Plot Idea: Fix Your Mistake (Romance/Fantasy)

A young alchemist girl was hailed as a genius, able to do miracles. Sadly, alchemy isn't seen in a positive light, as it can do both great things and also horrific terrors. Many rumors flood the lands about how evil alchemy is, but the girl was not evil and often just wanted to focus on her ethical research. However, one day an entire estate is murdered when they are turned into marble statues. The girl is taken away and thrown in jail, but she was not the culprit. It didn't matter though, how logically she argued her case, she was sentenced to life in jail and now faces her entire existence in a dingy cell. However, one fact left out of the news was that one person in the estate survived, a knight who was out on a mission. A knight who went to get a ring to propose to a woman he believed he was in love with, regardless of how codependent she was. When he came back, though, his to-be fiancé was now a pretty statue in the garden.

Distraught with grief, the knight sets out to find the girl in prison, and when he does, he breaks her out. However, this is not to help her, instead, he says that he will kill her if she does not reverse the spell. Of course, the girl did not do it, but a chance to escape and not die is too good to pass up, and so she accepts the offer (still, of course, stating how she is innocent). The knight plans to kill her anyway whenever she fixes her mistake, so he takes her to the mansion and provides her with whatever she needs to turn his love back. However, as he spends more time with her, he finds himself noticing how the love of his life might have not been so good to him, at least compared to how the alchemist treated him. He also may find himself doubting if she did it all...and may even find himself searching for someone else that could've done it. Maybe, when she fixes everything, he might even hesitate to kill her.

Notes:
-Slightly enemy to lovers but more like a false enemy! Still want this to be slow burn
