original samples.

Contrary to her insistence that she was far from a junkie, Gabrielle was clearly restless without her usual fix. Bouncing on her heels, lightly swaying, the fact that she was still tapping on Fyfe's door despite having already knocked less than a minute ago... It was undeniable at this point, but that wouldn't stop her from doing exactly that.

-

She had been leaning sluggishly against the door, forehead resting there as if she were about to nod off any second as the drumming slowed. When the door suddenly opened, she caught herself just before she could fall forward, then slipped inside nonchalantly, hoping it had gone unnoticed.
The back of her foot shut the door behind her, and she shoved her hands in her pockets, shrugging. "Been craving some Irish hospitality." That one particular sofa chair she always gravitated to for whatever reason was flopped into with a sigh. She knew it was late, but the girls were going out tomorrow, and she had just remembered whose turn it was to buy. "But seriously, I'm going to Narakas on Friday, so...you know, I need the usual."
Narakas, with its nonspecific Asiatic design, was a nightclub comprising of several floors meant to depict different levels of Buddhist hell, ranging from aggressively neon to darkly sultry. It had become a hot spot not long after opening just the year before, so it was the go-to for trendy socialites and was ironically just edgy enough to make them feel unique.

-

Gabrielle sunk in her chair for a moment, unable to think up a snappy response as it was an entirely accurate statement. It never took much to pitch her a new treat, and she'd buy him out if he'd let her. Despite his teasing, though, her mood visibly heightened at the sight of the smorgasbord he'd laid out, but she tried not to stray from the original plan.

-

"You know the usual. Nose powder and any downers you've got." A typical night out with friends would usually involve copious amounts of time stuffed in a handicap stall doing line after line until around three to four in the morning. Then maybe a valium or morphine in the Uber to get her to bed. Rinse and repeat.

-

Twenty minutes after he'd arrived home, there was finally a brisk knock at his door. On the other side was Gabrielle, still in the same Nirvana t-shirt having only bothered to slap on a new pair of pants for this visit, forgoing any primping.

-

"Are you even your mother's favorite?" She glared at him, holding the expression as she walked to her preferred chair.

-

It took a moment for Gabrielle to break her act, having assumed he was giving her the silent treatment just to irritate her further. When she looked over at him and noticed the stark change in his demeanor, her arms uncrossed, and she leaned forward. "Fyfe." After a few seconds, she finally seemed to catch on to what might have happened. "Sh*t..." she combed a hand through her hair, sliding the beanie off her head. "Um...Sorry."

-

"Sh*t," she could only repeat the same word once again after hearing the reason for his reaction. As if afraid to make any sudden movements around him, she slowly picked up the bag and pocketed them. It wasn't that she was actually scared of him; the awkwardness of the situation was just so palpable. And that feeling of guilt creeping up after she'd managed to evade it for awhile.

She took a couple of steps forward, leaving the money on the table in front of him with an extra hundred added. Money in place of some actual emotional support was all too common for her. "Sooo...Yeah, thanks. Bye."

verses.

(No prior knowledge of any fandoms mentioned is required to roleplay with any version of Gabrielle in them.)

━Mr. Robot━
The main/general verse that the character originated from. Gabrielle's father is the CEO of a luxury car company (name undecided for now), and her mother the daughter of a prolific French director. Despite her wealth, she does little to take advantage of the opportunities it affords her, spending the majority of her time partying. This doesn't seem to fulfill her at all, and she's often depressed and listless.

━Straight Edge AU━

Gabrielle's pushing 30 and she's finally sobered up after regularly attending meetings for a twelve-step program. Having spent the majority of her life doing nothing but indulging in excessive drugs, drinking, and casual s*x, her life has become even duller than before.

━The Sauce AU━
Heavily based on 'soy sauce' from John Dies At The End. A strange new drug has hit the market, but despite its mixed reception, of course, our favorite drug fiend just had to try it.
Depending on the amount taken, effects range from out-of-body experiences, multidimensional stimuli, and sometimes even mild reality warping. Overdoses can cause either death or travel through time and multiverse. (Basically, a thinly veiled excuse for exploring crazy multiverse and crossover opportunities).

mr robot samples.

{ For context, this is all from an old Mr. Robot based scene. }

It was another chilly night that left Gabrielle hunched beneath her coat, trying to keep warm as her friends pranced ahead, keeping her out as late as possible while they debated where to eat. She wanted nothing more than to skip to the nightcap, to somewhere out of this cold. Unfortunately, her suggestion was outvoted, as they all had new places they wanted to try out tonight.

"I haven't had sushi before, so why can't we go to that place that just opened a week ago?" Ashley suggested, immediately prompting Delilah to shake her head in disagreement. The woman was very vocal about her dislike of the dish (among other things), and it seemed Ashley had either forgotten or ignored that fact. Her mouth opened to vocalize the opposition, but Gabrielle heard none of it. As the discussion continued, she directed her attention elsewhere, eyes landing on a familiar hooded figure almost instantly as if it were on cue.

-

"I think I'm gonna just head home, guys." Gabrielle waved her friends off despite their objections, leaving them momentarily confused, though they quickly brushed it off. Only Ashley looked back a moment before fully joining the remaining three as they continued. Gabrielle stuffed her hands into her pockets again and watched Elliot, seeing him look in what seemed to be her direction before turning away. He appeared less steady than usual, which piqued her curiosity and set in motion her beginning to actually walk toward him.

"Hey?" she called out, only halfway there while he was already at his door. "You didn't strike me as the partying type." He still didn't actually, but she thought it less insulting to imply he was out partying rather than getting inebriated on his own. While she had him paused momentarily, she finally made it to his steps, stopping just in front of them.

-

She only shrugged in reply to his question, letting out a large exhalation that visibly faded into the freezing air. One foot sat on the first step, and she leaned forward but made no other move toward his door. "Oh, I didn't notice," another just barely visible cloud of air accompanied the words as they left her lips, adding on to the thinly sarcastic tone of the statement. The left corner of her mouth lifted into a slight smirk before she continued.

"How've you been?" It was such a practiced phrase that one couldn't be sure if she were genuinely interested. She finally walked up the steps after asking, sliding past him, and through the entrance.

-

Gabrielle ignored the unanswered question, not finding it all that important anyway. Now that they had stepped into the apartment, settling into an area with even footing, it was clear that she was the taller of the two, though primarily heightened by the heels she wore. Her entire ensemble made her look incredibly out of place in this setting. Like a fashion model somehow transported to his nearly barren apartment.

"Truthfully? I just got bored of waiting for them to decide on a restaurant." She looked around curiously, but her expression showed no clear judgment of the place so far. "I probably would've gone home eventually even if I didn't see you."

-

She raised an eyebrow, clearly confused but also sporting an almost amused expression. "To be fair, you don't sound much less boring." Her steps were slow as she walked toward him, eyes on whatever it was he was doing on his computer. "Maybe just slightly less boring." His question about her friends remained unanswered, though that seemed like enough of an answer in itself.

"What do you have to drink here?" Gabrielle honestly doubted that he had anything that she would want. She hoped her tone didn't give that fact away.

-

Elliot had been correct; when she opened the fridge, she saw a few water bottles and a six-pack with four beers left. Not much else was there, though, and Gabrielle's brow furrowed a bit at just how empty it was. "Do you just eat out all the time or something?" Her head turned to him slightly, and she watched him move to his bed out of the corner of her eye. She grabbed a bottle before following him, sitting at the edge of his bed. "Here. If you don't drink some of this, you're gonna have a killer hangover when you wake up."
