He couldn't care less about Ruby, he is only glad he is dead. He and Blade take care of the body and work on trying to bring the IPC the wrong way.
When they are done, they return to Miko and WonPil, having a chat now that they recovered from what happened.
They decide to head back to Guyun, not knowing about the situation, just to figure out what the guards have actually seen and if WonPil and Miko are indeed wanted.
Johan and Blade begin to walk in the streets of Guyun, avoiding Johan's house. They aim to head to one of the boards to have a look at the bounties.

Qi, in the morning, brings Johan some positive news. He tells him Miko is still stable and is likely to recover.
"She has a really tough constitution and she survived the most delicate part. I'm positive things will get better for her, but..."
"But?" Johan is reassured but his words concern him too.
"Both her spine and brain could be damaged, once she wakes up, we'll be able to tell more. According to what I have seen, I believe the damages can heal but it will take time and effort." His field of expertise is brain but he is knowledgable in all of it by now.
"What do you mean?"
"I mean she might be unable to move certain parts of her body for now, but we'll see."

Johan has to go to work and thankfully he can go with lighter heart, even if the matter worries him, still, what the future might bring.
He is distracted during work but tries. He then heads home for a bath but notices the pair not far from his place, he remembers they both live nearby. He greets them in a rather friendly way, that instill is actually creepy since they know he saw them at the scene.
Johan heads inside and washes before to return to the hospital where he is allowed to be in her room, finally. He sleeps there for a few hours, wanting the doctors and the nurses to see clearly he is there and doesn't leave the room, from the door.

He sneaks out with his usual method and proceeds, covered by the darkness. The two are still frightened, fearing they'll be reported to the guards. They are together to discuss what to do.
Johan reaches the place, finding the luck to find the two together a sign. He maps the house with his special clock and from the hologram, he checks where exactly they are and the possible ways outs they could have. He knows exactly what to do.

He sets on the back door a portal leading back inside the house, so that they won't be able to escape. He then makes his entrance from the other door. They are both scared by his sudden appearance. One of them raises his hands. "It is not as you think!"
Johan begins to play with his sword. "What am I thinking?"
"We didn't mean to...we thought it was aggressive and dangerous...not a nimox..." They are more and more frightened. One of them attacks Johan but with his trick, he redirects the attack on his own friend, stabbing him in the belly.
The man can hardly believe what he witnessed. "What are you! You and your damned wolf, DIE!" He aims to attack again but Johan keeps redirecting the attacks either on his friend or himself, totally making it look like they fought and leaving no track of himself.

The two both collapse, they are covered in wounds and can't move anymore. Johan remains there to watch them die, slowly and painfully.
He returns to the hospital after making sure he left no tracks at all and removing his dirty suit. He deletes the data regarding the house from his clock.

A few days after, Miko finally wakes up, but it becomes clear she is confused and doesn't remember everything. Qi begins to ask her: ''Hello. Do you know what's your name and where do you come from?''
''I'm Miko, I come from Lianxi.'' She understands she is hurt and in the hospital, overall her reasoning doesn't seem damaged.
''Very well. Do you know who am I? And this person?'' Qi points Johan.
''I don't...think I know any of you, doctor.''
Johan's eyes widen at her words. ''Miko! I'm...''
Qi motions him to stay calm and shut up. ''You indeed never met me, but it seems you are missing some parts. This man is your companion.''
Miko looks at Johan more carefully. ''Really..? How can it be?''
''That should be an offense?'' Johan asks.
''No, quite the opposite. How would you be with someone like me.''
Johan snorts at her answer. ''You are always the same instill. When can I take her home, doctor?''
''In a few days, first I want to explain both of you some exercises you need to do every day. She will also need check ups.''
''Whatever she needs, I'll do anything.''
When done talking to the doctor, he decides to text Jing Yuan: | Miko woke up, she seems to be much better. I'll take her home the day after tomorrow. |

And indeed, in a couple of days, Johan takes her home. She is still a bit uncomfortable around him, even if he is pretty good in interactions when he wants, helping her to feel more at ease, plus he doesn't go easy on her with his charm.
He places her on his bed. ''You have your own place, but for now you'd better stay here so I can take care of you properly.'' He avoids skinship for now, but he sounds very soft.
''Alright.'' Miko still can't walk on her own, her forehead is still bandaged.

He looks for Miko but it is not an easy deal to find her. He is forced to give up as it starts to rain so badly. He rushes back home and sends her several texts without receiving an answer. He is worried but thinks she wants to be on her own for a bit.
In the middle of the night, he is awaken by scratches on the main door. He goes to have a look, finding a lonely, dirty wolf. He rubs his eyes, stunned by sleep. "Miko, is that you?"
He takes her inside, then to the bathtub to warm her up with hot water and to clean her from mud. Miko doesn't change back at all, nor tries to communicate.
After washing her, he takes her to bed, where he cuddles her till they fall asleep.

The day after, she doesn't seem intentioned to go back to her form. Johan goes to work and even as he returns, she is still there and a wolf.
He tries to talk to her and be of comfort but she still looks quite depressed. "Won't you take back your form?" He sits next to her on the bed, she leans her head on his lap and he starts stroking her head and back. "We can get through this, I'm not going anywhere."

Some time passes and Miko still doesn't turn back into a person. Both of them are starting to worry, because she seems unable to. Miko tries to change back but nothing happens. Johan doesn't know what to do to help her, so they start making researches about Nimox in general, but they are mostly basic informations. They have to travel to other feuds in hope to find something useful but even there, they don't know anything about a possible disease.
Johan is frustrated, he is still unable to help her.

They head out together to try to chill out. He bought her a leash, to avoid being bothered by the guards.
He sits on a bench after walking for a bit. "We have to try Shuguang next, we'll go next weekend, aren't nimox more common there?"
She barks once, meaning yes.
"There are still many possibilities from what we figured out so far, a disease, a curse, maybe something within your mind." He pats her head while she leans it on his lap, wagging her tail slightly. "We'll solve this, it's a promise." He says in a lower and softer tone.
They restart to walk, she stands by his side, behaving well. She makes sure to look friendly even to strangers to avoid troubles, like having Johan reported for keeping a wild and aggressive wolf. She is bigger and thicker than the average wolf-dog after all.

Miko waits for about 2pm to go to Johan and retrieve her phone, not wanting to disturb him while he rests, even if she is in hurry. He comes to open the door, still wearing only his underwear, as he has just woken up. ''Miko...''
''Were you asleep?''
''No, no, come in.'' He moves aside to let her in.
She walks inside and closes the door. ''I left my phone the other day. Where is it?''
Johan points her a direction then returns to sit by the table to finish his breakfast.
She finds the phone, giving Johan a glance. ''You are so childish.'' She says, turning around her phone to show the new screen. ''Really? Poor Dan Heng...'' She shakes her head while Johan snickers at sleeping Dan Heng's picture. She goes to sit near him, checking all the messages. ''My...we have made a mess...''
''Did we? We actually haven't done anything wrong. It is Cyno to be in the wrong.''
''I don't know if it is just me being paranoid...but yesterday night, someone was following me.'' Miko leans her back against the chair, looking at the ceiling.
''You were followed? You wouldn't just imagine things.'' It bothers him a lot. ''Who do you think it is?''
''I don't know.''
''You do.'' He stands up and bends down on her, his hands on her shoulders. ''You have to tell me if someone or something is troubling you.'' He knows how resourceful she is, he is sure she is not telling him everything.
She is surprised by his words and move, remaining silent and a bit stunned.
''Tell me your theories...I want to protect you, like you protected me...'' He says in a lower tone, getting closer to kiss her.
Miko begins to kiss him back, without answering, she attempts to distract him for good from the question, aiming to lower his underwear, but he grabs her hand. ''Miko.''
She takes a breath and stands up, taking some distance. ''I'm not sure for real...could be some old enemy of mine from Shuguang, maybe someone recognized me, maybe it is a Hunter I ruined...''
''I'll come to stay to your place for a few days, let's confirm it.''

They make their planning to first find out if indeed someone is following her, then a way to capture that person. A matter comes up for Miko and she has to leave and let Johan handle it by himself.
It doesn't take Johan long to catch Raiden, regardless she is stronger, he always wins in cunning. He catches her and takes her away, hiding her in Miko's old storage. Raiden lets it be, at least for now, she thinks she can find out something.
Basically Raiden has been missing without any news for more than a day now.

His job has different timings. He returns a bit late from Miko's place and goes to sleep, but the day after, he doesn't need to work in the morning, so he grabs the chance to face Dan Heng.
He makes sure to wake up early to catch him before he leaves. He prepares some breakfast, a simple toast with butter and some eggs. ''Dan, come. I cooked something.'' He has so much housewife potential, seriously.
