Mariana

//Will be updated soon enough with more when I get better ideas - rough sketch of her character :)

Name: Mariana

Age: 18

Species: Neko

Likes: Sweets, adventures, books, night, and cuddles

Dislikes: People who hurt others and think highly of themselves, being useless and bitter things.

Background: Mariana was born as a half breed, her father being a neko and her mother being a human. She was born with pure black hair with small black cat ears and a tail, their parents were happy, but society wasn’t so accepting like them. Even though there are those that do there are many that don’t and always made fun of her and picked on her for it. However, throughout time as she grew older she discovered that she can change her form to be a complete human, just like her father could. With that the family moved away to another country to start a new life, as humans. Life has been quiet with Mariana going to school like any other normal girl, no one knows of her secret and she doesn’t plan to show it to anyone in fear of being picked on again or bullied. Though Mariana loved being a neko so she only allowed herself to be in that form within her house or if she was somewhere away from other humans.

Bio: Mariana is a quiet girl, at first, she might seem like she doesn’t care about anything and cold but that is the opposite of who she truly is. She has trust issues with people and that is the result of her coldness towards them though once she finds someone that she truly trusts and cares about then she loves them with all of her heart. She is kind and caring, but also hard-working and dedicated. She is quite open minded and doesn’t tend to judge things too quickly. She is always willing to risk her life to protect the ones she loves against any danger.

Matilda Knightwalker

Name: Matilda Knightwalker

Age: 18

Likes: Swords, helping people, justice, reading, sweets, spending time alone, training to get stronger and travelling.

Dislikes: Injustice, those that hurt the innocent, being weak, people who believe and act like know it all and believe they are the best and treat others as lowlifes.

Background: Ever since she could remember, Matilda's father was a knight that protected the people in the kingdom, his home. This fact alone was what got her interested in the Knighthood. From a young age she had always looked up to her father and took an interest in swordsmanship, at first her father was against her becoming a knight and learning how to fight with a sword, fact that she was a woman and the only person that he had left. However, Matilda didn't let that bring her down and she continued to beg for her father to teach her, which eventually he ended up giving in to her and taught her everything that she knows to this day. Matilda was able to learn all the tactics and strategies quite quickly as well as how to fight with a sword and defend herself. As the years passed she grew stronger, both physically and mentally, her fighting skills grew rather quickly which surprised even her father.

At the age of 14 she managed to join into the army for the kingdom and learnt to further improve her skills. Whenever she had the chance she would fight all kind of people, this way she was able to observe all type of styles that people had, eventually coming up with her own style that suited her best. As two years passed by she became strong enough to become a knight and joined her father's side, that way she could spend more time with him than she did in her childhood, not one day passed by where she wouldn't train and keep trying to improve her skills so her father would feel proud of her. She enjoyed helping people in need and making them happy, that was her lifetime goal, to bring smiles to people's faces and to make them feel comfortable and protected in their own society. Matilda also helped out in training new recruits from time to time, helping them improve and always doing her best to keep her morale up.

One day though, her father was sent off on a mission that he wouldn't really talk about, and she didn't try to get the information from him as she understood that sometimes it was best not to know. However, as time went by and her father did not return and she began to grow worried whilst all kind of thoughts went through her mind. Eventually her fears were realized when the knights returned all wounded and her father was nowhere to be found. Matilda asked around but no one gave her a straight answer or avoided the question, just from their actions alone she knew he was gone which impacted her quite badly for some time. She became rather distant for awhile, yet she couldn't bring herself to be sad forever, she paid her respects for her father as well as her hero and from those days she swore to her father that she would continue his duties and do her best to protect everyone the best that she could, never giving up, even if it meant throwing her life away for others. She kept that promise and continued to improve, eventually her hard work paid off as she was accepted into one of the higher ranks of Knights, taking her father's place but she wasn't going to stop there, one of her other dreams was to become strong enough that she would be accepted into the Elite.

Bio: Matilda can be surprisingly shy and quiet at points as well as strange, keeping to herself and never showing that she may be upset or feeling out of place. However, for the best of others she tends to be quite happy and energetic so others wouldn't worry about her as she understands that they may have their own problems and therefore doesn't want to add her own upon their shoulders. She is very determined and stays focussed on her goals, she is also a very open minded person, taking all type of possibilities in and figuring out which may be the best option. She cares deeply about her comrades and is happy to risk her own health if it meant that they wouldn't get hurt, though she would not allow herself to get hurt that badly, more like a chance for them to run away, though she also has accepted the fact that perhaps one day she could not run from a battle which could result to a death match. Other than that she is quite intelligent and is willing to learn new information of all sorts, as knowledge can be quite powerful at times.

Azumi

Name: Azumi

Age: 18

Likes: Adventure, the paranormal, reading, sweets, nature, and she enjoys the night.

Dislikes: Injustice, people that believe they are the best and hurt others for their own enjoyment, weakness, sunsets and evil entities that do unimaginable damage to the world.

Weapons

Scythe: This is her main weapon, it was created using a special material that purifies and can do damage to beings that do not belong in this world. From time to time she would take this weapon to a shrine and cleanses it with holy water when she believes it is necessary. The reason for that is, when it cuts down something out of this world, the being is purified however, the weapon consumes the evil in order for the entity to become pure and move on, if mishandled then the owner will be taken over by all the evil and there would be no return. This weapon also allows and helps innocent ghosts pass on to the afterlife. When the weapon is not in use, it shrinks to a small enough cylinder shape so the owner can carry it without any problems at all times.

Coins: These coins are extremely rare, (currently in possession of only 4 + description of all 4 and images shall be provided throughout the roleplay) there are not many out there to begin with and they can be quite dangerous if the person does not have the power that's necessary to handle it. Each coin possesses a certain fighting spirit, not one is stronger than another they tend to be equal in strength and even if you come into possession of a coin it does not mean that you are automatically its owner. The spirit of the coin will only fight alongside the person if they believe they are worthy of their power and only then will they make a contract. However, the strength limits to how powerful the owner of the coins are, this law was created in the spirit world due to how many could not handle the spirits full potential and disintegrated into nothing. All in all, the stronger that the owner becomes the stronger the coins turn out to be as well.

Background: From a very young age Azumi could always see entities that did not belong with the living, not only see but she had the ability to communicate with them as well. Whenever a ghost appeared she would always treat it like any other human being, she would talk with them and try to play with them as well. Azumi would then go up to her parents and tell all the kind of things she had learned from the conversations she had with them. At first her parents just took it as a joke and didn't pay much attention to it but they began to grow worried when they would hear her talking to 'herself' as they could not see them, and when she would say that she is going out to play with them but there was no one ever there to their eyes. Her parents always did their best to ignore the situation but when Azumi started school it just began to get out of hand. She would continue doing her usual, talking with them, playing, drawing things for them and that began to creep out the other students in her class and even the teacher. Azumi always tended to get in trouble due to the situation, being sent to the principle many times. It got to the point where she was made to move school but as it continued the parents just took her away from that life and decided to home-school her. Many of the children and adults in the area knew Azumi as a freak and in all honesty when talking about her that is what they called her and other nasty things. Azumi simply couldn't understand why this was all happening when she was talking with people that she actually did see, until she learnt that she actually talked with people that were 'non-existent' to the living. However, even after that it was too late for her to turn back and truly she didn't want too since she enjoyed being with them and learning so many things that other people didn't know.

Then on the fateful day, it was her 10th birthday and her parents threw a party for her, yet no one really came by because they were scared of them, at least none of the living. The only living there was her with the parents and the rest were all the dead. The parents tried contacting the rest of the family and did their best to get them to come but all refused. Azumi just smiled at them and told them not to worry since all her friends were here, she just cut the cake and gave it to "no one". At that point her father just cracked and screamed at her, saying that she had gone mad and that there is no one there and there never was. Her mother just couldn't take it anymore either, therefore, the next day they grabbed Azumi and sent her off to the closest Asylum that was in the area. After signing the papers and explaining, a few men came to Azumi and grabbed her, taking her away from her parents as she called out to them, feeling rather scared about what was happening. Her normal clothing was taken from her and replaced with white shorts and a white restraint jacket, before she knew it she was already thrown into a white room and the doors became locked.

Time ticked as days, weeks, months, and years went by, not once did her parents come to see her or anyone else. The dead continued to visit her and she talked with them, getting updates about the outside world, but as the time kept going on she began to lose her sanity in the white room. Azumi began to wonder if what she saw was really there, if what she heard from them was actually real, but as it continued she began to believe that all of it was just made up from her own mind and that she truly had been insane from the very beginning, that she was normal but the sanity of her mind corrupted her and destroyed everything. Eventually she completely broke down and gave up on everything, even life itself, it got to the point where she wouldn't care if she gave her soul up to the devil, as long as it meant that she could disappear from this world.

It then became the day where she became 16 years old, though after spending 6 years locked up in that one room it was just like any other typical day. Though something weird happened to her on that day, for the first time ever a strange man in black clothing appeared in front of her that she has never seen before, but due to his sudden appearance she just looked away, figuring it was her imagination. Though she was wrong, the man knelt down next to her and put his hand on her shoulder which made her flinch since she had forgotten how it felt after getting no attention from anyone. Out of fright she moved to the very edge of the room and shook uncontrollably due to the fear, but the man just smiled sweetly at her and was patient, eventually due to his characteristics she calmed down but didn't approach him but was willing to listen to him. It took some time but he had explained about a organisation that dealt with the special cases of the dead, and with her special talent he wanted to recruit her into the organisation and teach her how to fight against the evil in the world and be a protector of the living. At first she refused considering what the living had done to her, they betrayed her, did not believe her and all the rest, so why should she protect them? Though she thought about it more and eventually agreed to help the man, as it meant that she could get away from this place once and for all, another reason was that, even though the people in her area treated her like a monster there were people out there that could be grateful for what she possesses and therefore she was willing to give the world that chance.

Two years then passed from the day that the man came and gave her a new meaning and a life. She has grown to accept that she was different and had learnt everything from the very beginning once again. Azumi travels around the world, protecting people from the evil that appears in the world and helps those pass on that can't do it by themselves. She has grown stronger from the past 2 years and already has two weapons of her own that she uses, she doesn't miss her past life one bit and she had never went to visit her parents either, it was better off that they thought she was dead.

Bio: Azumi is a quiet shy girl and she tends to keep to herself after all that she had experienced, not being able to truly trust anyone as much as she trusts the man (leader of the organisation) that saved her from the very depths of hell, she only listens to him and only follows his orders. Even though she was locked up in the one room for so long she is quite intellectual, as she had learnt a lot from the spirits that had helped her through the harsh times. At points she could be rather cold and harsh towards others but it is only because she is scared that if they got close they would then get scared and run away, even if it's the people from the organisation, same as her she still has that fear within that they will abandon her at some point. Though if you get past that she is a really warm and kind person within, she likes helping out people and making them happy, she is willing to sacrifice her life for others if it is worth it.

Kirome

Name: Kirome

Nickname: Phantom

Age: 18

Likes: Night, Moon, justice, reading, sweets, being alone, swords, and nature.

Dislikes: Those that think they know everything when they don't, people that hurt the weak and find enjoyment from it, doesn't like being weak herself, especially dislikes those that think highly of themselves. She also dislikes injustice.

Background: Years ago when Kirome was only 6 years old her parents had given her away to a secret organisation that worked for the Kingdom. They were running low on money and the Kingdom had provided them with the money as it was what they desired most but had to give away their daughter for it. Without hesitation that is what they did, and just like that Kirome was taken away. Later on, Kirome came to understand that the organisation were training children to become assassins for the Kingdom. Very little knew about this organisation, it was mainly known by the King and certain people that work for him, which he chose himself to give that information. Kirome didn't know how much in total there were but there seemed to be around 80 children or more along side of her. They were put through a lot of harsh tests, most of them being life or death situations. Many that fought alongside of her died on those tests and in the end not more than 10 had survived. After the tests the ones that had survived were put through many experiments, finding ways on how to make them stronger than an average human. Around 4 of the children died during them from the shock, and their hearts simply couldn't take it.

Throughout the next few years many had died in front of Kirome as she continued to go throughout the hellish training, doing everything in order to survive even if it meant killing others. Eventually, the leader of the organisation was satisfied and impressed by Kirome's progress and was accepted into his new Elite Assassin Squad and from there on was trained further in the arts of espionage and combat, becoming a highly effective killer. Kirome was given a katana, known to be one of the strongest katanas in existence with a few others. After a long period of training, Kirome with the other members of the squad were given their first mission. Kirome was sent off to kill Shena, believed to be a spy who worked for people that were against the Kingdom. This was done in order to test her resolve as the leader believed she was too kind for their purposes. Before being taken away by the Organisation Shena was one of her closest friends. Kirome met up with Shena and led her away from the village, determined to prove that Shena was innocent. Shena denied the claim that she was a spy and then Kirome began to leave, proving to herself that the information the squad leader gave was false. However, the moment she turned her back then Shena used the chance to try kill her. Understanding that the information was not false Kirome then cuts her down and Shena died by Kirome's blade and by a tearful Kirome. Kirome then returned to the organisation with Shena's head, proving her resolve. From there on Kirome had never failed a mission that the organisation had given her and eventually was given the nickname 'Phantom' as she tended to kill them off quickly, sometimes not giving people the chance to even know or understand that they had just been killed. However, at some point after many of her comrades' deaths, she became dissatisfied and resentful against the Kingdoms government. It wasn't until she had learnt of the corruption in the Kingdom that she then left the Squad and sided with other rebels. From there on she lives her life by assassinating diplomats and higher classed people that are full of corruption, some of the assassinations come from people who had gained that information and asked for her help.

Bio: Kirome is a quiet type of girl, she can sometimes appear as a very serious and cold hearted person which stems from her hellish training that the kingdom had forced on her. However, deep inside she is nothing but a kind and sweet hearted girl. She does care about her comrades very much. She can also be at points socially awkward but she does her best to help people out any way she can. Kirome also tends to be alone most of the time, trying to not get close to anyone because she fears that one day they might leave or end up getting killed, especially if they find out who she is. She understands the consequences those people will face when the Kingdom finds out they were close to an enemy. When it comes to her assassin side she never shows any emotions and when she is set on killing the person that needs to be killed she will do it with no hesitation and failure isn't an option. If she does fail for whatever reason, it won't be the end, she will return to assassinate that person without a doubt. Kirome never shows any mercy to her enemies and tends to say out "eliminate" and "consign" to show them the lack of mercy she has but also to strengthen her resolve to kill them.
