Frens

Now that XinLan's reign of terror came to an end, they all can finally return to their lives. People of Huodong are brought back to their ancestral homeland and everything seems to be back to normal.
Now that there is a new king on the throne of Xingxi, one who has even been in Huodong for a while, Su Yang is more well predisposed to accept some contact and a possible alliance with Xingxi. He does if mostly for the sake of not causing more troubles to Hudie and his family though.

To celebrate the whole new "friendship", Yang decides to invite some outsides — friends — to the traditional festival they have in Huodong in this period. Like every festival they have, it's all about meat, brawls and alcohol.
There are many food stands, the main square is decorated with lantern and paper arts and there are multiple tournaments going on: food challenges, drinking contests and fights. Everything one would expect from Huodong people having fun.

Tiao "It is powerful and it is also the reason why I don't share any information about myself." But he is also a bit obsessed. What would people even do about his real age or name.
He thinks it is likely the second, but avoids to share his knowledge.

Hudie stands up and leaves as TiHao understands him right away. XD Just in time to avoid Yan pouring wine on him.

Yan. "Oh come on..." He drinks his wine, mentally swearing.

"It was more for the sake of conversation than else. How are your people, Xiao and QiQi?
Come over in a bit, anyway. The bard of the king will have a little show." Bring money!!
"It is a new beginning for them. Many people died and the threat is finally gone."

Zhao. "You have a point, at least...I can't help but worry, they are friends and if I was even to blame for his being sick, I would feel terrible."

Blu «You are right to do so. The less people know about you, the less they will come to bother you. It's a win-win situation for you.»
Eventually the servant finds him and escorts him to the table where Zhao went to sit.

TiHao. «Tell me I am right without saying I'm right», he comments, as Hudie leaves.
«They are as good as they can be, I guess. It's hard to tell, given their particularities…» Especially with Xiao, QiQi is even too talkative about her feelings.
«I am not interested in any bard show. I will send the kids, they might enjoy.»
He shrugs. «It changes nothing to me. XinLan wouldn't mess up with me.»

Hoseok. «They could have never known you would join your friends to eat at their table. Don't worry, if the other boy said it's allergy, there must have been some previous events that led him to that conclusion.» He sighs.

Tiao "It has...high and lows, as it becomes extremely lonely, at the end of the day." He shrugs. "It is the price to pay for lots of power and richness."
He watches Hudie leave and snorts at his words. "He did it and well. He is a clever boy, it is a shame he is so reckless and doesn't use his head."
He moves his gaze on QiQi and Xiao. "You have an interesting group of people here.
They can come with me, when it is time. I hope he sobered up." Otherwise the show might be even better.
"It changes for some of your people, though..."

Zhao. "Shi, you are right." He sighs. "Oh, here's Maehwi! I really hope Chan and WooPil won't miss the show, due to his sickness...I would send Mae to them privately." That could sound awkward.

Blu «Power and richness are good too, they certainly won't end up betraying you at some point. Or turning their back on you, find someone they like better and so on…»

TiHao. «He risks to end up alone. His grandfather should do a better job.» He survived a thousand years only to be able to criticize Lani back.
«They are certainly unique, you won't find some like them easily around.» And yet, there is another one exactly like Xiao at the same party.
«People I barely am at any contact with.»

He bows after arriving to the table. Luckily the food made him sober up a little so he won't cling to Zhao or other awkward and inappropriate things. Unless he drinks again, which he will for sure before the end of the party.
«Have you summoned me, Your Majesty?» He smiles.

Meanwhile, somewhere in the crowd, Xingqiu is teaching the card game he invented to some kids. He even drew the cards himself, but didn't tell his father about it, of course.

Tiao "That's also true, my friend...they will never betray, as long as you keep them close, well hidden, protected." At least from that point of view, he is covered.
He slightly nods at TiHao's words. "Being lonely is not the end of the world, but he is someone that needs other people. He is not fine by himself, he is unable to take care of himself properly, from what I could hear and see.
Are you trying to let him out with other people? He is unique, I agree." He finds Xiao intriguing but hadn't the time to investigate about him.

Zhao. He makes a slight smile at the arrival of Mae. "I hope you are enjoying the party. I also hoped you could delight us with one of your songs! Do you mind? If you have something to do, we can wait a little longer. My friends might come back." He looks in direction of the inn.

Yan. He stands up, starting to wander around. He spots Xingqiu and listens, finding the game interesting. "Let's have a match. Wanna bet?"
