Roleplay Idea #1: The Fallen Knight and the Witch

This plot involves a knight who has lost his faith and his title and a witch who just wants to be loved. This is a world where magic was viewed as an insult to God, all forms of it are outlawed by nearly every nation. All magic users are persecuted and are treated as inhuman or as tools for war. The knight was from the kingdom of Camdor, a domain that was far ahead of its time, and they believed that magic was a gift from God. Many clans made this land their home, both magic and non-magic alike.

Camdor was no stranger to war, but considering their land was treated as sacred ground to many, it was rare for them to have enagage in any significant conflicts despite their great military might. Tragedy struck when the two surrounding kingdoms, Drachma and Juval, suddenly declared war Camdor without warning, and Camdor was no match for their combined might despite their immense magic might. The once-proud kingdom was destroyed by their enemies, and they had no idea why. The royal family was slaughtered, its people routinely executed, and the entire nation used as an example as to what happens to anyone that grows too arrogant in the face of God.

Many years have passed since that day. The few survivors struggled to survive in a world that hated their very existence, and the knight and witch were amongst them. The story can go many different ways, it is primarily dark with classic dark fantasy tropes, but it can also turn into a hopeful romance.
