ShinLin's Blog

Oh no.

He goes to pick up WonPil from school like every other day and on the way home, they stop to buy a lot of candies.
Everything seems normal, until they get inside the apartment, take off their shoes and coats and… WonPil asks him if the next day, he could go to his friend's house.
Now… any neurotypical man would find it a perfectly normal thing and even something to be happy about: the kid found a friend at preschool right away.
But he is neurodivergent and, at all effects, a paranoid mommy.

What if that guy is actually a serial killer who has just targeted WonPil as an easy victim? What if he is a criminal? What if he'd give WonPil drugs in his home? What if his parents are bad and violent people who'd hurt WonPil?
His mind could go on forever, but he realises that WonPil might want an answer within the year. «I-I… let me… let me think about… it or a bit…» And he runs to the office.
In there, he is left in a full inner conflict: his inability to say no and his paranoid ass.

Eventually, he comes up with a sort of idea. He is a maths genius, definitely not a social one.
He asks to pretty much any character he could know he could have asked to, to help him with figuring out if Chan is an all right guy, safe for WonPil to be friend with. Then he tells to WonPil to invite his friend to have dinner with them the next day, instead of going to his house.

WonPil finds it a little weird, but doesn't feel too disappointed about it, since he won't at least have to just say no to his friend. He naturally doesn't know that ShinLin has his own plan and invited someone to basically question Chan and make his criminal profile during the dinner.

ShinLin sends the time and address for the dinner to the person he asked to help.

Shopping.

Since preschool will begin soon, for WonPil, they have to go out to buy the materials he will need, plus the books and the uniform. Preschool courses don't take place in Malicedom itself but in various dedicated buildings in different cities. Preschool is mainly attended by immigrants and prodigy kids, who want to skip the first few years of Malicedom.

Winter one introduced itself in full splendor, with a night, light blizzard that covered whole Thylum is a thick layer of snow and ice.
They have to go out, regardless the cold, but thankfully now WonPil has some proper clothes and a thick coat that ShinLin had a tailor make for him. He doesn't restrain himself when it comes of spending money.

While walking towards the stationery store, they come across a group of big guys, all rather tall and muscular. They look older than WonPil for sure, but their clothes suggest they are young, probably between their late teens and early twenties.
It's in situations like that when WonPil's legendary heterosexuality shows best and he almost has a meltdown after seeing those beefs.
ShinLin, on the other hand, feels very threatened as they have a bit of the typical look of bullies. For that reason, he grabs WonPil's sleeve and pulls him to move faster towards the store, while the boy keeps staring backwards, at those guys. ShinLin really hopes those ones won't be at school in the same time as WonPil - even if they would clearly be at the final years, seen their size.
The typical popular, battlefield bullies.

In the stationery store, ShinLin buys a lot of stuff. Everything that WonPil will need for preschool, from diary to pencils, multi colour pens, maths tools… and a lot of pencils, pens and notebooks for himself too. That's the only kind of shopping he likes.
After that, they head to buy the books. One would think they would be small, for barely two months of courses but no, they are huge. And many.
The two struggle a little to carry all that stuff out of the store, but then ShinLin simply flushes everything into his infinite purse, so they are relieved from the burden. That act leaves WonPil even more shocked than the big guys they encountered.

At the end of their shopping, naturally, they head to have a meal in a pub. ShinLin's and WonPil's personality match in many things, but appetite is where they are almost soulmates. Neither of them has ever to wonder if the other is hungry too, because the answer is always yes.
ShinLin heads to the same pub he has always gone to and they walk inside, welcomed by the warmth of the place and the refreshing scent of deep fried food.

Secret.

Upon finding out that Qi brought an unaware auriold from Earth to Heinhoss illegally, he hurries to get in touch with his Riddle friend - Richard. He wants to know what needs to be done to avoid his son to end up in big troubles with the law. He is well aware that in Heinhoss, every trouble with the law is a big one, no matter how harmless. And what father would want their son to lose their good reputation.

ShinLin, after spending one night and half day with WonPil, heads with him - he would NEVER leave him alone - to Richard's home, where he was invited to after asking for help. Since he is the son of the King, he hopes Richard will know what to do, or at least that he could point him to the right direction.
Case wants that Richard actually lives in Crowley too, since he is a professor in the academies too, so they don't need to teleport.
It's not very close, but they have no choice but to walk through the city. And it's starting to get cold, as Winter I is by now there. It's snowing every day, but not enough to cover everything yet. A light and soft snow, with temperatures ranging between 3 to -5°C. A rather mild Winter I.

WonPil, though, isn't prepared for even that winter, clothes-wise. He only has the military uniform and the outfit Lani gifted him, thus a t-shirt and light jeans. That worries ShinLin, despite the other doesn't seem affected by the cold.
Though, he tries to walk fast, to reach Richard's home and avoid WonPil to get hurt by the cold.
Upon arriving, they are welcomed to the mansion by the butler, who lets them in.

Richard comes to meet them, but he only sends a glance to WonPil, focusing mostly on ShinLin. After greeting, Richard tells his servants to prepare something warm and sweet for WonPil, while he and ShinLin move to his office to discuss the matter.
They sit by the desk, where is already a tray with their favourite teas and pastries.
Richard asks him to tell him the whole story in detail, but ShinLin only knows what he could figure out from what WonZi and WonPil said. Which isn't much, he didn't even ask WonPil to tell him the story yet.

They speak for a while and Richard concludes that he will try to talk to his father about it, in hope that they won't have to go through all the heavy and very strict procedures required in those situations. Northern law is especially rigid when it comes of relations with Earth and they are always on huge alert over human traffickers, which makes the system almost paranoidly careful.

Richard invites them to stay for dinner, but ShinLin politely declines and heads back to Qi's house with WonPil. On the way, he buys takeaway food for both, not wanting WonPil and himself to eat only sausages for another meal. ShinLin doesn't eat pickled vegetables and onions for sure and even if he can cook, he prefers to buy it ready.

MD.

After dinner, the Knights are escorted to the whole tower that was prepared to host them.
It's like the gryffindor tower from HP, but with separate bedrooms, united by a common lounge room with couches and tables.

The very next days, the guys who didn't complete their middle studies are given a test to see on which year of Malicedom they'd be the most suitable.
Both LaNi and QinShi have to do the test, but LaNi decides not to answer honestly. He knows that his knowledge is too advanced, even for Heinmenhos standards, and he doesn't want to risk troubles. Even less he wants to let QinShi go to school all alone, knowing that he will be the top target of every bully.
Basically, LaNi answers the questions of the test according to what he thinks to be QinShi's knowledge.

At the end, both are decided to be sent to Malicedom. Their ideal year would be the 10th, but Morius thought it would be better for them to be with younger guys, also in a year with overall a lower number of students. For these reasons, they are signed for the 8th year, like TiHao and the others.

Ni ._.

The same day as when LaNi spoke to TiHao about Shiinden, he ends up getting lost. He followed a wild animal in the forest and ended up not managing to find the way back anymore, which of course led him to a very deep panic and terror.

LaNi got warned by the servants about the fact QinShi simply disappeared from the garden and they couldn't find him anywhere and he had to leave TiHao and starts to search.

All is well what ends well, LaNi manages to find QinShi and to bring him home, although it takes him a while to manage to comfort the terrified boy.
