Dazai is a very funny character in person that loves to commit an attempted suicide, he even rode a book about it countless of times. And acts very childish such as in Episode two of Bungou Stray Dogs. He plays rock-paper-scissors with his partner Kunikida.
Despite that, Dazai can be serious at times and his goofy personality makes people unable to see and think what he is actually thinking or what he is plotting at.

Kunikida oftenly get mad at Dazai because of his silly behavior on the wrong timing.

Chuya is a member of the Mafia and is the partner of Dazai. They were so close that both of them know how they both like to act, which is why also how Dazai can predict Chuya's next move.
Dazai likes calling Chuya short and likes to tease him. According to the character bio. They both dislike eachother. Chuya Dislikes Dazai because he betrayed the mafia and went to the Detective agency
They used to be called "Soukoku" or in English "Double Black"
