Knight Light, who slept in the pantry, was awoken quickly by the sound of screaming. He jolted awake, hitting his head against the wall as he did so.
"Owwww," he wined quietly before shoving on his bird mask and jumping out of the pantry, his large light sword extended over his head in preparation for an attack, though all he saw was a very distressed mermasquid smacking a toaster with a spatula. Wait. That was his new spatula!
"AH!!" he screamed in a rather high pitched tone, "What are you doing with Salena the Spatula!! Stop it! You're melting her beautiful face!!" Knight Light dropped in sword in exchange for grabbing the kitchen utensil and attempting to pull it away from Wash Buckler's hands... tentacles... whatever he had.

Knight Light hugged the spatula close to him saying,
"I will never let anyone hurt you again," when it suddenly clicked. There was a fire. In the base. And it was out of control.
"AHHH!!! FIRE! FIRE! FIRE!" the light skylander screeched, his wings flapping desperately only making the fire grow bigger and bigger. At this rate the whole base would burn down in no time.
Down the hall, in a room with below freezing temperatures, Freeze Blade lay asleep. Well not for long. His ears perked up as he heard screams and instantly he was awake, up and skating to the kitchen as fast as he could. Once there he leaped in the air and fired a blast of freezing cold ice at the toaster putting out the flames and coating not only the toaster, but the whole half of the kitchen in ice. The purple cat stood in front of Knight Light, arms crossed and a prideful look in his eyes,
"You're welcome," he purred.
Then Knight Light fainted.

Freeze Blade looked towards the snake, his prankster buddy and answered,
"I guess that would be the most logical explanation. I just heard Knight Light's high pitched screams and came skating out to save the day. Again." There was obvious pride in the cat's voice. Then he looked down at the unconscious feathered hero, lying on the kitchen floor. "Should we put him back to bed or..." Freeze Blade wasn't able to finish before more screaming could be heard coming from the halls.
"AHHH!!! AAAHHHH!!! AAAAHHHHH!!!!" King Pen, the fat, stupid penguin sensei squawked, flippers flying frantically as he waddled into the kitchen. He stumbled on the ice left on the floor and landed butt first on Rattle Shake. For a moment, there was silence before King Pen looked down, "AHH!! AAAHHH!!! SNAKE! THERE'S A SNAKE! HIDEOUS! UGLY! DISGUSTING! SNAAAAAAAAAAKKEEEE!!!" and he jumped off Rattle Shake only to start slapping him with his flippers.

King Pen's eyes were shut tight and his flippers moving aimlessly, he didn't see the serpent leave so he continued his rant, "YOU'RE RACIST, whatever that means, YOU DISGUSTING, SCALY, EEEEEVVVIIIIIIIILLL SNAAAAKKEEEE!! SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!"
Freeze Blade placed a paw on his friend's shoulder, "Hey, King Pen, buddy, the snake's gone. I think it's best you go off to bed now," he said, then skated off down the hall and back to his room.
"Oh." King Pen waddled away, off to his room. Once he entered, he face planted on the floor and instantly fell asleep.
Knight Light was left alone on the floor of the half iced over kitchen.
(TIME SKIP! The next morning)

Knight Light woke up on the floor. His head hurt quite a bit and his eyes took a while to get used to the light. The light skylander attempted to stand, though slipped on the ice coating the floor, landing back on the ground with a loud thump.
"Ow!" he exclaimed, then sighed and stood up using the bench beside him for support. Once the knight could properly stand, he began cleaning up the kitchen, sighing dramatically multiple times during the cleaning process.

Knight Light sighed as Wash Buckler commented on the toaster. Then screamed in a rather high pitch when Spy Rise fell from the roof, cluttering the kitchen with more debris. He would never get used to the Spyder's addiction to falling through roofs. Knight Light, once again, let out and exaggerated sigh and went back to cleaning up his kitchen.
Freeze Blade heard a scream. It was too high pitched to be anyone but Knight Light's so he instantly got up and skated off to the kitchen. Once he got there he noticed the mess... and the hole in the roof. So Spy Rise spooked him. Casting an eye to the side, he noticed, like every morning, most of the other skylanders sitting on the couch and binging Skylanders Academy on the tv. Freeze Blade didn't hesitate to join them.
"DR KRANKCASE!" the short mage shouted, running down the hall, his sleepers squeaking as he ran. "KRANKY BUTT!!" he called again. Chompy Mage ran into the lounge, tripped on his own cape and fell face first on the ground. The mage was quickly on his feet again and jumping on Dr Krankcase,
"KRANKCASE!" he shouted in the green-skinned, skylander's face.

Chompy Mage began to tear up as he was thrown off, "I had a bad dream..." he sniffed, his mind still remembering the terrible things he saw.
In King Pen's room, water covered almost every surface. The big penguin was sat in the bath tub and splashing around as if he were drowning. He had been allowed to have a bath in his room so that he didn't dirty the bathroom or any other room. A little puddle of water flowed under the door to his room and onto the floor of the hall, though King Pen was far too busy playing in the bath... if you could call it that... to notice. He was having so much fun that his shouting, laughing and screeching could be heard throughout the whole base.

Chompy Mage looked up at the doctor with red, watery eyes,
"It was the Golden Queen! She was hurting my chompies!" he cried, sniffling into his long white beard. He seemed to get nightmares quite often and Dr Krankcase was always the first he would go to since they were both reformed villains and rather good friends.
Freeze Blade rolled his icy eyes and picked up the remote, tapping the volume button to turn it up and drown out the sound of the crying mage.
Knight Light finally finished cleaning up the kitchen and went straight to cooking breakfast. He decided pancakes since they're simple and quick and don't require too much mess to make.
