History: Reborn after having exhausted all of his options in his time, Raiine is born back into what looks like the house of Revel from centuries ago. Born as the youngest son, he was mostly ignored in favour of the two eldest who were more likely to take over the family's trade empire from their father. As the quiet and recluse kid who kept to himself and didn't make much fuss over his more demanding and spoilt elder brothers, he was mostly known as a recluse, allowed to go around aimlessly.
After having suffered so much in his past life, Raiine was simply going through the motions listlessly. He kept up his training from the old world in a desperate hope to hang on to any chance that it had been for something, but the dull feeling he always felt deep in his soul that he hadn't achieved his one goal in death was slowly eating away at that.
A lot of things were changing though, and he was about to find himself no longer capable of being a bystander.

The Revels are in charge of the food and drink trade in the kingdom. They are traditional, close-minded and haughty, often treating those of the lower class with no thought. Women are to be the carers or trophies to obtain as they are entitled to by their standing. Money is the aim and they usually side with wherever it smells the richest.

Additional Information:
• Raiine hates his family
• Finds it hard to put forth the effort to make a change after all the effort he went through in his past life.
• Is fiercely driven when motivated

Rules

I'll probably add more to this eventually but these are basic things off the top of my head.

- Third person is a must.

- If you add, you talk first. I'll most likely give two days before deleting. That goes both ways so if I've added you I will also message first.

- I can't claim to be perfect with my writing and I will definitely make mistakes but please be literate. A mistake every now and then is fine but if I'm noticing a pattern I'll probably end the roleplay. Feel free to critique me as well.

- Happy to do **** scenes and such but not as a main focus of the story. I don't think I'm particularly fantastic at them and it doesn't hold my interest for too long if it's the main driving force.

- I will not be roleplaying with people under the age of 18. I'm in my early 20's and this would probably just make me feel uncomfortable regardless of the content of the roleplay.

- My muse is sporadic and sometimes disappears completely for months. It's an unfortunate truth but there's a chance I might just disappear sometimes. When it's there I'll usually go through multiple responses a day so feel free to give me a bit of a nudge if I'm gone for over a day in terms of replies.

- I don't do MxM relationships. I have done so before and I imagine I'd be able to muscle through it but it is a lot harder to get through when I'm not into it. Though if the concept, story and roleplaying partner was experienced enough I might be able to.

- Don't control my character.

- I've never played a female character before. This isn't a hard and fast rule but I can't imagine I'd be very proficient at writing a female character.

Raiine (Original Character)

//I came up with this a while ago and it could probably use a little bit of a touch-up.
It's also not a hard set, can be altered in any way I need to fit different settings and stories

The small house of Revel, not a very well-known noble family but noble nonetheless, lived out their days in their "small' mansion out in the countryside without much fuss. They were a loud, boisterous family of four, for the most part.

Mario Revel, the current head of the house, a large man that enjoyed his riches and his liquor even more so.

Sylvia Revel, the wife of Mario, a buxom woman who enjoyed doting on herself with all of the money she married into, for it was not the man she was eyeing at the alter, but the rings on his fingers.

Shadow Revel, the first daughter of the house, a fun-loving girl who enjoyed spending her days playing with her brother, complaining to her brother, trying to annoy her brother, anything that involved trying to get her brother to show some emotion.

This leads us to...

Raiine Revel, the first son, and heir to the Revel house.

Raiine was irregular in the family, he was quiet, soft-spoken, and generally emotionless. At the age of eight, he had already grasped the fact that his parents' didn't care for him or his sister, so he had to take care of her. She was two years younger after all. The maids and butlers of the house helped him learn to be a proper noble, how to cook, general knowledge. They taught Shadow as well obviously, but half the time she would skip, and the other half she would barely pay attention.

When Raiine turned ten he overheard something that would change not just his life, but his sisters as well. The family was going broke. It was to be expected, the outrageous spending his parents did was simply too much for that of small nobility. But they weren't going to go broke, because they had been offered an insurmountable amount of wealth, at the price of their children.

They, of course, agreed without hesitation, he didn't expect anything less.

They were taken away.

They didn't know where.

They didn't know why.

They found out...

They were subject to awful tests, drugs, poisons, physical and mental torture.

Raiine wouldn't have been able to stay sane, nobody would have, nobody except Shadow. Despite her exhaustion, despite how much pain she would be in at the end of every day, she would still try and cheer Raiine up. The one sense of normalcy that kept him from going over the deep end

6 years passed. Their bodies are almost numb to the torture now, not that they don't feel it, but after all the drugs and strange experiments, it certainly hurt less.

Through a cloudy mind of half-conscious, Raiine heard things.

"Sh- dy- fi-al test"

"Are -- re?"

"Yes, she is finally ready."

"Alright bring her in, make sure he's still out"

He continued to act unconscious, they had underestimated his immunity to the drug and not made it strong enough, he had heard.

5 knocked out guards, three traps disabled, he finally found the room her sister was being held in for her final test. Hooked up to tubes, wires, and many weird markings that surrounded her body that traveled down the floor, she hardly looked human anymore.

He smashed on the door, she didn't know, what they were trying to accomplish here.

They were trying to weaponize the soul.

The scientists looked away to the door, but that proved to be a mistake. Everything started to glow. Raiine finally smashed down the door, only to be blown back by the force of white light the came from Shadow.

Bleeding, broken, barely able to even stand, Raiine moved to where his sister once was. There was no trace of the scientists.

No trace of the machine.

All that was left, was a small silver chain, with all the strange markings from before.

Raiine could feel her, her soul.

He donned the chain around his neck, tears slowly dropping to the floor, he hobbled out of the ruined facility.

Four years later we find Raiine.

Not a very tall fellow, standing at around 5'9 (around 180 cm). Gone was the soft-spoken noble of Revel. What we now have is a confident, self-trained, smarmy, lazy, lithe, and lean twenty-year-old odd jobs man, doing anything from grocery shopping to mercenary work, anything to make the coin to travel around, in search of a way to free his sisters' soul, so that she can have the chance to move on.

-----------------------------------------------------------

Name: Raiine (Formerly Raiine Revel)

Age: 21

Height: 180cm

Weight: 85kg

Build: Lean muscle that's built for core strength but within reason. Tends to go with speed and agility over brute force, but he's not above going that route if push comes to shove

Weaponry: The silver chain around his neck can turn into a simple-looking curved dagger, 11 inches long without the curve, it has a simple black grip but strange markings cover it from blade to grip, stretching on his hand when he uses it. Being a weapon of his sisters' soul, it is indestructible and tied to his soul so it can't be taken off his neck or from his hand. However it may be stronger and sharper than most, it certainly isn't able to slice through well-made weaponry or armour, nor will it stop him from feeling a particularly hard blow if he blocks with it.

It can also turn into a violin, the use of which soothes him and removes foreign energies or magicks from his system.

Style: Raiine is completely self-taught, although a skilled fighter nonetheless, he mainly relies on his speed and perception of others' movements to win. Using that keen sense of observation, Raiine finds himself picking up things very quickly, usually using an enemy's move against them, although a rather butchered version unless practiced.

He also enjoys bluff and mind games if he feels like he's out of his league, or if he's too bored to put the effort in.

TL;DR: A skilled fighter that mainly uses speed and trickery to gain the upper hand. He doesn't mind fighting but prefers finding other ways around it for less effort on his part.
