A native of Cleveland, Ohio, Omari “Quickie” Carter had always had a talent: speed. From racing against other kids in his neighborhood to running track and playing football in high school, Omari always loved being the fastest person around. His athletic ability had gotten him multiple athletic scholarship offers. The summer just before his Senior Year, Omari was involved in a car accident in which his leg was broken in several places, preventing him from participating in any athletics. After going through a grueling physical rehabilitation process over the course of his Senior Year, Omari was able to walk across the stage to accept his High School Diploma without any assistance. As he didn’t compete in any sports his Senior Year, the various scholarship offers had been withdrawn. Since Omari’s grades weren’t quite high enough for an academic scholarship and his parents couldn’t afford to pay for his tuition, he enlisted in the U.S. Army, hoping to make use of Government benefits.

Over the course of multiple deployments to Afghanistan, he’d developed quite a knack for being a warfighter. Over his military career, however, the incompetence and negligence of some of his superiors had led to some of his friends being killed or wounded, disillusioning him to serving in the U.S. military. Despite the reassurances he offered to his parents on multiple occasions, Quickie had lost his interest in college.

Once he completed his time in the Army, Omari began working for PMC Grey Sword International.
