Dragging on a bad relationship was never a healthy option for the person who was taking the brunt of its effects and you were just that individual who had no choice but to deal with the actions your significant other. Day after day of abuse, both physical and emotional, your will to put up with this kind of life and just life in general, was damn near drawn out to its last strand.
However, the introduction of a new employee working at the part time cafe you were slaving in was an unexpected surprise, especially when you find out just how understanding and loyal he could be. Listening to your struggles and doing his best to find solutions to your problems despite having his own opened your eyes to a world that you hadn't seen since years past when you decided to take care of your partner that refused to tend to you.
With what time passing by and feelings blossoming slowly into a sudden realization of what you really needed in your miserable life, you decide to break things off and confess your feelings to the one man you know that would be there through hell or high water.
What comes of a decision you made for the both of us? Did you bother to see if I felt the same way or if I was just being friendly? Will your shot at happiness be shot down by the same old "sorry, it's not you but me"?
Take the initiative. You suffered too long in something that was anything but real and wholesome. Even if you have to impose your wants on me.
