Welcome to a world that welcomes none.
A terrible illness has mutated and spread across the world. Humanity lays in ruins and few have yet to be infected by the virus. Those who get infected go insane and try to kill all that they see. They aren't zombies. No they are still human, the virus attacks a part of the brain that controls violent tendencies and impluses so that the host will attack and try to kill anything that moves. They will not stop until they are dead or cured and as of now. . . there is No cure. The remaining survivors must fight to stay alive and uninfected. If you get this message. . . be careful.
Here is what we know about the sickness. It spreads through direct skin to skin contact and takes one to three days to fully effect the host once contracted.those who are infected become very anti-social and hardly ever tracks with others. The illness can be fought but very little and it is very rare that a host has the will to fight it. There are however carriers. Children who were born from infected mothers, carriers have the virus but are not effected by it though they still spread it to other who touch them.
There are people looking for a cure but desperation has corrupted them. The white coats are a group of scientists that study the infected and carriers to try and develops a cure however their studies are cruel and painful for the subjects often resulting in untimely death. They test mostly on young children as they pose a smaller threat to the scientists working and are easier to control amd restrain. The white coats have yet to find any sort of cure.

(Note: it is winter)
Clarissa covered her ears and wished that she couldn't hear the screams. She pulled her knees up to her chest and sat like that in the corner of her empty room wearing only a thin pateint's gown. Her hair hung in tangles around her face, her chest heaved as she took slow, heavy breaths. She hated the screams and cries of pain that she could hear she hated that she knew the white coats were hurting people. And she hated that she was alone in the white walled room. Tears ran down her cheeks and she sobbed quietly wanting it all to end.

"N-no. . ." clarissa whimpered and kept her hands over her ears and her eyes tightly shut. She just stayed in the corner crying. Even after the screams stopped she was still upset and unable to calm down while she fought the panic of being alone. It was hard to tell what was worse. Screaming or silence. "Somebody will come for me. I wont be alone. . ." she murmured to herself. Even if it was a whitcoat who came to her she would be greatful to have somebody else in the room. Being alone left her paranoid and let her mind wonder which always scared her

"Wait!" Clarissa squeaked and reached twoards the door but it was already closed by the time she had got up. Now on her knees clarissa stared at the door, "n-no. . . come back." She whimpered and tugged at her hair anxiously murmuring to herself saying that they will come back and she wont be alone for long.

Clarissa looked up at the male with tearstained cheeks and puffy red eyes, "wh-what?" She murmured the question in confusion though the blaring alarms easily drowned out her voice and left her deaf to what he had said. She covered her mouth and nose with her hand as smoke began to fill the room and she stood going to the open door wanting to find the male again but with the smoke becoming thick it was hard to see and she was still alone through the ordeal despite the highpitched screams and the alarms. People ran and she reached out to the ones she could see but none stopped for her. She was confused and frightened so she just stood in the doorway of her room coughing and backing away from the now visable flames
