Having survived the initial systematic extinction of the human species by their own hands, a boy and a girl are the last of their kind to protest that they were there, a testament to the rebellious nature in which man once governed, thinking himself immortal. However, life is no less easier, if any more harder, than it was for the humans in the age of the fire and wheel.
Creatures born of experiments gone wrong, robots with a vengeance and intelligence to boot, the very poison that was the air from up and outside the Metro, and apparitions with unfinished business roaming the lines where they perished.
What hope was there for mere teens, who were ripped from their ordinary lifes and thrust into one of violence of which they've never seen? Why did they keep living when all else was lost? Their fates, the determination of their futures acted upon by their past are up to you and I.
