The world was ending if it hadn't been already at this point.

The sudden demon invasion led by King Kukulkan had nearly wiped out the kingdoms of men and demi-humans in nearly a years time. With each desperate battle that the alliance fought, their enemies grew ever stronger with the death and decay that empowered their fatal blows against the dwindling numbers of those who had a chance to stand against them.

But for far too long had the alliance been on the defensive. With naught but a few thousand left to live and with limited time, champions of each race emerged, having fought in each skirmish and surviving to teach the others what they could do.

So with the mutual agreement that this genocide has cost each race too much, the mortals had commanded what remained of their forces and choose those the very best they had to strike back at the dark horde.

Each volunteer knew the risks, knew that the likelihood of coming back was nonexistent and that they would die a violent death. But no matter the warnings against joining this suicide squad, each member raised their arms to fight the demons that had raped their lands of the beauty they once had, killing family or worse, turning them.

They knew what awaited them should they choose to leave the world to burn in the fires of war, knew that they were the only ones who could fight to the bitter end.

But their skills were more than a match for the task ahead. Legends among even heroes of old, these warriors would fight the demons tooth and nail for every inch of hope.

This is the time to make your name known to the world. To have it whispered in every tongue, either in respect or fear.

Will you give your life to the cause or will you die on your knees? That is your choice.
