Maya followed the pair deeper into the forest, maneuvering through the thick brush without much problem. She looked ahead as a path cleared seemingly at will, and she glanced over at the royal warily, still not over what had happened earlier.

Stepping onto the new trail, she plucked a twig out of her hair and flicked it off to the side before seconding the vampire's question, "Yeah, you got any folks you can trust? Would be an awful shame if we got started on our little adventure and we found you lyin' in a pool of your own blood the next mornin'."

Maya nodded, "Aye, lass. If you want somethin' to change, you have to be willing to put your life on it. Others will see the resolve in your eyes and follow along if they believe in your cause. That's truly how movements of any kind are started."

She listen to the vampire speak and rubbed the back of her head, "Perhaps I might have been too harsh on you, Princess. It's not your fault they kept ya locked away in that fancy palace. Still, you can't walk into this without a plan. Maybe we can cook somethin' up at the home or whatever of this mistress of yours."
