Jaineba Adwin the Queen's Blade
Introduction: Jaineba's arrival correlated with Yoruban Empire. A sudden appearance out of nowhere that many people struggled to get used to. Jaineba seemed to have appeared in Oya's court upon a random meeting, a rare sight at first but then she got more and more prominent over the months. Then she started giving direct orders to high-ups, claiming to simply relay the Queen's words. Theories arose that she was a cousin or sister to the Queen, maybe a daughter. Though her official title of 'apprentice' solidified her role. Jaineba the inheritor to the throne. Though she may not act like it.

PERSONALITY:
Jaineba is easy going, known to be relaxed in extremely high-pressure situations. And can appear to be very lazy, though she normally completes the tasks at scheduled times. She's an extremely extroverted person and can seem very energetic though she'll prefer to associate with more introverted characters. Jaineba generally doesn't take situations very seriously, and she's often confident in her talents or the talents of other people. With all that, she rarely pushes herself beyond just average. She's often just enough to meet expectations and never more. That often makes him both reliable in success but never great. Jaineba generally likes to associate with much more experienced people.
TALENTS AND ABILITIES
Slashy-shield hybrid- Her default state. Jaineba normally carries a basic circular shield and a curved cutlass. Generally heavy weaponry. She practices type 2 in swordsmanship, a defensive technique mainly specialized by security guards. It focuses on powerful but calculated swings designed to meet multiple enemies. Though bad at offence, Jaineba's main weapon system deals with strong counterattacks. The cutlass is normally enchanted to have enhanced sharpness and the shield is often hard enough to shatter blades. She is often just good enough yet suspiciously survives dangerous situations.
Slashy-staff hybrid- A hyper-aggressive state that is extremely rare. The shield is replaced with a small wand with strong magical properties The wand is used as an enchanted melee weapon. She is surprisingly strong, showing overwhelming upper body strength while remaining swift. She only fights with the wand during matters of extreme importance, and normally where there are no witnesses to see. Such as when dealing with people the Queen told her to.
Tribal magic- Often used in conjunction with her slashy-staff hybrid, Jaineba is a natural master of tribal magic. However, she doesn't use tribal magic through her wand as most users do. She casts the tribal magic directly without the use of any magical aids. Her offensive use of magic is notably violent and aggressive, with high bursts of energy designed to kill. Her main use of magic is in buffering and enhancements. Jaineba specializes in using spells to improve her and other people's physical abilities such as strength.
BACKGROUND
Only a few weeks after Oya's power has become set, Jaineba appeared, seemingly out of nowhere. She was very much marked as the second highest officer, answering Oya directly. Though Jaineba's unofficial rank in the military and political hierarchy along with an almost ghostly appearance has confused people. Jaineba's main job seemed to be observing the work of other officials to report back to the Queen. Acting as a sort of extension of Oya's direct command.
The first few weeks were marked with a lot of uncertainty and a lot of attempted assassinations. Many seasoned officers were uncomfortable with someone so young and mysterious. A lot of poisoning or violent attacks happened to attempt to get rid of Jaineba. The issue grew severe very quickly with Jaineba breaking the record for surviving the most assassinations in recorded history. The assassinations eventually stopped after Oya personally took matters into her own hands by introducing Jaineba to her officers at a hosted party.
Eventually, the nobility's response to Jaineba switched. Over the coming months, she was treated as a pseudo-princess of sorts with many suitors attempting to win her affection. Higher-ups currently attempt to marry off their sons in hopes of getting closer to the Queen.
