Background Story:

Adeline Harper, a young girl born to young parents, in a town no one ever leaves. Just outside of the Appalachian mountains, Adeline had never ventured past them. It was too easy for the girl to get lost in that way of life, which is why when her boyfriend of 3 years proposed after their high school graduation she accepted. The two had a small ceremony and eventually moved into a small house on the outskirts of town. Once Addie was away from her family that is when her husband turned abusive. Addie only ever told her mother, who told her she needed to be a good wife and stay quiet.

So Addie stayed quiet, and stayed a loyal little wife. Her husband only seemed to get angrier when a pregnancy test came out positive. She tried to push through it the first four months, until one night he really hurt her. The very next day while he was away she read about her potential escape. A bus headed for somewhere she did not care, a new start for her and her daughter. She left divorce papers signed with a lawyer in town and left.
