussion with your character.

v. I like thriller, psychological or intellectual roleplays: I do not really like battles and my character is not very suitable for sci-fi plots. Please, consider this, before proposing ideas. I have not lots of triggers, but SA is a big nope for me, so, please, do not suggest it.

vi. I will not tolerate any sexism, homophobia, transphobia or racism from any roleplayer. I will block and remove you INSTANTLY.

vii. I am not selective with friend requests, so I will accept everyone, even if I won't roleplay with you all. I will NOT roleplay with furries, but I am okay with character who have an anime faceclaim as long as I can imagine them as real life people!

viii. I am not always interested in a rp, when I add someone. I just think a profile is neat or I would like to read more about your characters, so do not feel offended, if I do not message first. I will not bother you. I just enjoy pretty graphics and interesting stories.

        DREAMS AND
        M A D N E S S
        an ancient tale

        Hello everyone!

This is the mun speaking! You call me G. (she/her): I am a 24-year-old roleplayer, I study Classics, and I live in Italy (CET time)! In this blog post I will write what you need to know, before roleplaying with me!

        Trigger warnings

Elliot Hampton is an original character inspired by the Dark Academia literary genre and ancient culture (classical literature): this means that this profile will contain sensitive topics. I will list some of them here, but this list is not complete. I will always write the trigger warnings above my blog posts and monologues.

    1. npd: elliot suffers from npd, even if he is not aware of it: this means that he will exhibit narcissistic traits such as manipulation and lack of empathy;
    2. violence: Elliot is attracted to violence as a concept, so my character's discussions will often revolve around its literary, philosophical and moral implications;
    3. death: elliot is not only the secret murderer of his parents, but he is also fascinated by death as a subject of philosophical speculation;
    4. murder;
    5. sacrifice: elliot is a neo-hellenic pagan, but he follows the ancient rules of ancient greek religion, so I could mention some sacrifices in his roles.

     ✦ His story

In the intricate tapestry of Elliot Hampton's life, the pivotal moment occurred at the tender age of seventeen. The ghostly figure of Ennius, the famed father of Latin literature, materialized in a dream, revealing the secrets of metempsychosis and, ultimately, the astonishing revelation that Ennius had reincarnated within Elliot himself.

Before this revelation, Elliot, a count's heir, had immersed himself in the allure of classical culture. A turbulent childhood, sequestered within the ancient walls of an isolated mansion, found solace only in the antiquity and fantasy of the past. Homer's verses, the sweetness of Alcaeus' words, and the sublimity of tragedies became his refuge, pacifying the fires of his anger.

Known for his rebellious streak, Elliot was an enigma, unpredictable and wild. His disdain for the present manifested in outbreaks of anger and defiance against authority, also due to behavioural issues related to his npd (and aspd).The young boy, driven by ambition, reveled in the timeless allure of ancient civilizations, craving a connection to an era that seemed to offer a sanctuary for his restless soul.

During his teenage years, he was educated at an all-boys' college. He was known for his ill-temperament: Elliot was a formidable force, often appearing supercilious and unapproachable. William, the unsuspecting roommate who saw beyond the veneer of scholarly detachment, admired Elliot's brilliance with wide-eyed wonder. Their relationship, born out of admiration but tinged with deeper emotions, spiraled into a clandestine affair—a tale of exploration and betrayal. Their secret relationship, born more out of curiosity than genuine emotion, unraveled as Elliot sought other experiences.

The revelation from Ennius altered Elliot's heart, rendering him complete. His connection to the ancient world, previously an imagined bond, now stood vivid and undeniable. William, unable to accept this truth, became a casualty of Elliot's evolving identity. Their tumultuous relationship culminated in a scandal, with William's vendetta resulting in a scandalous accusation and Elliot's exile.

Forced to leave Great Britain to avoid the scandal, Elliot found an unexpected beginning at Bennington, at Bennington's University. Encircled by stimulating minds and trustworthy companions Elliot's life took a pivotal turn. The transition marked the commencement of a new, brilliant existence. Soon, he delved into the pagan rituals of a cult dedicated to Demeter, a divine experience that unveiled visions of the future.

The inaugural incubatio, a rite that seized Elliot's devotion, forecasted a tragedy— the demise of a young student, who would plummet from a precipice. This revelation, witnessed through dreams, galvanized Elliot's belief in his divine selection. Drunk on the elixir of his newfound power, his arrogance burgeoned, and he aspired to revive an ancient cult, reserved exclusively for the chosen few.

Yet, what seemed a sanctuary quickly transformed into a web of power and influence. As the gravity of his role as a hierophant deepened, a darker passion emerged within Elliot—an insidious penchant for sadism and sacrifices. The flow of blood, the agony of victims, and the satisfaction derived from their fear became not just acts of faith but also displays of cunning, cruelty, and sadistic pleasure. Elliot reveled in liberating the monster that had long lurked within him, unleashing a side that relished in violence and cruelty since his early days of childhood.

The end of his university years forced Elliot to confront his past and return to Britain to claim his inheritance. Relations with his parents, strained since William's scandal during his adolescence, worsened due to Elliot's exorbitant lifestyle expenses. The Earl and Countess of Musselburgh, displeased with their son's choices, sought his return to the family fold, leading to financial constraints imposed on Elliot. Unwilling to surrender, Elliot devised a plan to eliminate his parents. In a calculated move, he orchestrated their deaths, inheriting the noble title and vast wealth, achieving the freedom he coveted.

The demise of his parents allowed Elliot to reenter English high society, forging beneficial alliances with influential figures aligned with his cause. His charisma, astuteness, and ability to enchant and seduce others swiftly garnered the respect of his peers. Leveraging loans and favors, Elliot established himself as a formidable force, holding the destinies of those in need firmly within his grasp.

Elliot is now a prominent researcher at Cambridge University. His enduring love for antiquity and lively intellect have found a fertile ground in philology and ancient philosophy, allowing him to cultivate revolutionary theories, ideas, and hypotheses. Elliot's daring and occasionally audacious perspectives quickly brought him into the limelight, catching the attention of the most celebrated professors of his time. His scholarly prowess and revolutionary ideas positioned him as a rising star in the realms of philology and ancient philosophy.
