When they return to Lani's apartment, WonPil is nowhere to be found. The only hint left behind is a laptop with a video stopped on the face of SulBang with a fairly older man and a crying woman in the background. In the parking lot of an abandoned rest stop on the highway.
Only one of WonPil's backpacks is still there and the backpack in question looks much lighter than it used to.

The laptop tells pretty clearly that SulBang lured WonPil into a trap and that WonPil charged into it… with heavy weapons.
When the others arrive to the place, there is, of course, a mess going. Shootings worse than in the far west, between SulBang, WonPil and that unknown older man.
