I'm a queer, UK-based roleplayer who normally prefers to use OCs in fandom-based scenarios. Having said that, I also enjoy using canon characters but primarily add my own twists and headcannons to deviate them from the usual.
I prefer they/them pronouns and do not mind she/her or he/him too in the mentioned order.
I have more connection with playing male characters but don't mind playing male, female or non-binary characters!

In terms of roleplaying, I love lengthier, multi-character stories with lots of drama and angst-heavy action. I mainly use a mix of either Original Characters and/or Canon Characters in roleplays and choose to do so solely with friends. I am over 21 but wish to not RP adult themes please, especially as it breaks the RP.me TOS.
I prefer to read and write long replies best (Sorry, very cliché to see "no one-liners" on profiles hah) and I generally prefer story style rather than script style replies.
I.e. This:

"I suppose I could organise the equipment with it being so quiet." Fiji mutters to himself.
The meerkat haphazardly places his fresh mug of hot, black coffee down on the main counter, close to his med-bag.
Usually he'd scorn himself for having uncovered mugs in the infirmary due to how unhygienic it is and how much of a workplace hazard it could be, but today was going surprisingly slowly with a lack of patients. He could break his rule just this once.

*Fiji turns, shuffling through a drawer for a moment and huffing in evident boredom. He turns rigid and alert though when a click of a small latch catches his attention.*

*He turns back around and groans as he watches his medical bag, possible mimic, open up and envelop his coffee, mug and all, never to be seen again.*
Fiji: Oh, come on! *He thumps a fist onto the now reclosed bag in frustration.* That was my favourite mug!

However I mainly tailor my RP styles to the other person's style and will write in different formats and use various methods among various platforms! I especially enjoy using Discord to Roleplay as there are more text options.
