He remained with the Astral Express for a while, as he didn't find it possible to go back yet, after his identity had been made public in Shuguang.
Life in space, though, really wasn't his thing and he felt the need to return to land. And they were kind enough to take him back to Nortrig.
Since the only place he knows is Shuguang, that's where he headed when he returned, just to take a look at the situation.
The apartment where he was living with Jingyuan had been raided by people who hate MianBao and they even set fire to it, while they were away.
He kind of found it a bad sign.
Plus, without HaiTien, the store where he was working is gone. He doesn't know where Jingyuan went and how to contact him. In the end, he decided to take the only possible decision: leave Shuguang.
Everyone used to tell him that Lianxi was a good place for Nimox, so he guesses that's his best option. He is scared to death, he has no other choice.
After the sun sets, he turns into a bunny and goes through the portal to Guyun, in order to pass unnoticed.
Due to the fact he has nothing left and he couldn't bring his clothes, he was forced to steal an outfit. (He took one top from a house and a pants from another, to reduce the damages.)
The only thing he managed to drag with him was a big hat, that he wears on his head. It doesn't fully cover his ears, but he hopes that it makes them less noticeable and also that it's less eye-catching than the weird stuff he used to cover them with before.
After walking for a while, despite the light rain that is much less harsh thanks to Cyno's mood improvement, he sits on a bench near the palace and just aims to spend the night there.

KiNo and her really are best friends. Although the other might have approached and befriended her for other reasons, he is still a good friend for her.
One of the reasons why Nomori is leaving her alone and not try to get her under her wing with the other nogitsune is simple: Sakura is quite a friendly girl, who travels a lot, hears many things and talks without any restraints. Totally the kind of person one can't entrust a secret to, because she'd realise to have revealed it only when it's too late. XD
Since Sakura isn't associated with Nomori, she isn't considered an "enemy" by others, so usually she doesn't meet with any limitations or mistrust from other Nine-Tailed. Also since Sakura is objectively a good person, just weird.
And that's where KiNo enters the scene. When they meet, Sakura tells him practically every single thing that happened to her in the time they didn't meet. When there are juicy information, KiNo promptly reports them to his mom, Nomori herself. A perfect team. XD

Huodong is the land of Chaos and Strength, misunderstandings and brawl are at the order of the day, but sometimes things can escalate badly.
The morning after the party, what started off as a fight among a couple of people turned into a massive brawl where half of the people of Huodong start to fight each others. All that right at the time that most guests are leaving the place, through the new portal that connects Huodong to Lianxi, only, for now.
The portal happens to be right in front of the chaos portal, since they are completely different and nobody could ever get mistaken. Naturally, a place like Huodong would never think to add like… a fence to prevent people from getting close to a portal that could lead to their own death, they believe in natural selection.
And while the guests are leaving by the portal, a group at a time, the brawl reaches even that location. Chan, and whoever was close enough to him, end up pushed right through the Chaos portal, with no chance to cling to something to avoid falling inside.

Now that XinLan's reign of terror came to an end, they all can finally return to their lives. People of Huodong are brought back to their ancestral homeland and everything seems to be back to normal.
Now that there is a new king on the throne of Xingxi, one who has even been in Huodong for a while, Su Yang is more well predisposed to accept some contact and a possible alliance with Xingxi. He does if mostly for the sake of not causing more troubles to Hudie and his family though.
To celebrate the whole new "friendship", Yang decides to invite some outsides — friends — to the traditional festival they have in Huodong in this period. Like every festival they have, it's all about meat, brawls and alcohol.
There are many food stands, the main square is decorated with lantern and paper arts and there are multiple tournaments going on: food challenges, drinking contests and fights. Everything one would expect from Huodong people having fun.

First he goes to Huodong, where he can get in touch with his lieutenants and know that their people followed the protocol and went to their safe island. Some of their strongest fighters went out to look for XinLan and there are no news from them.
After giving some orders to his people, he goes to check on Lianxi city, to see if the situation there is quiet. He doesn't teleport inside but outside the gates, in the woods where Itto is camping. By case, he appears on Itto himself, in some awkward way.
