REMRoleplay - Dec 28th 2019 04:52

Two top-secret organisations have been fighting for centuries. Now, their fight has caused problems for everyone.
S.H.R.A.S (Super-Human Research And Studies) and S.T.O.P (Super-Human Take-Over Project) have been competing in very different ways. S.H.R.A.S aims to rid the world of superpowered people, while S.T.O.P wants to use superhumans to take over the world. Both evil and both wanting to take over the world in some way. It came to the point where both organisations were causing harm to the world and it began with an event known as, The Eclipse.

S.T.O.P aims to create and use superhumans in their quest for world domination, while S.H.R.A.S wants the superhumans gone so they can rule without fear of being overthrown. With all the technology these two organisations possess, they could potentially cause much damage to the world, and that they did on the day of the Eclipse which was caused when some of S.T.O.P’s technology and S.H.R.A.S’ technology accidently became one for a brief moment. This collision of technology, mixed with the eclipse that just happened to occur at the same time, caused almost every baby born within the minute to gain some supernatural ability. Most of the babies born didn’t survive the effects of the eclipses, but some lucky ones were gifted… or rather… cursed with an ability. A supernatural power or powers that allowed them to do some pretty weird stuff. The powers ranged, though would often come with at least one rather bad weakness.

A few years after the eclipse, evidence of these powers began to show and the organisations fought to possess each and every one of the babies born on that day. Many escaped, many were not found, few were taken and used, and others killed. More years passed since the event and these, now teenage, superhumans are still being hunted down and taken by S.H.R.A.S and S.T.O.P.

It’s been 16 years since the eclipse. Some of the ones affected are in hiding, some know not of their power and others are on the run. There are also those few who have been taken by one of the organisations and some of them who are trying to escape. There are a few others outside of the organisations who may know of these kids and may want to try and help them but for those who are aware of their powers know of the constant threat that looms over them and the only way to survive is to run, hide and hope or come together and take out the threat once and for all.

Name: Siavash Yasin
Gender: Male
Age: 16

Appearance: Due to being born on the eclipse, his appearance has changed. His skin is a charcoal brown colour, his eyes grey and his hair black. His hair is very long, reaching down to about his ankles. He can’t cut it for it would just grow back. He’s shorter for his age and he’s very slim, due to the eclipse.

Personality: Siavash doesn’t understand jokes or sayings and rarely smiles or shows any signs of happiness. This is due to him growing up in S.T.O.P. He’s socially awkward and automatically thinks people think the worst of him and therefore, is always trying to get better. He wants to learn how to talk and interact with people though being in S.T.O.P. makes it hard since everyone ignores him. Siavash is almost completely void of hope, he doesn't believe he'll ever be free and therefore, doesn't try though deep down he does believe that maybe someone could help him get out and bring back the hope he once had. He’s very determined. If he has a mission, he will complete it. Even though he doesn’t show emotion, he feels emotion very easily and he’s quite sympathetic, though he doesn’t know how to help people with their emotional or social problems, he just feels sympathetic for them.

Backstory: Siavash was born during the eclipse. After that, his life changed. When he was only four, his parents were killed by S.T.O.P agents who had found him. They took Siavash and made him work for them. For twelve years, he worked and slaved for the organisation, unknown and unseen to the world. He lost all hope of escape and feared that even if he did, he would only be brought back again. Recently, Siavash has been given the task of tracking down, hunting and capturing others like him; other Eclipse kids. Though he hates it, Siavash has no choice but to obey.

Powers/Abilities: Siavash can move through shadows. While he’s in the shadows he can’t harm anything or anyone unless they’re also in the shadows. He can turn into a shadow stallion though only does so when absolutely needed as it leaves him weak and takes a lot of stamina. He’s also a skilled sword fighter and when he looks into someone’s eyes long enough, he can make them sleep, as long as they’re will isn’t strong enough to beat it.

Weakness/s: Another effect of the eclipse caused Siavash’s body to be extremely weak. His skin cuts easily and injuries will affect him worse than it would normal people. His shadow stallion power can be weakening.

Weapons (If any): A sword made from light that can cut through most and it feels as if it barely weighs anything.

(Thank you, one thing about the backstory, if S.H.R.A.S. go to her they wouldn't use her to track down others, they would only experiment and attempt to take her powers away from her. S.T.O.P. is the only one that uses them but even in that case it would be very similar to my character's backstory. I was hoping to have a wide range of people coming from different backgrounds and stories. Would you be able to change that? Other than that, I love this character, she'll be a great addition to the team :) )

(Yes, I can't wait either :) I hope more people join. I think I'll wait for one more person before starting. If no one joins in a few days, I'll just start)

(I was thinking to join a few days ago, but only if someone joined, and now that someone joined...why not)

Name: Akai Toshiki
Gender: Male
Age: 16
Appearance (picture or description):
Art found in Zerochan.
Original Character is Mikazuki Augus from Iron Blooded Orphans

Personality: Akai is still able to harbor his human emotions, Akai is an calm but bitter person. His face that shows no emotion and bitterness tends to make people intimidated of him, making people scared to talk to him. Because sense no one talks to him aside from a group of close friends Akai is also a quiet person, it doesn't mean he lacks any social skills or is socially inept in general.
While being Bitter, Akai cares deeply for his friends and isn't scared to put his life on the line for them even if it mean't guaranteed permanent death.

Backstory: Akai was born in Tokyo, Japan to two parents who were working for S.H.R.N.A, his parents were well unaware of Akai's powers and he was thought as like any child. He was described by his parents to be a cheerful but ditzy child who naively believed that only good and bad existed. One day when Akai was playing in the back yard by himself, he activated a huge Claw Arm that he played around with as if it was a toy, as soon as his parents found out that there child was a Superhuman they didn't turn him into S.H.R.A.S.

Akai's parents quitting S.H.R.A.S. created a huge suspicion and as soon as they came to the house, Akai's family evacuated before they could get him, but before the family could evacuate, they would get caught by the S.H.R.A.S. His parents were executed and so was Akai for fighting back. The families death was covered up by S.H.R.A.S to stop controversy. A week later, Akai would wake up in an S.T.O.P facility alive right when Surgeons started preparing surgery on him due to his "dead" body that was regenerating for some reason

Fascinated by his abilities of immortality and body transformation, Akai was made a super soldier for S.T.O.P. Throughout the years though because of his flawed immortality, Akai would distant himself from other people putting him in a psychological problem known as the "Hedgehogs Dilemma". As he grew up into a teenager, his own morality would change, from thinking only Good and Evil existed, to believing that any ideals that are not his are wrong and therefore are the enemy.

Despite having the best of the best, Akai prefers not to use it to his own advantage aside from the training that S.T.O.P. gives him, and prefers to live in much more poor conditions in a dorm like the average person does. Akai does go to an Boarding High School where he has a small group of friends who describe him as much more a much more happier person who expresses much more.

Powers/Abilities: Akai power is that he gained during the eclipse which was assumed to be created by S.T.O.P. Akai's powers grants him immortality but if his heart is completely destroyed (Like just gone) then Akai will surely die, though another organic human heart completely similar to his can be made to bring him back. His powers come with the ability to turn his arm into weapons, such as a large claw that he can slash enemies with or a shield that he can protect himself with.

Weakness/s: With every death of Akai comes with the lost of his own humanity and memories. He becomes more and more emotionless to the point where he has a possible chance of losing his own sentience if he dies too much (Though it can be rebuilt). If Akai's heart as a whole destroyed, he will actually die for once, though if a heart is implanted that is similar to his after his heart is destroyed, he will come back to life.

Whenever Akai is killed, his body will remain in an inactive state until his body fully recovers leaving him in a vulnerable state for the time being. Depending on the blows on Akai will effect both how badly he loses his humanity, memories and how long it takes for him to recover.

Weapons: Akai uses his body as a weapon. Such as a Claw Arm, to a stinger that appears from his back. Other then that, Akai also uses normal human weaponry, such as actual Guns and Spears that can shape and transform to suit his fighting style.

(I have a few problems with this. First of all, it's S.H.R.A.S. not S.H.R.N.A. but that's just a spelling mistake, the biggest issue is with the powers. The whole premise of this roleplay was that the only way people have supernatural abilities is by being born during the strange eclipse. You can keep the powers, but they can't come from some parasite that S.T.O.P. made. Also, S.T.O.P. treats their super soldiers, as you put it, very well. They get the best of everything and they're also the ones they use to show off to the world and earn it's trust.

The rest is fine, just try not to make the backstory too similar to anyone else's. Your character doesn't have to be held within one of the organisations, they can be roaming around, hiding and simply trying to avoid them. Anyway, if you change those few things, you're accepted, thanks for joining :) )

(Sorry for the mistakes, I'll edit them. I'm usually a sucker for darker themes, so that's why I made the S.T.O.P like that)

12am, S.T.O.P. headquarters. All S.T.O.P. heroes and soldiers were dismissed, allowed to go back to their homes and rest for the night. The agents were to stay as some plan was beginning to brew.

Siavash wasn't like the others. Not like the heroes S.T.O.P. claims them to be. They were free to come and go whenever they wished, they had food, safe and clean homes and were allowed to actually live their lives how they wanted. S.T.O.P. made sure to appear like the good guys to their heroes, make sure they believed they were part of something good, but Siavash knew what really went on behind the scenes.

Siavash wasn't like the others, he was much weaker and, as S.T.O.P. told him, terrifying. They told him he would make a bad impression for them if he were to be on the heroes team so they kept him hidden. Away from the others and only sent him out at night to hunt down others like him. Luckily, he hadn't gotten one of those assignments for a while now. He hated hunting down others like him, allowing S.T.O.P. to manipulate them and turn them into the soldiers they wanted them to be. He would do something about it if S.T.O.P. hadn't already gotten in his head, making him believe he was weak and unimportant. Siavash believed there was nothing else for him, so he simply went along with whatever they told him.

Since he had nothing to do, Siavash was left in his own, small quarters. A tiny squared room with a bed. He was allowed to go out for food or bathroom breaks but otherwise, he was supposed to stay in his little room. He'd grown to not mind it too much. All the time he spent alone in that room he spent thinking. His own thoughts were his company and although it would've been nice to have at least one human being to talk to, his thoughts were fine. He could cope.

Siavash wasn't alone for long as a few S.T.O.P. agents shoved his room door open and called for him to follow them to the mission room where he was quickly told his new mission which was a stranger one than usual. They spoke of S.H.R.A.S. their competitors. They had some people... kids like Siavash held captive there and now Siavash had to get them out of S.H.R.A.S. and into S.T.O.P. After everything he'd heard of S.H.R.A.S. he was okay with taking them out of there. It was much worse than S.T.O.P. Or at least, being at S.T.O.P. was better than S.H.R.A.S. if you were considered powerful enough to be part of the heroes. So, for the first time in a while, Siavash was let out of the headquarters.

S.T.O.P. and S.H.R.A.S. both had similar outcomes, though how they prepared to get to that outcome was entirely different. The two organisations know each other, they know plenty of the other, even the whereabouts of each organisation's headquarters which is why Siavash knew exactly where to head.

Akai stopped working out with a fellow hero after he heard he was dismissed, Akai didn't like working out, but it was the only way to kill time and closest thing to training the S.T.O.P. gave him when they weren't training him. As he put on his coat and looked at the "Hero" with a bitter look unnoticed, who he was working out with, he thought that the ideals of heroes and villains was blasmesphy, as all people had there own ideals.

As he walked out of the work room, he shortly eavesdropped on a few agents who he passed by that were talking to a hero who lived at S.T.O.P. giving him a mission of sort that was about something of saving some kids, well what did it matter to him, it wasn't his mission, As he passed the group he walked outside of the building and headed towards the direction where his form would be at, which would be a 1 hour walk, but what did he have to fear about danger or even death in the matter?
