Windhope's Blog

Behind.

Meanwhile, he is always left behind on new matters, since he is always living in his own world and doing his weird stuff around.
He suddenly contacts ZhongLi, saying that he needs the book that he sealed, since he may have found a way to translate it.

Problem is, the book is somewhat disappeared from there. The seal got not broken nor damaged, let alone ignored, it's intact and impenetrable as always. It's as if the book just vanished in the nothingness, which means that unless it killed itself and disintegrated, the only possible answer to the mystery is that a powerful magic was used to somewhat summon the book. Such magic isn't impossible, it's just incredibly rare in the current world, where almost nobody can do even the most simple spells.

The book is really too important to ignore the matter. It could even be dangerous in the wrong hands, Windhope is certain of that.
The problem is that the book could be anywhere, but there are only few people they know for sure to be aware of its existence: Skylar, Nomori and her people, HaoLin, Sakura, KiNo, Clover, surely Red Dawn and some of the Ancient Ones who might have spotted it back in the old times.

It's now up to ZhongLi to choose what to do, while Windhope goes to consult with Clover first about the matter.

Skylar.

He is growing a little restless. When Kuro Sakura told them that the book he has been desperate to find for a millennia is just in the possession of a good boy in TiHao's fortress, he expected they'd get their hands on it easily. But days pass and no news. He assumes ZhongLi is having some difficulties and since he wouldn't pressure him about it, he decides to do what every old one normally does: bother a young one.

HaoLin is one of the 4 people in the universe he would speak with, and knows that he lives with TiHao in his fortress now, so he contacts him. They have a brief meeting, where Windhope tells the boy about the book and asks him if it could be borrowed from Skylar even for just a short time.

Blow.

While at the breakfast, the doors of the hall get suddenly open by a strong gust of cold wind. But the wind itself carries a message for ZhongLi, written in a small parchment, in light blue ink. Ancient dolashin.

The message says "I need your help. Please meet me outside the city, north-west".
Red Dawn is probably familiar with the awkward, antisocial ways of Windhope by now. XD

Ahochi.

Also known as "People of Memory", Ahochi is the current time civilization developed from the ancient, pre-dolashin people that inhabited the world of Nortrig alongside the Dask.
They were originally called "the Others" by the Dask themselves, as they were entirely isolated from the others and very hostile towards every other humanoids. Their initial name was lost in time, as nobody has been able to translate their ancient manuscripts, back in the time they were uncovered by the modern time auriold of the pre-cataclysm world.

The ancient history of the Ahochi is unknown even to them. The current people of their tribe fully descend from the 3 under-evoluted hominids that resided in that mysterious forest, by the volcano and its dangerous secret.
* The reason why those three in particular were still alive and still not evoluted to a more adapt state was the fact time, in their home, was almost entirely still.

[What happened after removing the black hole from the volcano?]
The original god of Nortrig and its early people (The Dask and the Others), who was stuck in his own magic to protect the world from that threat, was freed and awoke. Not in front of the eyes of the people.
The gods of Dolash promptly got in contact with him and decided to welcome him to the Halls, to join them as the newly ascended God of Memory.
* That god was and still is much younger than those of Dolash, therefore much less powerful, which is what allowed him to be in the world without causing mass destruction.

[What happened to Ica, Ger and Hil? (The surviving three of the "Others"?]
Two kitsune remained by their side when everyone left, to help them. They simply decided to stay with those people, since non-auriold species were not affected by their upsetting appearance (that was only upsetting to auriold and derivates, due to the memory written in their DNA for their entire evolution, warning them to fear those people, as they hunted the early auriold fiercely.)
After the God of Memory ascended to Dolash, some zimox of Jeisin were sent to the world and led Ica, Ger and Hil (the children weren't ica's) to a new destination, specifically selected by the gods for them to develop safely. The kitsune who were with them followed too.
It was an island that the zimox themselves protected from potential, unwanted threats.

The presence of zimox and kitsune attracted many other creatures from other species, like mermaids and nimox, to the island and the people who were slowly developing. The people of the island ended up cross breeding with many different creatures throughout the centuries.
Due to the peculiar DNA of the "Others", even if they crossbred with different creatures, their offsprings were never fully presenting the features of the other race. (I.e. Others + Zimox = others with some slight zimox features, but never a full or half zimox.)

Crossbreeding with different creatures, and then among themselves, ended up creating a very healthy diversity in their DNA and a completely different race.
The zimox of Jeisin converted them to worship the Gods of Dolash and helped them to develop their culture in a (even too much) peaceful and violence-free community.

The Ahochi people are very attentive in the study of the little history they know about their tribe, that goes from the events at the forest on.
They consider some of the people involved in that battle as the greatest heroes of their people, because it's thanks to them if they still exist nowadays. (But characters will see with their own eyes, when they visit their territory.)
They also consider some of the people from that time as super villains, unsurprisingly BangSul, Hoseok and whoever was in the Imperial Army.

In the thousand years of destruction that devastated the whole world, due to violent earthquakes, their island pretty much crashed into the coasts of the eastern continent.
They too were affected by the cataclysm, but unlike for the others, in their case it was due to the natural events that resulted: tsunamis, earthquakes, eruptions. They are all naturally immune to the plague and until their island crashed with the coast, undead weren't an issue.

The Ahochi are mostly fishermen, living on what they find in the sea and beaches. They don't have a very complex society and aren't in touch with any other people.
They have no weapons and due to their strong principles, they reject violence under any form and are completely unable to fight or even defend themselves. Which explains why their numbers are always pretty low.
They are literate, but only on the ancient language of the "Others".
* The ancient book WonPil found in Petra could still be in the hands of known characters.

Unboxing.

WonPil soon receives a package through his magic mail amulet. It's an average, thin wooded box, of the kind auriold use to send objects. It's not heavy, but it definitely contains an object inside.

At first, WonPil doesn't think much about it. He brings it to the bed of his room and opens it, to see what's inside. He sits and uncovers the top of the box.
The inside is filled with straw, but not gross straw picked from some stable, it's finely cut and placed as a protection for the real protagonist of the delivery.
WonPil spots a little, black container into the straw and carefully pulls it out of the envelope.

Unbeknownst to him, a very tiny spider crawls out from inside the box too. It's as way too small to catch WonPil's attention, especially while the guy is distracted by the gift.
The spider is undead and under the control of TiHao, whom, with his power, can literally take possession of the minion and move around in its body. He can hear what the spider hears, see what it sees and so on.
The tiny undead quickly crawls down WonPil's leg and hides in a wrinkle at the end of the pants sleeve. It's way too light for its weight to be perceivable through the thick sweatpants.
And now TiHao got his spy positioned.

Meanwhile, WonPil opens the little container he extracted from the package and almost gets a stroke at the sight of what it contains.
It's a Versace, thick, gold bracelet. Clearly from Earth, but it's not just a random item.
Years before, he had seen that bracelet in the window of a jewelry and stared at it for a bit. He wanted it, but it was way too expensive for him to dream about it. It happened the first time he went out with TiHao, before they had their first date and before Hori took over. He barely thought about that thing, but he tends to remember very vividly. Especially the things that happened in that period.
For WonPil it was over 10 years before, but for TiHao it was just a few weeks prior. He wouldn't forget so quickly.

The jewel brings in the awareness that there is only one person who could have sent that item to him and that's certainly not one of the Riddle, as he initially thought when he received the package.
In shock and panic, he ends up slipping from the bed and ending up on the floor, with the bracelet on his palm, like it was an unlocked grenade, that could explode any moment.
WonPil doesn't know what to do. He is too terrified to return the gift, too scared to throw it away and has absolutely no intention to use and wear it.
When he recovers from the shock, he slowly stands up, clinging to the bed. He places the bracelet back into its box and then into the envelope, closing it again and hiding it inside his own backpack. He doesn't know if he should mention it to others, but for the moment, he is too shaken to do so.
