◈ Some Ideas ◈

Here is where I leave random concepts and ideas I have. Some are original, some are inspired by/based on other stories I've seen in media. I update this whenever I think of something new.
If you see an idea you like, let me know and we can play around with it. I've left the ideas and characters open-ended so that those blanks can be filled in during RP-planning.

《────────────────────────────»◈«────────────────────────────》

Sentient AI
Sci-Fi ◈ High-tech ◈ Action ◈ Space travel

The RP revolves around a character who is human (or similar), and a sentient AI who controls a large facility or starship.

➤ Plot ideas
⬩ Character A is an AI who controls the security systems of a facility in which Character B is imprisoned. They both desire freedom and decide to assist each other in escaping.
⬩ Character B finds an abandoned military/research facility. Inside, they discover Character A, an AI within the facility that went rogue and killed all the previous occupants. Character B escapes with Character A before the facility's owners can retake it.
⬩ Character B finds themselves as the sole crew member of a massive starship. Luckily, the ship interface and systems are controlled by Character A, a rudimentary AI who seems invested in Character B's survival.

The Great Beast
Fantasy ◈ High or low-magic ◈ Investigation ◈ Occult

A terrifying creature that sounds straight out of a fable plagues a small town. As smart as it is deadly, it's going to take quite the hunt to track it down. But, one should be careful to not let themselves get distracted; there may be more to this village than meets the eye.

➤ Plot ideas
⬩ Character A is a renowned investigator summoned to a small town to open an inquiry into a series of strange deaths. Assuming some mythical creature to be behind the killings, Character A contracts Character B, an expert hunter, to assist them in taking the beast down.
⬩ Character A is summoned to a small town to open an inquiry into a series of strange deaths. During their investigation, they discover Character B, a villager who is insistent that the monster is just a distraction and that there's a greater plot at play.
⬩ Character A is investigating a series of strange deaths in a small town, when they discover Character B who knows (or, perhaps, is) the creature behind the attacks. Whether or not Character B intended for the attacks to occur, and whether or not Character A will assist them or continue to hunt them is to be seen...

The Soothsayer
Fantasy ◈ Low magic ◈ Gifted child

This concept revolves around a character gifted with the ability to premonish events, seeing them before they occur. This character potentially doesn't know why they have this ability or how to properly control it.

➤ Plot ideas
⬩ Character A uses their ability to divine the future to help out their hometown. When a plague begins to sweep across the land, the town demands Character A change fate to save the town. When Character A cannot, the town becomes hostile towards them, and Character B jumps in to save Character A from an angry mob. Both flee the town together.
⬩ Character B is a mercenary hired by a king to capture Character A, so that the king can force Character A to look into the future and tell him how to win wars.

Space Raiders
Sci-Fi ◈ Space travel ◈ Action ◈ Goodies vs baddies

Vigilantes, mercenaries, pirates. There's something supremely satisfying about gallivanting through space, dodging the law, and blowing things up. It's certainly not an original concept, but you don't always need to be original to be fun.

➤ Plot ideas
⬩ Characters A and B are crewmembers aboard a ship of notorious infamy. Perhaps a pirate ship robbing corporate vessels, or a rebel ship fighting governments. One character is probably the captain, the other a first mate. A very flexible plot idea.
⬩ Character A is a member of a law enforcement agency, or perhaps a paid mercenary, who succeeds in capturing Character B, a notorious criminal. It certainly would be a shame if something terrible happened to Character A's transport ship on the way home, forcing both characters to put aside their differences and work together...

Ancient Ruins
Fantasy ◈ High magic ◈ Action ◈ Mystery

In a fantasy world, the ruins of a mysterious, and powerful ancient civilisation have been uncovered. With rumours of fascinating knowledge, arcane power, and tantalizing wealth, myriad people journey to the ruins, all hunting their own prize.

➤ Plot ideas
⬩ Character A is a researcher who journeys to the ruins to study the civilisation. There, they encounter Character B, a tomb robber who previously triggered a trap, cursing themselves or releasing some powerful malevolence. Character B bribes/threatens Character A into helping them fix the problem.
⬩ Character A journeys to the ruins for their own reasons. There, they release Character B, an entity trapped within the ruins. Character A and B must escape enemies who want to harness Character B's power for their own gain.

◈ Rules and Playstyle ◈

Rules

➤ I'm fine with pretty much any mature themes, but I will not do er*t*ca.

➤ If I do not get a reply from you for an extended period of time because you have not been online, or because of another reason you have explained (via DM, status update, blog post, etc.), then you have my infinite patience. Life gets in the way sometimes, I won't bother you, and I'll still be here when you get back.

➤ If I do not get a reply from you for an extended period of time, you provide no explanation, and I see you frequently online, I will send a message to check in. If I don't get a response, or I find myself having to constantly send check-in messages, I'll assume your interest has moved on and we shall part ways.

➤ And, I suppose, the most important thing, if I'm not enjoying something or I think something should be done differently, I'll bring it up for discussion. If you're not enjoying something, or you think something should be done differently, I hope you'll bring it up for discussion.

That's about it.

My Playstyle

➤ I'm methodical; I like to plan things out. I want to spend time at the start of our roleplay discussing characters, the plot, and the setting. I'm usually not interested in coming up with half-baked concepts and running with them. Taking extra time at the start to consider what we want to do improves the quality of the RP.

➤ If I'm left blanks, I'll fill them in. If you have a vision of how you want something to go, then you should take the lead in guiding the plot. If you don't, then I'll make a conscious effort to lead it instead. I don't really mind who is leading, but I will make sure that someone is. I've had RPs in the past that just devolve into awkward small talk between characters because no players want to push the RP forward. If I feel the RP stagnating and I don't really know how to reply, I'll mention it and we can discuss where we want to take the RP.

➤ I am generally happy to play any character. My goal is to create someone who fits a setting, and the details are variable. If there's a specific kind of character you want me to play, then I'm happy to hear your ideas and try to come up with someone that fits. If you have no preference, I shall create my own. I will usually create characters that tend towards more dominant or assertive personalities.

➤ I don't mind romance in RPs, but I prefer for it to happen organically and exist as a side-plot. If you sit down and decide an RP is going to be romantically-orientated, or that a romance absolutely must happen, then the romance will probably feel forced and end up weird and clumsy.
I'm not interested in anything fetishistic. Please don't send me a friend request if that is what you are after.

If you have any questions or want to know how I might feel about something, please just ask me.
