My Band, My Rules (READ THESE RULES)

First and foremost, great to meet you :) You can call me Riley and that's totally not a coincidence considering the playby being used right now lolol. Alright so if you don't satisfy any of the requirements below or think I'm your cup of tea, perfect. RPs being cut short are always better early than later when it becomes clear things are actually one sided.

Please read on and shoot me the password if I do accept your friend request!

#1. I put out what I'm given, so if you want details, you must be able to give it. I get carried away with length on most days but in terms of style, I lean towards 'verisimilitude', keeping it realistic like the scene is unfolding right before us, authentic dialogue and setting and all.

#2. Don't ghost me. Nothing irks greater than putting effort and your partner just basically bins that and sets the bin on fire. If you can't hold up your end of this partnership, let's not meet at all. Not picky about writers, I'm picky about THE COMMITMENT.

#3. My turnaround time is two weeks at most, I reply mostly within 3 days. I can wait four weeks for a response which includes our conversational/plotting replies! No biggie on attending to real life first, as you should, all I want for us is to have communication and teamwork going on. I now realise rule #2 made me seem a bit high maintenance LOL.

#4. --wip, currently getting bitten by a procrastination bug

--Helena Ingram's archived bio--

To say that Lena was an odd child growing up would be an understatement. From the day she was born, she could hear whispers of a voice from deep within. Listening was always far more interesting than speaking, especially if one has always got something to listen to. Soon the voice drove her to hone her skills, often until the point where she would lose consciousness. The girl grew to be quiet like the grave, speaking only when needed to and whenever punished, she never screamed.

Her silence was broken when her brother came to be. His existence managed to draw Lena out of the developing prison of her mind. For as long as he was around her, the strident roaring against her mental museum became mere whispers. Forever seared into her brain were dark relics that came in the form of trauma scars, never to heal, only to be carried, but thankfully, there was a will in her that fought off episodes of the greatest of the hallucinations, no matter how nebulous the line between fiction and reality for the little girl became.

It felt like then she could completely gag it. When their parents ceased being an issue, the siblings took to exploring the world together. Built a legacy of a band -- of sorts. He had always called Lena a 'thoughtful composer', and when she put her lyrics into execution, an angelic voice. Until the day came when she lost him forever.

Nearly a century after his death, still desperately latching onto the strands of her humanity, Lena experienced another loss. The circumstances of this one forever changing the vampire who still had not learned her lesson. That hope.. is a sham. A travesty. And that one day she would be stripped of it all, left in the esoteric darkness with only the plague inside her head for company.
