Before the world erupted into the wasteland that it is now, Sarah was just trying to keep her head above water. Ever since she became the sole survivor of an operation gone wrong in Kerzastan, she has fought with partial memory loss, hypertension, depression, nightmares and more, The doctors tossed around PTSD as the diagnosis and while that was the truth of it, they did little to help her. Due to her instability, she was honorably discharged and allowed to live state-side, with her parents at first then on her own. She kept in fighting shape and spent her other free time playing first person shooter games, looking for some semblance of purpose and to keep her reflexes sharp. Civilian life was hard for her but when the first zombie came bursting through her door, it was as if the fire was stoked back to life, she would live and fight for the ones she had lost in the line of duty. Now, trying to survive takes up her whole focus and she only struggles with the nightmares when she gets a chance to sleep.
