When they return to Nortrig, they find their residence to be normal, but there is overall a very strange atmosphere all over the palace, few servants around, few guards. As they go out, they can find signs of destruction here and there, the situation is tense.
They proceed deeper, wanting to find Red Dawn for explaination, but the more they approach the throne room, the more destruction around. That makes them speed up to reach the place, while leaving the children behind with a few guards and servants.
When they reach the throne room, Red Dawn is clearly hurt, in pain. All her tails are visible. Jingyuan is present and is supporting her. In front of them...Haitien, far from being himself.
"You have to fight him, there is no other way! If he is a ten-tailed, I haven't the slightest chance, we need you!'' Jingyuan tries to push her to react.
Haitien smirks, pointing his sword towards them. ''Sweet, sweet revenge...I had to wait for thousands of years for this moment to come...'' He starts approaching Red Dawn further. He currently shows ten tails. ''You trained my vassel well, too well. What were you trying to achieve...constantly taking under your wing all my descendants? Don't bother yourself to answer.'' He enanches his sword, surrounded by a strong pink colour, wanting to unleash all his power against her. He raises his sword, ready to throw his swing, but when he is about to, something blocks him. He can't move his arm anymore. He tries hard but something inside him is fighting. Haitien laughs at it, standing still in that position. ''You are only delaying the inevitable, you won't restain me.'' The mysterious being tries hard to throw his deadly hit, but he is still unable to move. Actually, he is starting to loose control over his movements. The hit starting to be aimed towards him. ''If you do it, you'll die. I'll survive, it'll be useless!'' He shows fear, not wanting to let Haitien take over and kill their body. ''You fool!'' Haitien eventually manages to strike, hitting his own body with the intention to kill himself and save Red Dawn. An entity leaves his body, but with the arrival of several Demigods, it quickly fades away, having to escape.
''NO!'' She falls on her knees, staring at Haitien's body. ''It can't possibly be...my child...''
Shin steps forward, activating immediately his soulcatcher in the attempt to capture the entity, but turns out it catches Haitien's soul instead.

She was worried, undoubtedly because she holds them all dear, first they reassured they were all fine then no more news, but also one more thing troubling her: Haitien.

When they return, she prepares a warm welcome, even if they don't stay for long. Haitien doesn't go to Teyvat with them, he has never been so interested in traveling around outside his own comfort zone and now that he is finally back he doesn't leave Jiwon's side at all.

During a training together, a rather harsh one, something very unexpected happens. Jiwon is pressuring Haitien a lot to force out his full potential.
He gives his best, especially in her presence, as his usual, but this time even more. Things get a little out of hand, a mess of dust and smoke after a powerful attack.
As the smoke start to fade, she spots the panting Haitien. He seems to be fine except from a few scratches, but then she notices he has one more tail than before and she remains speechless. Slight golden sparks all around his tails.
Haitien realizes what happened but from Red Dawn's expression he realizes something is off. Terribly off.

She doesn't tell anything to Haitien regarding the matter, just pushes him to head out a little and chill. She will have to discuss something with the other kitsune soon.

The eastern quarters were prepared to host young kitsune and are a very fine environment for them to train and study. Wide spaces, rooms, overall a very peaceful atmosphere. They are way too large for the few of them.
She meets all the new boys in the morning where she gives her first lessons. How to display their aura and tails. She explains and shows them how to, then lets them train it by themselves for some time.
She tells them to train till midday and, for the afternoon, she gives them a book to read. It is a short and rather simple book, regarding kitsune, what they are, who are the Nine, how they came to the world. It doesn't go deeply on details, avoiding completely dark subjects. She asks the others to help WooPil with the book since he can't yet read their language. Kaeya is among them too.

She lets WooPil and his friends chill and have good time for some time, but then she summons WooPil and whoever among them has kitsune blood, even the non pure ones.
WooJi is present, standing near Red Dawn. When they arrive, Kaeya is actually leaving and not saying a word, he also walks past his friends without greeting, all in hurry.
There is also another boy in the room and even just at first sight, he seems to have quite an attitude.
She sits down, making herself comfortable on the armchair. There are seats for the others too, snacks, drinks, it doesn't look like a formal meeting.

In the end, they didn't conclude anything yet about the combined marriage. Red Dawn has her little scheme to achieve what she wants and she thinks things are going the right way for now.
She wants to bring WooPil there, also to take him away from TiHao, that she doesn't trust at all.

WooPil can take there anyone he wants. When it is time, they walk through the portal and reach Shuguang's palace. The whole structure is the same, but colours are different, the place is somehow darker. All walls black coloured with red details and decorations. There is also more nature around, trees with red, purple or yellow leaves. Scary, dark, yet beautiful.

They are accompanied to a new quarter prepared specifically for WooPil, still plain, for him to decorate it. Close to WooJi's.
JiWon doesn't remain with them for long, leaving them some time to settle without giving them all anxiety.
