Alexis "Dumpy" Dempsey (oc)

Bio:
She was born in a post apocolyptic Earth, after a successful rebellion against an alien dictatorship. The Earth was fairly baren, but not too disorderly; the planet itself was like a small community, with a much lower population and not much illegal activity, thanks to strong and fair leadership. Alexis grew up as a normal kid in that time period would, raised mostly by her aunt while her parents had joined a newly formed peaceful organization set out to recover and reclaim parts of Earth that humans had been wiped out from. Alexis had a knack for engineering and would often venture to wherever large amounts of scrap and spare parts could be found, earning her the nickname "Dumpy" by her friends and eventually the rest of the community.
One day, tired of messing with Earth tech, she went out to the off-limits wreckage of one of the alien ships and accidently set off a machine, which was designed to asexually reproduce the alien species. Rather than make some aliens, though, it broke down and exploded, collapsing the area of the ship and trapping Alexis.
However, due to the explosion and some cuts and scrapes from previously navigating the ship, she was exposed to the DNA and it reacted with her own human DNA. She hadn't changed in physical appearance, but she gained abilities which made her /very/ strong and fast. Her planet hadn't much use for them, other than being able to explore more extreme parts of the planet, but perhaps adventure lies elsewhere. Or maybe the aliens want Earth back. Whatever happens, happens.
Personality:
Alexis is the type to smile, nod, and agree only to go off and do her own thing anyway. She's far from stupid when she deliberately disobeys, so watch out for that. While mindful of morals, she's a playfully, harmlessly mischevious type when bored and unable to tinker like usual. Speaking of which, she's very much gifted in engineering and mechanics, but will be entertained for a while if given a rubics cube or some sort of other puzzle. Oh, did I mention she doesn't like to be bored? She's not too paitent, but if she really wanted to sit and wait for something, she'd do it.
She's also an adventureous and curious type, hence why she went exploring in the alien ship. Being on a peaceful in a peaceful community never fully made her happy, even if tinkering and such kept her busy enough not to lose her mind. Alexis wants danger, but is inexperienced with such. Even if she /can/ handle herself, she most likely needs some sort of mentor to show her /how/. However, being as intelligent as she is, she could figure it out on her own given the right amount of time and experience.
Abilities:
The alien DNA reacting with her own gave her super strength and speed, as well as slight regeneration. An open wound won't heal like it would with a character like Deadpool, but it would heal generally faster than a normal human. She can also jump great heights and leap far distances, and move at speeds fast enough to run three quarters up the side of a standard two-story house. However, the problem with that is while her bones, muscle, etc. can withstand her own strength, her skin cannot. It regenerates, but too much punishment renders the regeneration useless, and leaves her bleeding out and needing medical attention.
To counter this problem, she build a suit using the alloy of the alien ship to use in battle and training. When wearing it, she can withstand extreme temperatures and pressures of space, Earth, and most likely other planets. The helmet to it of course allows her to breath in space, underwater, etc. etc. It's incredibly light and flexible, and while it doesn't break easy it can easily be shaped and bent. So, she can be crushed or have her limbs twisted with some effort.
