Historical Romance (FxF, MxF or MxM)

Hi,

I am interested in beginning a historical dramatic romance rp with a literary partner. Please note I do not RP with asterisks and will not roleplay with a partner who writes less than a proper paragraph per reply.

I enjoy the following historical periods/dramas, with a variety of plotlines we could build together once we choose a setting. It can be an ordinary historical romance or a fantasy-historical setting.

1. A roleplay set in the 18th century; be it England, Italy or Russia (or other); an era of poverty, change and revolution contrasted by the fast-paced, lavish lives of aristocrats in lace frills and perfumed coiffures.

2. A classic Victorian setting; rigid social classes and immense expectations of morality with the undertones of the gothic, ugly truth of society crawling beneath the veneer of beauty and the Industrial Revolution.

3. A Renaissance setting: by far the most versatile, as the Renaissance spread around Europe from century to century. This could be set in 15th-century Italy or 16th-17th-century England. Discovery in the air, great creations and art made, and people trying to find their meaning in this existence.

These are a handful of the settings I adore, and if any of these sound like good settings to you, please do let me know. We can come up with plots/ideas together.

I play both male, female and non-binary characters, as such I am more than happy to have this be an RP of any type; I also tend to enjoy stories with multiple characters, so I do tend to expect written development between various characters, both romantic and platonic.

I apologise if this seems intimidating, however, I promise I am quite agreeable once you get to know me.

I have recently been hit with a sudden burst of inspiration. My ideas are loose and can easily be adjusted to suit us both, here are several plot ideas I have in mind:

"Muse A is the goddess of the arts/love/family. Muse B is the God(dess) of war, bloodthirsty and vengeance. In a world where the Gods dwell and breathe amongst mortals, each deity is worshipped and possesses their individual people and lands. When war strikes between the divine, Muse A refuses to get involved; she considers herself above such child's play - and yet, as it carries on, it inevitably spreads further, until the bloodshed seeps into her land, affects /her/ people - and can no longer be ignored.

Frustrated, she travels to the land of Muse B, pleading for assistance. Muse B, surprised to see the sweet little goddess at their altar, agrees...on one condition.

Muse A must marry Muse B, who wishes to have her as their wife."

"The age of the Gods is gone. No longer do the divine live out their immortal lives lavishly up in the heavens, their faithful have forsaken them. No, the divine no longer have the power over the mortal realm as they used to.
Muse A is the god(dess) of nature. She lives amongst mortals, fitting in and pretending to be one of them; she spends her days tending to a tiny garden and farm she possesses in a cottage she resides in, living day-by-day, enjoying the fruits of her own now-limited powers.

Muse A was once the Queen of the Gods and the wife of Muse B until the Fall of the Divine. Her marriage was a forced, unhappy one. A marriage of circumstance which allowed Muse B far more power, for which they were voracious. It was B who eventually led all the Gods to their downfall.
She now enjoys her peaceful life, until she learns of "the Prophecy" - after the mortals stood against the unfair treatment of the Gods and cast them from their obsidian thrones, stripping them of most of their strength, they banished B into another realm, where they remained trapped for aeons. Now, A finds herself having strange dreams - B is to return.

Muse C is a mortal, but they are actually the reincarnated lover of A from centuries ago. By mere chance, A and C meet on A's journey to find a way to stop B from returning whilst fighting against the passionate dreams forced upon her, meant to coerce her into accepting B's return; C has rare magical abilities and could be the key to stopping the prophecy in its tracks - or at least in the secondary defeat of B, should they manage to escape their perpetual prison.
C and A travel together, trying to gather support and spread heed of the prophecy, though most mortals have long-forgotten the age of the divine, viewing it as little than a legend. Nevertheless, they try.
Eventually, A recognises that C is her ex-lover, reborn - but says nothing, they are not hers in this life.
C, however, realises just who A is after a while.

Will they manage to stop the prophecy, or is it bound to occur? Will A fall in love with C in this life, or will she succumb to the will of B?

You can choose which Muse you'd like to play - the story will depend on who our main characters are.
